I've had this problem trying to use spoilers in PMs

[spoiler]but they work fine in the regular forum[/spoiler]

Use the black/yellow circle icon (looks a lot like the old fallout-shelter sign) on the full reply page or put [spoiler]tags around your text.[/spoiler]

spoilers also do not work in signatures, i believe.
