Ossanlin shakes his head.  <Tamora will not be going anywhere, least of all the Empire.  As far as I'm concerned, she's a prisoner of war.  I don't believe that you value your own life so little.  I do not have a problem with you leaving, your memory has been wiped, all negative information has been removed.  If you really wish to leave, then by all means do so, your host has been an unending annoyance.  You will not bring anyone else with you.  Neither Myitt nor Tamora.  Tamora represents a rather large security risk.  I'll not go into the details.  She will be placed into protective custody, tried, and most likely sent to a maximum security detention center as a prisoner of war until the war is over.>

Ossanlin ****s his head.  <That is my one and only offer.  Do you really think Myitt wouldn't rather die than see that horridly twisted human girl go free?  If I have to shoot you down, I will, all passengers with you.>  Ossanlin quirks an eye, he should've killed Tamora...he'd had two chances and let them go.  He certainly would not see her spread her dangerous knowledge like a sickly plague developed by the Empire.

<What are you gonna do, boss?> Cody asked.

<I suppose I could just leave, then tell people about this place. Though they may not believe me or see fit to run a memory dump. Then again, I'd like to ensure Tamora comes with me. It's not like I've become completely heartless yet. She has no friends here, and her sister wants her dead. They kidnapped her for reasons I'm unsure of, and at best all she has to look forward to is a prison cell looked after by Andalites. Such a waste of a perfectly voluntary host.> He said, lowering his head in thought.

"Why not simply wipe her memory and let her go with me? Is it because she's voluntary? You'll just keep her locked up for choosing a side that isn't yours. I suppose that's to be expected in war, though. Of course I don't want to leave her in your hands. Any voluntary host is a prize for the Empire. If you wish Myitt to die, so be it. I could make sure everyone in the bar hears her death screams because you had to have your Human prisoner of war. Are we really worth that?"

Sukohn noticed Cody was armed with a concealed weapon, but had no way of pulling it out and using it while two weapons were trained on him.

<The situation doesn't look too great.>

<It isn't too great. This was an ill conceived plan. I'll just have to hope that he favors the Yeerk rebel enough to let the three of us leave.>

((Crap. I really need to stop doing this whole 'life' thing so I don't miss important posts!))

Tamora takes over the piloting controls as Cody leaves the ship. She is about to close the hatch when Myitt yells.

"Quiet!" Tamora cries, whipping around to face the hostage. She quickly mans the controls, ordering the hatch closed and powering up the engines. She is too late to silence Myitt, but she manages to get the Bug off the ground and raise the shields. She does not go far, commanding the ship to hover a few dozen feet off the ground, above the Mirage. Cody had made it clear that he wanted her to escape without him if necessary, but she felt that she owed it to him to stick around and ensure their safety. Besides, Tamora thinks, glancing at Bear, I don't think the Empire approves of pets.

As soon as they are hovering safely Tamora rounds on Myitt. "You'll pay for that, dapsen," she says levelly. She picks up the Dracon Beam that was taken from Myitt moments before and tosses it unceremoniously into the back of the fighter, amongst the other supplies. Then, she removes her own Dracon from its holster, levelling the weapon at Myitt.

"Don't give me an excuse to kill you, rebel," she warns.

Myitt, who in actuality is quite alarmed to have a Dracon aimed at her human body, simply shakes her head.

"I thought you already had an excuse to kill me?" she replies.

Ossanlin shakes his head and commands his own ship to lift off with thought-speech.  The engines cycle as the Mirage hums to life.  <Normally I would be rather agreeable to the memory wipe, however she has comitted atrocities here that cannot go unpunished.  I'm sure you can see from Cody's memory that I gave her an ultimatum...try to harm any of my friends or responsibilities and die.  And what do you suppose she's doing now hmm?  If Myitt comes to harm, Tamora dies period.  Whether that be by the Mirage's shredders or that twisted human's mentally ill actions.>

<Tamora will be punished Sukohn.  She had her chance to leave...I gave her her freedom after we landed.  But no...she had to try to get revenge didn't she?  Her own actions have 'damned' her so to speak.  She left the chance to leave behind, that was her choice.  She's not going anywhere.>

Sukohn sighed. "Why do Humans have to be so emotional, anyway? Though I would think an Andalite would be accustomed to the notion of revenge. Don't you have some kind of law that states family members have to take revenge on the Yeerk that killed one of their own? I suppose you are correct. Cody knew good and well that you threatened to kill Tamora if she threatened one of your friends. I'd rather not see my ship and its supplies get torn apart, but I suppose there isn't anything I can do. I just hope the Human has the presence of mind to at least try to run."

<Taking the rebel hostage was a bad move. Now they will both die.>

<Well, what would you have done?>

<Eat a bunch of humble pie, and see where I could get diplomatically.>

<Ugh. don't make me nauseous.>

Corliss smiles at Terenia.

"Good," he replies, nodding.  "I'm holding you to that."

The holoscreen flickers, and a pale and freckled face appears of a young man, perhaps in his early 20's, with a shaggy shock of red hair.

He nods at his brother.

"Hello, Corliss," he says.  "I am sorry to hear that we have lost our two friends.  Hadrin and Justin were good men."

"Yes, we're sorry as well," says Corliss with a glance at the floor.  "It was a very unfortunate loss."  He looks up at Terenia.  "Reven, this is the human-Yeerk nothlit.  Her Andalite host is named Efaen.  Of course, they are in morph."

Reven nods, looking Terenia up and down.  "Well met, both of you," says the Yeerk.  "You are certainly an unusual combination.  I'd enjoy hearing more about your history."

Corliss raises a hand.  "Reven, there's...been a bit of a situation, Tora needs my assistance.  I'll leave you with Terenia?"

Reven crosses his arms.  "Tora?" he asks sharply, concerned.  "Well, hell, if she needs your help, what are you waiting for?  Go!"

Corliss hesitates for a moment, nodding encouragingly at Terenia.  Then he checks his Dracon power level and steps out of the ship, sealing Terenia inside.

((gonna wait for Luke before I post for Tamora))

Terenia remains sitting, her muscles seemingly frozen into place as she stares at the holoscreen with an unreadable expression. She is fighting an internal battle. Half of her is thrilled with Corliss' trust in her, and the opportunity this presents for her potential freedom. The other half of her is embroiled in anxiety. What if Reven rejects her?

"Um." Terenia works her jaw, trying to loosen up a bit, "Hi."

((I need to know exactly where Sukohn and Myitt are. Because Mar is going to go there and probably try to do something. XD ))

Mar closes his eyes and tenses his hands, trying to pinpoint Myitt's aura. Mar smiles. It's a lot easier than he expected. It should have occurred to him that all he would have to do to find Myitt would be to look for his own aura where it shouldn't be. If he hurries, he can interrupt whatever is happening. Conjuring anything at all seems to be a problem, but he has been able to use movement spells this entire time. Perhaps he can teleport himself inside the ship. But not from this distance. He must get closer.

Mar then gestures for Elayne to follow him, hurriedly running out the door towards the source of his own aura mingled with someone else's. "Come on. We must hurry before Myitt is damaged. I might have an idea, though it will put me in danger."

Tora finally reaches the hatch door, but the smoke is now so thick against the ceiling that she must crouch to continue breathing--which only serves to make her injured leg even more uncomfortable. To make matters worse, she cannot verbally order the hatch to open, as what remaining functional ship controls are set to only accept manual orders. At shoulder height beside the opening is a keypad that would order it to unseal itself, but it is well above the smoke level.

Kneeling on the floor by the door, Tora keeps one hand over her nose while stretching her other upwards along the hull wall, searching for the keypad that will finally afford her some fresh air. It must be higher than she thinks, because her fingers cannot seem to find it.

Elayne nods, snatching her utility belt from the floor, where her Dracon is holstered. She takes a moment to buckle it in place before hurrying out the door after Mar.

Corliss jogs along through the woods, in the direction of the billowing smoke from Tora's fighter.

---

Reven watches Terenia, and his icy demeanor melts a little.

"Hello," he says curiously.  "So, you are the human girl in the body of a Yeerk, with an Andalite host...and now in your human morph, I presume.  Is there a rarer creature in the galaxy?"  He smiles, then looks over at another holoscreen.  "Now, from what Corliss has sent me, he believes the two of you should be relocated to our facility.  Terenia, I'd like you to start by telling me why you'd like to join us?  Of course you understand the consequences of what that would mean?"

<Lets not complicate things Sukohn.  You are a ruthless and self-serving Yeerk, much like many of your kind.  I have no problem with that or you in the slightest.  My weapons will stay trained on you for my own safety.  Believe me, I have little desire to use them on you.  The three beings in that ship mean nothing to you...would you really sacrifice yourself and everything you have for those who have no value to you?>  Ossanlin shakes his head dismissively, main eyes staying on Sukohn acutely.

<It makes no sense.  Just ask them to come out of your ship and move away, that's all that's necessary you know.  Just tell them to land, leave the ship, and come onboard the Mirage.  Then you can board your ship in peace and leave.  I'll even clear you past the blockade just to be rid of your troublesome host.>  The engines whir, ready to lift the ship off at a moment's notice.  Ossanlin leaves the shields in place as well, in case the human decided to try and take a pot-shot at him.
