Corliss crosses his arms, sneering at Mar.

"What's he doing here, then?" he asks loudly.  At the entrance of the Hork-Bajir named Dara he remains silent; the creature leaves soon enough, at any rate.

---

Myitt smiles at the audio display.  "Oh, no trouble at all," she replies, still moving the ship closer to Salem's.  Turning the audio transmission off, she looks back at her two comrades.

"Alic, keep us on their tail.  Tora, can you take out either of their engines?"

Tora frowns. "I... I see no engines, Myitt," she murmurs as she rifles through the controls to draws up a holo-sight designed for precision aiming. "I will attempt a glancing blow," she announces, presuming Myitt wants her to err on the side of not shooting the ship down and killing all inside. Biting her bottom lip, she fires a shot -- a single, quick pulse -- towards the edge of the ship.

Still staring at my drink, though now somewhat less dejectedly as I've let a bit of time pass, I hear a commotion above the din of the regular crowd. A Hork-Bajir voice outside, yelling about Yeerks. Years of military instinct take over and I stand, oblivious to the fact that, according to the knowledge I have, the Yeerk threat was neutralized years ago. It didn't matter. Instinct.
Knocking over my chair, I begin to demorph to Andalite form, my tail shooting out behind my as my haunches grow a new set of legs and extend behind me. My arms weaken and my eye stalks for above my head, giving me the blessed 360degree vision I miss so much as I human. Moments later I'm back to my normal form, tail at the ready, eyes locked on the door as I start slowly toward it, wondering what slow-witted Hork-Bajir has brought on a Yeerk problem here.

<Yeerks.> I sneer in though-speak, open to the nearby crowd which includes the Director fellow and Tamora. <Are they still a threat in this strange corner of the universe?>

<Please remain calm, sir.> Claxter said, thinking the controller coming was Temrash. <This place has several controllers, but few Imperial Loyalists. <There is no need in hostilities between their kind and ours here.> Though he recalled the first time he was aware of controllers in the building, and reacted the same way. <The only ones you need to worry about is the girl you've been sitting with, This Human and the Yeerk he is allied with, and a certain bounty hunter.>

Tamora stiffened when Ronny rose and began to demorph, her face frozen in an expression of indecision and fear. She is freed from her shock by Claxter's voice and whirls to face the Andalite warrior, her lip raising in a momentary snarl before her features settle back into relative blankness.

"Because I am such a threat," Tamora says, rolling her eyes at the Andalite warrior, "Weaponless as I am, and surrounded by so many who could destroy me with barely a thought on their part." She turns back to Prince Ronny, unable to keep from entirely flinching away from his tail, "Yes, I am quite the menace."

---

Terenia looks satisfied once the Hork-Bajir moves away, although her expression does not soften. Instead she casts a wary glance in Mar's direction. She knows that he dislikes her, and she herself has tried to kill him on at least one occasion. Then again, she has also bought him a drink. The uncertainty of it all makes the sudden crowd seem claustrophobic.

"C'mon," she mutters to Ossanlin and Corliss, "Let's get those weapons."

----

Trey's hacking devolves into a retching sound as he empties his stomach of the burger he had inhaled at the bar. He tries to find his way to the hatch of his defunct ship, but the entire cabin is swelling with smoke. He crawls straight into a wall, turns around, and crawls into another one. As lightheadedness begins to settle in he begins to panic, trying to avoid the sparking fire while finding the exit.

From outside his ship, slow tendrils of smoke wisp lazily into the sky.

<Well, you are certainly not an ally. That's all I'm saying.> Claxter said. True she was unarmed, but he certainly wouldn't want her watching over him as he slept.

Temrash continued looking at Ossanlin for a response, not really concerned that Terenia was close by. He figured they were just watching her for various reaons, unaware of her change of heart.

At the sound of thought-speak in my head I turn. An Andalite. a Warrior I do not recognize. <You. Soldier. Identify yourself. Who are you?>

I keep one eye stalk on the door as the rest of my head turns to face Claxter. <What do you mean, this human? What threat could she be to you, or to any of us?>

<My name is Claxter Karmesh Sinopul. Warrior subordinate of Prince Ossanlin, Captain of his own Dome Ship which resides in this planetoid's outer orbit. The Human is the voluntary host of an Imperial that was murdered. She is no ally of ours, though she poses little threat on her own at the moment.>

<There's a dome ship in orbit?> I say, surprised. <I didn't detect it when I came out of zspace. Hm.>

I look him over once and then something clicks. <Ossanlin, you said? I know that name.> I straighten my back and look the warrior in straight on. <I want to speak to your commander. Tell him Prince Ronny-Alleron-Esgarth has returned.>

One eye returns to the unidentified Hork-Bajir, unsure of what to do about him, despite the fact that he appears oblivious to us at this time.

<Yes sir.> Claxter said. He didn't really know where his Prince was, as Oss hadn't been back for a long time. He rally should go search for his Prince anyway.

<Now that I look again, that Hork-Bajir controller doesn't look like the ally of my Prince that I was thinking of.> He said as he made his way towards the door. He excused himself and went outside to look for Ossanlin.

The lower ranking officer already near-forgotten but for the order to find Ossanlin - Ossanlin! Finally someone I'm familiar with! - I turn my full attention to the Hork-Bajir. I approach, tail at the ready, but the diplomatic tone of a calmer person at the front. <You. Hork-Bajir. Who are you? Why did you come in here yelling about Yeerks?>

When Claxter identifies Tamora as an ex-voluntary Controller and an Imperial sympathizer she tenses, waiting for the tail strike that would end her life. When none comes, she relaxes slightly. Prince Ronny seems more interested in the Hork-Bajir than her.

Well, she thinks to herself wryly, you did just point out how helpless you are, and he's covered in blades. Why would he care about a pitiful little human?

An eye stalk flips back toward Tamora as she shuffles in her seat. <Don't think you're forgotten, sympathizer. We shall see what you have to say later.>
The eye stays trained on her as the body continues to approach the animal at the bar.

"So are you an escaped slave?" Cody asked the Hork. "Seems like you somehow got away and are trying to come in here to hide."
