((GESB: The Musical. lolz. Don't worry, Tara, my characters drive away romance, the darned things. Observe.))
Terenia's eyes widen momentarily before closing. At first her lips feel stiff and unnatural against his, but she eventually relaxes into the kiss, scooting to close the inch or two of space between their bodies. Her stomach seems to melt and her hands are shaking as she tries to figure out where to put them, first on his shoulder, then his back, then on her lap, then back to his shoulder. When they finally break apart she has a look of relative shock on her face. She opens her mouth to sheepishly admit that he just delivered her first kiss.
"She called Visser Three on Mirage," her voice hisses instead.
Terenia clamps her mouth shut, hand flying to cover her offending lips. Her eyes widen a second time as she realizes what has just happened. Efaen had taken advantage of her distraction, even egging her on by giving advice, until in a moment of weakness she could break through her control. A sudden wave of guilt hits Terenia like a punch to the gut.
<Why?> Terenia asks, horrified, <You could have told him when I was feeding.>
<I want to watch you make him suffer, not merely have you see it in my memories,> Efaen responds coolly, and Terenia realizes that her earlier smugness had nothing to do with her dating advice.
