Terenia chews on her lip, contemplating. What would be the best form of payment for someone like Keshin? A flicker of a previous overheard conversation comes to mind.

"Medicine," she says grimly, "the best available, top of the line, and anything new being tested. I can access any and all of it, but only if I can get back to the Blade Ship. Which won't happen without your help. I can give you money as well, as much as you want. Hell, I'll even throw in a new ship if you'd like. It wouldn't be the first one I've commandeered from the dear Visser."

She hesitates, pulling her arm away from Keshin, "better extend my request to Myitt as well. She knows the Andalites plans and while I don't think she'd directly attack me Ossanlin especially can be quite...convincing. So, is it a deal?"

Elayne flinched at his actions and recoiled, her eyes widening. Then they narrowed and she glowered right back at him. "I know it could change me, Mar. It know it could destroy me. At this point, I don't care." The she sighed and looked away, speaking in a mumble. "Thanks for the concern, though. It's... it's not something I'm particularly used to."

Ossanlin looks at the cube Myitt's holding and nods slightly.  <Yes, the dimensions are perfect!  We'll have to cut it open to place the proper devices inside.  I may have to fly up to the Tyrennian for stun charges...unless you happen to have some?  It doesn't particularly matter I suppose.  And you don't have to worry about the paint.>  Ossanlin smiles a bit.  <I believe I can alter the molecular structure of the steel to make it appear absolutely genuine.>

Ossanlin looks around the Skimmer and realizes that Terenia has left.  He gives a mental shrug.  It would be very difficult for her to leave, and he thought that maybe he had gotten through to her just a bit.

Ossanlin jerks a bit as he feels a powerful wave of energy surge from the bar...he recognizes Mar's signature.  <Hmm that must've been a powerful emotion.>  His thought is quiet and directed to no-one in particular.

He moves his gaze back to Myitt.  <And then we need the technology screen.  I don't know why I allow myself to get into these situations...I'm supposed to be relaxing.  But I suppose I should've gone to the Homeworld if I wanted to relax eh?>  Ossanlin chuckles conspiratorily and nudges Myitt with an elbow.

Sukohn realised Keshin hadn't followed, so he carried the box over. He noticed the Human was distracting keshin, and asking him to keep the Andalites from taking her.

"You must be Terenia then. I'm about to leave this place in a bit, so if you want to escape the Andalites I suppose you can ride with me. I don't know whose side you're really on, but it's obviously not theirs. Keshin, this box consists of my downpayment. I promise to get you something better once I complete my mission."

<Why are you risking our butts for that girl?> His host asked.

<To spite the young Andalite. Why else.>

"Come on. You don't have a big window for this."

Keshin stares off into space, thinking over Terenia's proposition. What Terenia was offering was possible, assuming she was able to gain access to the locations she suggested. <But it would mean getting into a bigger fight than we ever planned.>

<We've gotten alive through worse, Kess.>

<.......yeah, but is it worth it?>

<If she means it, it's worth it for us. We don't have much comin' up 'sides Corliss in the future.>

Keshin then turns to Terenia and states very quietly, "If you can actually pull that off, than it's a deal. But if it gets too bad for us, keep in mind that we may bail or we will suffer."

Keshin then turns towards Sukohn and the box and glances through the contents. Keshin rolls his eyes irritably. "...is this all you have? I do not work cheap, and don't think that you can dupe me. If I do not recieve it in full when you have found your reward, I will find your rich head and blow it off."
*******************************************************************************************************************
Mar snarls. This sounds almost animal-like, considering it's coming from human lips. "You don't care that you could become an entirely different person? That you may become an Imperial who doesn't give a damn about the madman in the Bar? I will have you know Miss...that if you change Time than I will do whatever is in my power to retrieve your precious identity. Do you understand?" Mar gives her an urgent and very sad look.

"I'm sorry that I didn't come here loaded. I'm just a low rank grunt that almost died in battle and came here not expecting to find what I found. I will make sure to look you up if I succeed, which shouldn't be hard if you're a hunter of any noteriety. I'm not planning to backstab you, or hide behind the Empire's forces. I'm not that kind of guy."

Terenia nods at Keshin, satisfied. "Thank you."

Turning her attention to Sukohn, she is more hesitant, "I may take you up on that offer, but at the moment it is safer for me to remain here. If you have urgent issues you need not wait up for me. I have my own ship, it's just a matter of getting it around Ossanlin's Dome Ship and into open space."

"Thank you again," Terenia says to Keshin sincerely, "you won't regret this. I have to go inside now."

Terenia gives them both a half-hearted smile before turning and walking into the bar. She notes Claxter by the back door and gives a mental sigh of relief. He's too far away to have heard anything of their transaction. She heads to the bar and slips into an empty stool, ordering a glass of root beer.

"Do you do food?" Terenia asks the bartender, seeming to remember that he does, "I'd like a cheeseburger, please. With all the fixings."

The bartender glowers, but disappears into the back room, returning with a huge burger and even a side of fries. Eagerly, Terenia digs in.

"If she's going to give the Andalites problems about leaving, thn I probably shouldn't stay." Sukohn said. "Thanks Keshin. Just be patient, and wish me luck. Oh, and try to cover my escape if something happens, will you?" With that Sukohn leaves for his ship. He almost forgot to even look at the napkin, and when he did he gave a small laugh at the Human names. He would go to Earth, find one of these Humans, and everything would begin to fall into place. He entered his ship and began making preparations to leave.

At the bar Claxter wondered what took terenia so long to entr behind him. Had she talked to the Yeerks outside? He felt he shouldn't haveen so quick to enter, and should have stayed outside. But then everything was starting to go right, and she was finally starting to work with them, instead of against them. At least he thought so.

(I wonder how Sukohn leaving will effect Terenia's efforts to stay after Mar tells Ossanlin what elayne did. And they find out Sukohn has just left, or is just leaving.)

Elayne was far more taken aback by Mar's words than his tone, which still managed to make her flinch again. After staring at him in shock a long moment, her eyes softened and she sighed. "Mar..." she whispered, her tone soft, "You truly are mad." She reached for his hand then slowly nodded. "I'll get the names back, I promise." She slid off the stool and looked towards the bar's door, wondering if she could sneak after Sukhon, wherever he had gone. She had a Dracon of her own and a silent tread, so she figured that, if she could sneak up on him, she could overwhelm him.

(Ehehehe. x3 I just noticed an unintentional Freudian slip in this post. Mar was supposed to say "previous identity" but instead he said "precious identity." Which I think is much funnier and fitting so I'm leaving it that way. ; )  ))

Keshin finds himself standing alone outside the Bar, after having nodded his goodbyes to both Terenia and Sukohn. Keshin then kicks at the floor lightly, groaning. "Joanne, what in the hell have I gotten myself mixed up in? It's as if we can't even go to this place without nearly getting killed."

<We really can't, Kess.>

Keshin nods tiredly. "That's a very good point." Keshin then massages his shoulder, glancing it over. "...that's looking somewhat better. Not perfect at all, but we can fire with it. We're going to need some juice, though. Getting way too hyped up. Odds are we're going to be here for the long haul, and we need about a day and a half at least."

Keshin rummages about in his jumpsuit's pockets and eventually pulls out something you wouldn't expect the average bounty hunter to be carrying around---a syringe filled with a peculiar clear liquid. Keshin then messes around with his arms until he locates a convenient working vein, and with the practiced hand of a former drug addict injects the liquid into Joanne's body. Keshin waits and then nods calmly, his breathing slowing down somewhat. Keshin then wanders back into the Bar and slumps down in the nearest chair.
*****************************************************************************************************
Mar watches Elayne leave the Bar stool and frowns. The woman may have no idea what she is getting into. I at least need to warn someone with more firepower. But...I admittedly have no idea if he will help. He seems to be busy with some kind of problem of his own. Mar then stands up and glances about the Bar, and eventually sends a message to Ossanlin. <...I have a problem, though I know you are clearly distracted. A woman from the future has given the bounty hunter the names of the resistance fighters currently located on Earth. The bounty hunter has probably transmitted this information to a makeshift client somewhere outside or within the Bar. From what I hear of your affairs this would not be good for you.>

Mar's telepathic voice cracks a little. <And if she gives someone this information now...it may drastically change her future if the bounty hunter's client is from the same dimension as herself.>

Elayne watched Keshin re-enter the Bar and, waiting until he was sitting and seemingly relaxed, she slipped out of the building and into the shipyard. It was not difficult to spot where Sukhon might be, as there was only one Yeerk fighter powering up to depart. She cursed; if he was about to leave the Bar, she had very little time at all. Briefly, she wondered about convincing Keshin to join her in this effort, but she dismissed it immediately, knowing there was no time to strike a deal and that she was going to have to do something about the fact that he also knew the Animorphs' names. Using other ships as visual shields, she weaved between them and drew her Dracon as she crept closer to Sukhon's fighter.

Sukohn sat in his chair as he finished typing in the coordinates. The engines came alive as the ship began takeoff procedure, and the autopilot engaged. His shields were up, and he kept a casual gaze on the viewscreen.

"I'll check," Myitt says, bringing up the tech screen and performing a scan of the ship's inventory.  "It looks like Corliss didn't supply the Skimmer with any stun charges.  But it should be no problem to cut the thing open and arm it.  I'm glad it will work well enough, regarding Escafil devices the ship's data weren't exactly the greatest help."

She smiles a bit.  "If I wanted to be on a real vacation, I suppose I'd set up shop somewhere in Hawaii," Myitt muses.  "On the beach, perhaps.  Plenty of pineapple and Kandrona wave-particle generators.  I certainly wouldn't complain."

Myitt gestures to the screen.  "I can translate it if you like, otherwise feel free to access what you need."  She lightly touches Ossanlin's arm.  "Just you.  Not the other one," she adds, lowering her voice.

Terenia puts down the remnants of her burger and takes a long gulp of her pop. Wiping her mouth with the back of her arm she surveys the bar, noting Elayne's sudden disappearance coinciding with Keshin's reappearance. Vaguely, she wonders if that has anything to do with the Imperial, but she dismisses the idea. It certainly isn't her business.

She realizes then that the one who Elayne had been talking to, the man in the odd outfit who had been so rude to her earlier, is the only one in her proximity and he looks rather distraught. Terenia knows it is best to just ignore him rather than invite more trouble, but cannot help herself from scoffing slightly.

"Looks as though your night's taken a turn for the worse, eh?" she says, casually hooking her bare feet behind the bar stool rung.

Mar notices Terenia's presence close to him, and scowls at her. She was absolutely not the human he wanted to see at this particular moment. He would rather see sweet Elayne, safe and...when did he start caring about this woman? Mar imagines it's best not to mull over it now and turns towards Terenia.

"My friend is busy trying to help you for some inane reason and yet another individual is going to get herself erased or killed," Mar states in an unpleasant voice. "I'm having just an absolutely fantastic day. And developing sarcasm. Maybe it comes of staying in this repulsive establishment too long."
