Ossanlin watches the memories impassively and tamps down on his revulsion of Visser 3.  Not because he was an involuntary Yeerk controller, but because of his mind...his acceptance of war-crime and cruelty as a daily occurance, and one to be enjoyed at that.  He shakes his head as he sees the voluntary controller that is Tamara.  She looked to have no desire to be 'saved.'

Ossanlin nods as Myitt speaks and trots over to her limp form.  He presses the clip on her ear and the touch-screen flashes Yeerk symbols displaying options.  Ossanlin taps the option to abort Myitt's connection.  The computer does so and her form vanishes from the visual display.  He presses a series of touch-buttons to disengage the probe.  A warning-message pops up in the irregular Yeerk symbols.  Ossanlin isn't fluent in Yeerkish, but he's pretty sure it means that there's a power-surge happening in the system.  His many-fingered hands glide over the touch-screen swiftly as he navigates through sub-directories as he isolates the surge and commands a complimentary wave of energy to counter the surge.  The screen blinks and the warning message fades out.  Ossanlin lets out a deep breath he didn't realize he'd been holding.  He glances up at Claxter before pressing a couple more touch-buttons and commanding the probe to disengage, the living wires withdrawing and snaking out of Tara's head.

Ossanlin peels Tara's eyelids up to see if she had any pupillary response and also to help her come around again.  He gently taps her left cheek with a couple of fingers very lightly.  <Myitt?  Are you well?>

Fletcher had been out at the ship taking care of things. It had been a couple hours since the others left. He had chosen, along with a couple of Morgan's crewmen, to stay behind. Someone had to keep an eye on Gaz's ship since they weren't taking it with them.

Fletcher double checked what he had been working on in the engine room and walked into the bar, got a drink, and sat down.

"When we realised there were Andalites here, as wll as Yeerks mingling with them,I was a bit surprised he didn't just turn around, start up his bugfighter, and blast the whole place. That would have been fun to watch. however, he set his mind to the idea tat he's on vacation. Now when he goes back he'll go back to killing enemies an sleeping as well as any soldier at night."

"He's a weird Yeerk. He doesn't take anything perosnally. He never got sucked into the propaganda about hating Andalites, but he doesn't feel bad about killing them either. It's all more like  job than anything else. Wake up, go to work, hit the sack, and reapeat."

Sukohn's host trembled a bit, and his eyes went vacant. After a few seconds he undid the clasps, unhooked himself, and closed the case. Sukohn was back.

"My my, hasn't my host been rather chatty?"

Back in the ship, Claxter watched his Prince. He took a few steps towards the girls in concern, but said nothing.

Elayne looked to Alic at her words, and her eyebrows slowly raised until they were hidden behind her bangs. "Oh," she said at the revelation, and then abruptly smirked. "Well then, I'm glad I told him to skedaddle when we were alone earlier." She stood and walked to sit by her. "I don't think we've met. I'm Elayne."

Alic nodded and tipped her glass. "I'm Alic." She was half tempted to throw the glass atthe crazed human-controller, but now he was free and as a human she had nothing to defend herself. Besides, before she could reach him she would be fried by his dracon.
Ignoring the urge to leave the bar because she was beginning to feel uncomfortable, she took a drink.
"Rum for you too, Elayne?"

Elayne gave a rueful smile as she eyed Alic's rum, then shook her head with a sigh. "I've had enough to drink for a few hours. Any more and I'll regret it. Can I get a Coke?" she called to the bartender, who wordlessly filled up a glass and slid the drink to her. She smirked. "Besides, when I drink, I get a little too chatty. And this isn't the place for me to continue spilling my life story and political convictions."

Sukohn was a little disappointed that Elayne didn't intend to get drunk. He wanted to go over to her and maybe get her to talk, or at least pretend to be her frien. However the Andalite was there and he didn't want to sit by her, even if she was morphed.

He was certain Elayne was Human, and if he could get her alone he could infest her. He just needed to come up with a plan.

((Welcome back, Marie! XD))

Myitt's eyes appear glazed when Ossanlin inspects them, but a few seconds after he asks if she's all right, her eyes open abruptly.

She blinks a few times and slowly sits up.  "Ugh," she murmurs, rubbing her ear, "I really hate doing that."  She stands up, wincing.  "Man, my foot's asleep."  She limps to Terenia's chair and unhooks her memory probe.

Turning to the holoscreen, she taps through the prompts to fully disengage the system.  "A power surge?  Jesus, this thing needs a full overhaul."  She manipulates the system in much the same way Ossanlin did, and it very nearly overloads.  The resulting power surge would easily have killed Terenia and Efaen.  The warning message vanishes and she returns to the normal disengagement procedure.

The wires snake safely out of Terenia's morphed human head and into the metallic tip.  Myitt takes it and inspects it, frowning.

"Ossanlin, did this happen with mine, as well?" she asks, distracted.  Then, she gently rests a hand on Terenia's shoulder.  "Wakey, wakey."

<Eggs and bakey?> Tara snorts a giggle.

Ossanlin backs up as Myitt emerges from her brief daze and disengeages Terenia's connection.  <Yes, actually.  I thought it was an anomaly, but if it happened twice, as it did, there must be a serious error with the system...>  Ossanlin watches as Myitt tries to wake Terenia and Efaen.

<I would never have expected that some of her motives regarding outside help were driven at least indirectly by compassion for the welfare of others.>  Ossanlin looks at the morphed Yeerk, the spitting image of the human from the memory dump.  <A dark history.  It appears that Tamara is simply mad at the world...traumatic childhood.  The fact is, Terenia cannot be held responsible for becoming an Andalite nothlit.  A young human incapable of making significant decisions being misled by a comparatively more advanced andalite, an an utterly irresponsible and unethical one at that...the only way we can truly remove Tamara is to force her to leave...abduct her from the abomination.  She must see these memories, and we must convince her that they are true.>

Ossanlin swishes his tail, lost deep in thought.  <The difficulty will be in taking her from the Blade Ship itself.  I have full confidence that either the Skimmer or Mirage could easily evade detection since they both have camouflage devices.  Perhaps Terenia could obtain the registration codes and a schedule for one of the Skimmers docked on Visser 3's Blade.  We could intercept their Skimmer on an outbound mission, and return in your Skimmer, or Corliss's rather with the correct timing and codes.  That would get the ship aboard...Terenia would have to come up with a way to get her sister, infested or not, into the Skimmer.>

Ossanlin ****s his head.  <If we manage to take the Yeerk as well, it presents an interesting opportunity to gather intelligence on the infestation of Earth as well.>

Ossanlin looks at Terenia again.  <Of course it would be much easier if we could intercept Tamara away from the Blade Ship, if her Yeerk ever leaves that is.  The Mirage or Skimmer could get through the Yeerk perimeter and land on the surface of Earth if necessary.  Of course we'd have to take Tamara before she could use her communicator.  Either way, there are possibilities.  It seems it isn't such a hopeless cause after all.  We will need Terenia's input to design an effective plan however...she's the one with access to information we require, even if it is limited...>

"Yes I try to avoid telling every detail of my life as well." Alic set her glass down and sighed. "God this place is starting to get to me. Really puts me through mood swings."

Terenia winces slightly as Myitt wakes her. She puts a hand to her temple, as though forcing back a headache. While Ossanlin speaks she is silent, rubbing the sides of her head and wiping the tears from her eyes.

"Tamara's Yeerk does leave the ship on occasion, although it is rare. When he leaves, it is under a heavy guard since he is so valuable," she shakes her head, "he would be more vulnerable, but not by much."

Slowly, Terenia pulls herself to her feet, wincing as though she has been sitting for a long time, though it hasn't been more than half an hour. She looks at the occupants of the ship nervously.

"You aren't the first to try and help me, you know. Jennor...my first host...she almost died because of me. I do not want more death on my hands, if I can help it."

She sighs, pressing her fingers against the bridge of her nose, "you only care because of Efaen. That makes me, and my sister, more expendable in your eyes. If we create a plan, it needs to be one that will not endanger her. I will not lose her too," her eyes fall on Myitt, "you do not need to be a part of this. You are not keeping me here against my will, and I have no qualms with you. I merely asked you to be present so that my side...the Yeerk and the human side...would get a fair say. I will not ask you to put your life on the line for me, though."

((Thanks, Tara! :D))

Elayne watched Alic a moment, but did not press her to talk--especially considering she seemed to want to stay as private as she, herself, did. Not that she had exactly done as she had intended. She cringed to think about all she had spilled to Mar and Thordon. Then she sighed and shook her head. Not a heck of a lot I can do about that now.

She was distracted from her thoughts by the prickling sensation of the hair on the back of her neck standing on end. Glancing over her shoulder to see Sukohn, she suddenly had the feeling that he had been just watching or listening to her. "He wigs me out," she muttered to Alic, turning her back on him so he could not read her lips.

"Me too." Alic muttered in response, pouring yet another drink. "Not a bg fan of the yeerks to begin with. But as unstable as they both seem to be.. It's going to end up being trouble." Alic was now wondering if she should have destroyed them both while he was locked up. She had a feelign it may come down to that anyway.
