"Welcome to the club," Myitt replies flatly to Terenia.

<You have no idea what you are talking about,> Terenia says to Sukohn coldly, her tail twitching ever so slightly.

<This is getting out of hand,> Terenia says silently, so that only Efaen can hear.

<You only have yourself to blame,> Efaen comments.

(Uh, that was Sukohn talking. I don't think he's aware that Terenia isn't a Yeerk. and Claxter is outside feeding.)

(well I do use "" and <> consistently. Sorry if I'm being confusing. I think I've been neglecting saying X said when I only have one character talking that uses regular speech, and another that used thought speech. I'll try to be more obvious.)

Ossanlin nods at Thordon.  <Just out feeding for a bit, enjoying the view outside.>  He smiles a bit at the multi-armed being.

Ossanlin fixes Terenia with a none-to-friendly gaze.  <Your host made her decision under duress, she was given no other option, she was afraid the patrons of this establishment would be hurt or killed by your beloved Visser's soldiers if she didn't do something rash.>

Ossanlin looks to Myitt.  <No Myitt.  Corliss was only acting on his perception of the situation, however incorrect we may feel his perception was.  I do not trust him as much as I did before, but you are a dear friend and I do trust your council, and I enjoy your company.  The fact is, Terenia has not yet said how she plans on having her sister 'transferred'.  In fact, she hasn't even said what she'd really been doing for the past five standard years!  She gives us no information and until she does, my only choice is to believe that she has no information regarding her efforts because she has not made any efforts to speak of.>

Ossanlin darts a look at Terenia before continuing.  <If Efaen does indeed wish to help her, then it is not my place to intervene.  However, it is quite obvious that whatever the situation, even if Efaen does wish to help Terenia, she does not wish to remain her slave for the rest of her life.  Before I can even begin to consider allowing Efaen and Terenia to leave and return to Terenia's glorious leader, I must have a detailed plan from Terenia regarding her efforts to free her sister from Visser 3's grasp.  It must also be designed to be accomplished in a timely manner.  Thirdly, I must have an intraveinous tracker in Efaen before I can allow Terenia to leave.  The tracker is a nano-machine that migrates through the blood stream.  It's almost impossible to pick up on any scanning device, and replicates itself a few times so that there is always a backup in the bloodstream in case one is filtered out or damaged.>

Ossanlin's tail swishes in an agitated manner as he looks at the Imperial, shaking his head at the comment about an Andalite host, not sure if he's being sarcastic or not...or if he's just plain insane.  He chooses not to address the controller with more than a glance.  He looks back at Myitt.

<Now that there is a possibility of Efaen being voluntary, which is still in doubt due to the circumstances, I'm willing to speak about this.  Of course, if Terenia cannot give me an agenda, a functioning plan that will not take another five years, I will use all resources at my disposal to keep her here.  By all means if you can connect with her in some way, I will appreciate the help.  I cannot seem to penetrate her prejudice, hatred, and possible delusions.>

All of Ossanlin's thoughts are spoken in public thought-speech, though in context are addressed to Myitt.  His intention, of course, is that Terenia hears every single word.

Terenia's scowl deepens as she listens to Ossanlin, her fingers tightening around the empty beer mug. She takes a deep breath, preparing herself to speak as calmly as possible.

<Terenia, please do not say anything rash,> Efaen councils, <he is not being light. He will use everything he has to keep you here.>

<Including destroying us if necessary. Both of us,> Terenia notes.

<Yes,>

<You would want that? You would take that option over my continued...company?> Terenia asks. Efaen does not answer, but Terenia can see how she feels. <Ah, I see. You aren't much more courageous than your beloved Claxter, are you?>

Terenia exhales the breath slowly, turning only a stalk eye to address Ossanlin, not trusting her expression not to incite things further. <I apologize if I am opposed to having one more person babysitting me. I already have Visser Three tracking me, now I have to worry about the Andalite forces as well? I will discuss a plan with you, if you wish. However foolhardy they may be, perhaps you have some ideas I do not. But I will not allow you to put anything in Efaen's bloodstream. You already drugged her on me. It's almost as if you respect her body less than I do,> Terenia pauses, noticing that her thoughts are becoming angrier, and calms down slightly, <I do not see the need for a tracker. What would you do if I am with Visser Three? Send your entire armada to save one Andalite girl? Against all of his forces?>

Keshin rolls his eyes at the group discussing Terenia's possible options. "Look, it's pretty obvious to me that you guys will never come to any sort of agreement. I personally think that the whole thing is bat**** insane and you're better off wasting your precious Andalite resources on something else. But then again, I'm a Yeerk. Something like this debacle just couldn't even happen in the place where I came from."

Keshin gives Myitt a rather pointed look. "And you wonder why I don't join any sort of rebellion, given our less than perfect circumstances. It's because I'd either have to deal with your issues, or Captain Righteous over there. Great options for my future."

Keshin then wanders back to Balthazar, rubbing the back of his head. "Sorry for getting distracted. So you guys have been space-capable for a long time? It hasn't been all that long with us at all. We basically stole the technology, and then made it our own."

Mar glances over Terenia, listening to the conversation between her and Ossanlin. There's no way a girl that paranoid will allow Ossanlin to install a tracking device. At least, not willingly. But then again, she does want to get out of there very, very badly. He seems almost personally affronted by what's happening. .......I wonder if this has anything to do with what I briefly saw inside his mind...

Mar shakes his head at Terenia. "If I were Ossanlin, I would not take a creature like Visser Three head on in a space battle. It would mean informing the authority on his world directly of what is going on in this Bar. And I think from the little I have gathered that some of Ossanlin's own actions would irritate them immensely. Not to mention that if a Visser is anything like what Ossanlin is, a General..." Mar says the word "General" with a weird pronounciation and emphasis, as if he's referring to something other than the rank on Earth. "...then it would be difficult to defeat him in battle without many losses. It would not be worth it. I think he just wants a plan and proof you are following it."

Mar pauses and then continues. "...my personal opinion is that you are not worth any of the effort he has put into this. But if he believes saving one of his own is worth this much of his time, then..." Mar closes his eyes, thinking, and then opens them again. "...then I may be able to assist in preventing you from leaving. Though frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."

<Aww, the Andalite didn't take you up on your offer to leave me stranded and alone.> Sukohn's host said.

<I didn't expect him to bite anyway. It was kind of a joke.>

<Can I say something?>

<No. You are not allowed to speak while I am inside you.>

<You need to leave anyway, don't you?>

<Yeah, but I don't want to leave the table. This is good drama. I guess I could chain you up in here. You could listen, and I'll get the details later.>

Sukohn waited a bit while not drinking so he could sober up a bit, then left the room. a few minutes later he came back with some restraints and a kandrona machine. He set it up besides a support beam so he could wrap the restraints around it. With his host's head secured to the machine, and turned so he could see the crowd, Sukohn hooked the cuffs on him. His host could undo the cuffs himself, but the effort wouldn't go unnoticed. Sukohn slipped into the sludge, and his host went a bit limp.

"Good, Ossanlin.  I'm very glad there are no hard feelings, as the human expression goes.  My brother only acted out of a perverse sense of good will, and I for one would still trust him with my life, and Tara's."  Myitt shrugs.  "I can't force Terenia and Efaen to adhere to your terms, Ossanlin, but I can tell you that I think I am beginning to see what motivates these two to continue to navigate through an extremely difficult situation.  Delusions, yes, certainly; but also stubbornness.  Terenia refuses to accept that her sister has thrown in her allegiance to the Yeerk Empire, and that even if she does free Tamora..."  She glances briefly at Terenia.  "...It's very likely that Tamora will not want to be freed, and is herself the product of delusion.  Brainwashing.  A sort of madness.  I don't think either of these creatures are truly motivated by hate or prejudice, but I am really curious to know just how they intend to accomplish the very real and difficult task of reformatting a human mind.  Not to mention escaping the very forces of Visser Three Terenia has warned you against.  I don't know the Visser well, thank goodness, but I hear he doesn't take kindly to those who go against his will."

She listens to Keshin bash the rebellion with a calm sort of sneer.  He walks away soon enough, anyway.

<Just ignore him, man.>

<You don't have to tell me twice,> Myitt sighs.

((Hmm.  Forgot to do this.

If you haven't guessed by my 20 pages of absence, I am out of the RP!  I have nothing against the GESB--just hard to shove myself in when it's so far progressed and when I have school and am juggling other RPs.  Just too hectic.

So...say bye-bye to Gelia.  I had fun--but just too much craziness..))
