Ossanlin smiles at Alic and then looks back to Mar with his main eyes.  <This is probably not something you have a lot of experience with Mar.  Efaen is not voluntary.  She did reinfest herself, she'd rather put herself in danger than the rest of us, but I cannot allow Terenia to take Efaen back against her will.  If this is what Efaen wants, then we can allow Terenia to attempt to relocate her sister.  But I must have an intraveinous tracker in Efaen as well as a time-frame and a solid plan from Terenia before I can allow her to do this.>

Ossanlin sighs.  <If the Electorate found out that I was even considering allowing another Andalite controller to exist and return to Imperial control no less, my tail would be on the block immediately.  Another Yeerk with a morph-capable host is unacceptable to the Electorate, and the fact that she's underneath Visser 3's proverbial thumb makes it unacceptable to me, and all to save a voluntary human host...this has very little logic.  Someone must speak for Efaen.  As long as Terenia remains stubborn and unhelpful, I will  not allow her to leave.  It's that simple.>

Ossanlin smiles at Alic once more and starts trotting back in the direction of the GESB, enjoying the view.

Claxter's stalkeyes were looking out of the open bar door when he saw Prince Ossanlin leave the woods in the distance. He was happy to see his prince at last, and excused himself to go outside.

<Welcome back Prince Ossanlin. I have quite a bit to report. First, Terenia spoke with visser Three and he allowed her to stay here to gather information. She bought herself at least three days, if not a little more. Second, two Imperial Human controllers came separately to the bar. The first ran off into the woods in the direction you came from when he heard there was a prince in the area. The second came inside through the back and has been drinking and talking about being on some sort of vacation because he got listed as KIA. I don't know if he's telling the truth, but he's a bit brazen.>

<Lastly, Zoshonel and the Hork-Bajir controller left earlier, as well as some other patrons. The pirates, Parker, the unknown alien that was even taller than the Hork-Bajir, and maybe someone else I forgot. I think that's everything.>

Ossanlin chuckles as he continues to cross the distance between himself and the bar with Alic at his side and Mar trailing behind.  He sees Claxter in the distance and listens to his report.  He sends a message back.  <Thank you Warrior, I haven't heard or seen anyone I didn't know run by me.  You say there is currently an Imperial in the bar?>  Ossanlin sighs again.  <That could cause sparks.  I know the pirates were planning some sort of operation in their own Universe, I wish them well.  I hope Zoshonel has a good trip as well.  I suppose Terenia is as abrasive as ever.  I suppose the important thing is that she has extended her stay and we won't be seeing any more Visser 3 loyalists here soon.>

<She is as she has always been.> Claxter said with irritation in his voice. He hoped that since Prince Ossanlin was back, he might leave her company for a bit. He felt like he needed a minute away from her to help center himself again. <Oh, and the Imperial said he works for Visser Two, if that helps say anything about him.>

<You think I'm nuts?> Terenia asks Myitt incredulously, <aren't you involved in the rebellion? You think I'm nuts when you're living underground fighting against an entire empire? I think we may have a slightly different idea of what makes a person crazy.>

Despite herself she smiles in amusement. The company she has found herself in is...odd...to say the least. She dislikes being trapped against her will, but at least the other bar patrons are relatively amiable, and create some form of amusement during her imprisonment. She watches Claxter leave, knowing very well that she has ruffled his feathers.

<Oh, dear, I think I may have hurt his feelings,> Terenia says in mock surprise to Efaen alone.

<Do you feel any compassion?> Efaen asks. She longs to run after Claxter, if for no other reason than to spend more time in his presence, but of course she cannot.

<I feel compassion,> Terenia says, <just not for the dregs of the Andalite military who think that the best way to get through life is by 'yes siring' their way to the top.>

<No, instead you find it beneficial to be contrary to every single living thing in existence,> Efaen sneers, <how is that helpful?>

<It isn't,> Terenia admits, <but it is more fun.>

Myitt snurks laughter again.  "Hahaha, ah, like the cat said, 'we're all mad here'," she says, wiping her eyes.  "It's a product of rebellious tendencies, exile, alcohol...and these killer 37 hour days."  She adds quite suddenly, "Jesus, when was the last time you let me sleep?"  Her eyes track blankly.

<About an hour ago, remember?> Myitt replies demurely.

<No, I don't, and that's sort of scary,> Tara mutters.

Mar smirks a bit, following Ossanlin towards the Bar. "...ah. So this is about politics nearly as much as it is about your own morality. This government of yours may be a little bit intolerant if it cannot accept the odd "casualty" of war, then. My general policy is to speak for the populace as a whole and not for the individual person. I suspect this has more to do with cultural issues in your world and mine than anything. The acceptability of slavery in the place from which I come is much more vaguely defined. And trust me...you are unlikely to get a coherent response out of either Efaen or Terenia. They seem...scarred from their experiences, from what I saw of them."

Mar nods at Claxter briefly, as if acknowledging that he exists, and then turns back to Ossanlin. "I...will attempt to help you, if this is truly your course of action. You are a friend. But so far...all I know is what Terenia may be frightened of. Even that is guesswork, and it does not really help you. Although as far as I can see, only fear appears to motivate the wretch."

Myitt shakes out of her funk and glares briefly down the line of the bar counter at Joanne.

"That one, they're just crazy, the two of them," she says lowly.  "Most of all that human girl.  I don't get it."

<What's their deal?> Terenia asks, following her gaze, <That ones the bounty hunter, right? I think she was trying to scare me earlier. Didn't do too great of a job.>

"Yes, well," Myitt murmurs, "she has a few interesting tricks up her sleeve.  She and I have...sort of a history."  She smirks.  "Lucky me.  Not to mention she tried to kill my brother in this very bar.  Yeah, we're real close pals."

Keshin turns his head slightly and smirks, overhearing bits and pieces of their conversation. He then turns to Balthazar and states, "Hold on. I got to clear something up."

Keshin then walks over to Myitt, adopting his typical bored, lazy stance that he gets around her. "It's nice to know that my good old pal Myitt is talking about me behind my back. Really enhances relations between us. Yeah, we have a couple tricks. But none of them really make us feel any better."

Myitt turns slowly and gazes at Keshin.  A grin spreads across her face.  "Would you expect any less from me, old buddy?"  She pats Keshin a few times on the back.

Keshin rolls his eyes. "Definitely not. And by the way, never pat me like that ever again. It'll make me get a heart attack faster. Then again, that might be the point. Incidentally, trying to kill your brother really wasn't anything personal." Keshin shrugs. "I mean, even you know each one of you guys has a bounty on their head the size of Texas. But I can understand why that would bother you just a little bit..."

"...I still haven't even treated the shoulder wound much," mutters Keshin rubbing the shoulder hit with Corliss' Dracon. "Lucky me."

"Nah, I wouldn't dream of putting you out of your misery," Myitt says genially.  "Yeah, I don't really hold a grudge against you.  I know it's just your job.  You just give me the...what is it?  The willies..  The crawling horrors.  You're very good at what you do, and I respect that."  She grins again, then looks over at Keshin's shoulder with some sympathy.  "You never got that treated?"

Keshin shakes his head. "Nah...I didn't. It actually hurts like hell. But we've gotten pretty used to that kind of thing. Comes with the territory. As for you me freaking you out..."

Keshin shakes his head in surprise. "That's...interesting. I thought you were the unflappable sarcastic one. We're dangerous yes...but not really what you'd call scary. Unless you get scared of things you don't understand. And nothing in this Bar makes sense."
