<I am not loyal to Visser Three,> Terenia snarls, her eyes flashing dangerously, <he is a murderer and an abomination. He is trying to destroy my people. Under any other circumstances I would be resisting him with every cell in my body.>

Terenia takes a moment to calm herself down, breathing deeply and relaxing her hands, which she had not even noticed had balled up into fists. When she speaks again her thoughts are still angry, but somewhat calmer.

<I do not understand why you seem to think my situation is any of your business, or why it is your duty to help me. The bottom line is that the only way to solve this is to convince my sister that the Empire is not where she belongs, and I doubt a tirade of Andalites is going to do that. She needs me, and only me. If you want proof that I am not loyal to the Empire, fine. Give me a secure communication route and once I return to the Blade Ship I'll give you whatever useful information I get. Intelligence is of no use to me and who knows, maybe I'll be able to find a fight you actually can win.>

She ignores Claxter's response, although in her head Efaen is sulking over his words.

<Tell him to leave me alone,> she begs, <he almost lost a tail because of me. We both know that Visser Three is not a merciful creature. If he attempts to help us, he will die.>

<Trust me, Efaen, if there were something I could say to make your loverboy leave us alone, along with that captain of his, I would.> Terenia responds to Efaen dryly, <These Andalites are more stubborn and arrogant than I remember - no wonder I left them. Suicidal morons.>

(Yeah I was wondering about that. I'm like "Myitt hasn't had Corliss say anything recently. Who does she mean Corliss?")

Claxter got the feeling that Efaen wanted to distance herself from him, so he just let it go. He would let his Prince handle it. He began looking around for something else to occupy himself with until Corliss brought the ship down for them to get out.

((I was gonna say! XD))

"Corliss, I'm going to land the Bug and get back to the bar," Myitt says via comm link.  "We're going to need to keep scanning for the Visser's little pawns, so I'll keep my ship running on minimum power."

She nods over at Elayne and Mar.  "Hang on tight, you two.  There's no sense in us hovering around, especially when there's work to do."  She sighs, turning back to the holoscreens and slowly piloting the ship back to her parking space.  In a few moments it settles on the ground with a lurch and a diminishing whirr, and Myitt unbuckles the ropey living metal restraints.

She stands up and stretches, leaning over to turn off the music, which stops in the middle of 'Enjoy the Silence' by Depeche Mode.

"Let's go, kids.  Computer, exterior hatch."  The left side wall melts open into its rectangular hatchway shape, and Myitt hops out onto the gravel, making her way to the bar.

---

Corliss turns to the pool room doorway in the awkward silence.  "What's going on back there?" he calls.  Everyone seems to have abandoned him in the cabin, and left for the pool area.  "We've got to get this ship back on the ground, you know."  He sounds concerned.

<You may land whenever you are ready, Corliss. Or would you like assistance?> Claxter said as he reentered the room where Corliss was. He looked at the controls, then realised something. <Not that I have any particular training with Yeerk craft. Actually, this control scheme is a bit interesting.> He became curious, and began closely examining the control board near Corliss. He found an interesting looking button and decided to press it to see what it would do.

((Nothing big's happened inside the bar. since you've arrived.

Morgan is an artificial Minotaur, created by his Central Government (CG). After he was created, he broke out, and the project he was a subject for was shut down. Gaz and Morgan just got word that the CG is starting the project back. Parker, Temrash, Cutter, and Artemis/Silver have volunteered to help stop them.

Thordon is staying out of it since he doesn't know what they're volunteering for.))

Thordon asks of the new Yeerk, "What is your host called?"

"It's Thege 701. For a species that supposedly came from the other side of the Galaxy, even I'm surprised at how similar space pirate naming patterns are to ours."

"Hmm, another numbered name. Is his world's population so full that names must be numbered?"

"Yeah, I actually find it pretty funny. For some reason, it seems to appear in about half the species I have seen."

"Non-numbered names are so last year, Thordon." Temrash said. "Personally, you look like a 211 to me. You could be Thordon 211. Seriously, though, I thought Yeerks were the only ones who used numbers until I came here. The numbers designate which one we are in a certain pool. Since my number is 946, it means I was the 946th Yeerk born in my pool."

Elayne unclasped the metal straps holding her in her seat and stood, passing Mar on her way off the ship. She followed Myitt towards the bar, kicking the gravel a little and watching it spray out in a small fan ahead of her. She stopped to grab the mug she had left on the sill what seemed like hours ago but had probably only been thirty minutes. "Well that was fun," she smirked. "Now to look for something else to distract me before hunting for a shovel."

Parker overheard the conversation about numbered names, but felt no need to justify his number.

Thordon turned to Temrash, "So what's the significance of your name?"

"No," Thordon shook his head, "Your name, not your number."
