Elayne smiled to Myitt. "Just teasing. Yeah, I know it wouldn't work out. Anyway, I'm sure it was just a lucky shot; I should just stick to being a mechanic." She turned in her seat to look at Mar. "So, why did you not strap in sooner? You looking to sport a shiner so soon after entering that body?" She straightened from her slumped posture, pleasantly surprised she was not shaking from the brief fight. After all, it had been a long time since she had shot anyone, and she had never used the weapons system of a ship before at all.

[Terenia]

<I think it would be best if I contacted Visser Three from my ship,> Terenia says, <I don't know how I will explain away a fried Bug Fighter and two dead Yeerks, but at least he can see that Efaen isn't roaming around free, spreading his secrets.>

She glances at the still closed door leading to the bridge and wonders if they are heading back to the bar or not.

<I suppose if you believe it would be better for Visser Three to let you know you are alive, than for him to believe that you have died, then we can run it past Prince Ossanlin.> Claxter said, and opened the door to talk to him. He told Oss what had happened and what Terenia planned to do.

[Terenia]

Terenia glares at Claxter, not too pleased with the fact that he is addressing the problem to Ossanlin.

<<He is not my prince, you know,>> she says privately to Claxter, <<I do not need to listen to him.>>

She moves back into the main area, staying back a bit to avoid over-crowding. Crossing her arms in a very human way she surveys the other occupants of the ship.

<<It isn't like either one of us could do anything about it if he objects, and we can't hide it from him. I think at this point we're all in over our heads and need to stick together.>>

[Luke Skywalker (Ossanlin)]

Ossanlin listens briefly and ****s his head.  Efaen must have done it voluntarily...it solved one problem.  <Well, if Efaen is a voluntary host, even if just temporarily, I suppose that changes a few things.  However, you are still not leaving this bar without our help.  That was part of the bargain too.>

Ossanlin thinks for a moment as he regards Claxter and Terenia both, allowing his hands to disengage from the shipboard weapons interface.  An inane thought of reverting to his original blue hue somehow intrudes upon his thoughts and he bats it away.  It would only serve to draw attention to his current state in a time of confusion.  <Visser three is mentally unstable, and so are you, Terenia.  To use a human addage, I suppose it takes one to know one yes?  If you think contacting Visser three will serve any purpose whatsoever, then I won't scramble your communications.  However you are still not leaving without a plan that involves us.  It would be better if we didn't have to dispose of the next controllers sent to retrieve you, but if we still do not have anything worked out, they will not take you.  How patient is Visser three I wonder?  How long can you delay him before you risk everything by not allowing us to help?  That's something I'll leave up to you to decide I suppose.  But know that I will do anything to keep you and Efaen from Visser three.>

<I don't particularly remember making any sort of deal with you,> Terenia says, her main eyes narrowing, <Or is this another case of an Andalite shoving his ideals on others? Why put yourself and others in danger unnecessarily? That seems foolhardy. I will speak to Visser Three. He will grant me more time here, he will not send anyone after me, and you can go on with your life. I appreciate your not squashing me, but my problems aren't there for you to fix. I do not want your help, and neither does Efaen.>

((I don't think Joanne and Keshin would have made it onboard Myitt's ship before they left the Bar, as amusing as it'd be to have Joanne take weapons on Myitt's Bug fighter. They weren't going at full speed, and there was no scene of them entering. Sorry I've been gone, guys. Sleepovers and sleep-deprivation mobbed me. ))

Joanne runs out into the area, breathing heavily, only to find out that the "boat" appears to have left without the. "Oh come on, Kess!" Joanne says with irritation, kicking at the dirt. "The whole scene's ahead of us again!"

<Significantly better than getting into a Bug fighter with Myitt. Trust me. Let's head back to the Bar. This kind of absurdity usually clears up within an hour.>

Joanne sulks and irritably walks out of the woods in the direction of the building.

Mar shakes about as the chaos onboard the Skimmer occurs, barely having time to catch his balance on his seat. He then glances at Elayne with surprise and states, “Terribly sorry, milady.  I was not aware that we would be entering combat so quickly. I am fine, though.  As for my species…I am closer to the wraith in physical state.”

<Does anyone else feel like we're going in circles here? Terenia and Efaen don't want our help, even though we can see they're both in danger. Terenia just wants to keep doing what she's doing, even though it's taking several years just to do it. Efaen thinks the military is so sexist that she has a better shot at beating the Yeerks as a controller than being part of the Andalite military. Nothing either side says seems to get through, but since we are the ones with the power, it will lead to it being done our way. Which leads me to wonder if Might makes Right.>

[Terenia]

Terenia looks as though she is about to speak, stops herself and flushes slightly. She heaves a sigh, obviously having some sort of internal conversation with Efaen, before finally addressing Claxter.

<Efaen says that she did not make this choice to defeat the Yeerks, there is more to it than that,> Terenia rolls her eyes, <She does not want me to tell you her true intentions, but I think it is worth mentioning. She figures that by remaining my host she will be in a safer position and you will no longer feel the need to watch over her. She will not be putting you in danger. She thinks that she owes you her temporary freedom, and is repaying you by keeping you out of harms way. Basically, she is trying to protect you.>

<You allowed Terenia back into your head so I wouldn't endanger myself again to protect you?> Claxter said to Efaen, knowing she could hear him even if she couldn't reply directly without Terenia's permission. For a second he looked like he might go back into his self-loathing depression over his cowardice, but he restrained himself. <I appreciate the sentiment, but it is not like I would just leave you in he hands of terenia and Visser Three. I need this, Efaen. I need something to hold on to in order to make me strong. Something to motivate me to do better. I like you, and I want to help you. If I'm going to have anyone to help me become strong, I want it to be you.>

Claxter resisted the urge to walk closer to Efaen and do something tender, as Terenia would likely just push him away. Besides, it was kind of crowded and he wasn't as comfortble showing affection now than when they were alone.

[Luke Skywalker (Ossanlin)]

Ossanlin raises an eyebrow and regards Terenia.  <Funny, it seems like you still think that you have a choice in this matter.  You still think you can leave without us involved.  I didn't know your delusions ran through so quickly Terenia.  Perhaps I shouldn't wait to inject Efaen with an intraveinous z-space tracker.  I don't know that I'll ever trust you with a morph-capable host.  It seems you're quite confused about your own allegience, but for the most part you are loyal to an insane sociopath that is bent on Imperial domination.  You'll have our help whether you want it or not.>

Silver walked up to the bar, to make sure that all the weapons she had were in proper order. She was old fashioned with her weapons. She had a cross bow, throwing knives, a katana blade at her back under her cloak beside her arrows for her cross bow. She hadn't lost a battle with them yet. She made sure they were sharp, accurate, and precise.
