((No problem, sorry to hear about your loss :/ and feel free to join us again if you have the time!))

Corliss steps into the bar, sleeves rolled up and arms covered to the elbows in some sort of dried black grease.

"Yeah?" he says, walking over to Myitt.

She looks her brother up and down.  "Is that stupid ship on its feet yet?"

"Almost.  The z-drive is functioning, so I can get back to the base," he says.  "I contacted Reven, too.  The base is starting to get on its feet.  What's doing?"

"I'm going to Earth, tell Reven I'm going to pick up some groceries and try not to die," says Myitt brightly.

"Alright, just be careful.  And pick up some Cocoa Puffs."

"Right, right," says Myitt, shaking her head.  "You be careful, too."

"I'm knackered, reckon I'll take a break and grab something to eat," says Corliss, sitting at the bar.

"Try the Velociraptor burgers, they're pretty good," says Myitt.  She glances around at her friends.  "Anyone who wants to come in my Bug fighter, you're welcome to.  I can fit two other people right now."

With that, she stepped outside and made her way to her fighter, powering up the engines.  She opened a wide band communications array, linking to the ships of her friends nearby.  "This is Myitt, reply when you get this so I know you can hear me."

Corliss sits at the bar.  "Erm, Velociraptor burger, please?"

(I have a question before I bring my Andalite in. does Corliss have a dracon beam on him, or something else that would flag him as a Yeerk?)

Once Zoshonel was steady on his feet he walked towards the bar. He gave Myitt a friendly wave when he passed her. He made a slight detour to get a spare gauntlet out of his ship, then entered the bar to find a nice spot in the rafters. He ordered something to eat and drink, and quietly began with his meal.

Temrash got a message on his ship's computer. "I can hear you Myitt. I think Z-Space has recently shifted in our favor, and we'll be able to ride to most of the way to the Human's solar system. I'll keep in touch if anything happens."

(I'll let someone else start the new thread.)

Breekan nods. "I'll ride with you, Myitt." He hops up and follows after. "I've been in one of these before- do they all only have the one chair? I can wedge myself in a corner if we need."

((i'll have John tag along with Myitt))

"Hey, Myitt! I'm comin' too." With that, John said goodbye to the patrons of that bar, and as he got out, he noticed that his plane had been disassembled and the engine had been stripped down.

Rushing up to the ****pit, he reached in and he pulled out his spare uniform top, and his Thompson M1A1. He hoped that he woldn't have to use it, but he couldn't be too careful.

Catching up with her, he noticed that her ship looked like a giant bug. Saying to her "That yours?"

((Right then. Time to change out some characters. Of doom! : ) But with everybody leaving for the side thread I'm a little scared of what'll happen to the Bar. Make sure we've got enough people to get things moving. ;3 ))

Mar glances around at the group leaving the Bar and nods a bit, slowly getting up from his seat. "I suppose it is time I got on my way, no?" He grins a bit and then sends a message to Ossanlin. <<I do hope we meet again. And hopefully in the same circumstances. I wonder if I'd recognize you in another fashion...and whether I would care. We may yet find out.>>

"Sure, Breek, come along.  Do you really think I'd invite a couple people if I didn't have chairs?" She grins.  Once she's inside the ship, she helps John aboard.  "Yes, this is my ship.  The English name for this kind of ship equates to something like a 'Bug fighter'.  I guess you can see why."  The interior is pale off-white with scuffed-up metal tiling and walls, but overall, pretty clean for a beat-up old thing.  Quite a contrast from the black-and-red, spiky insectoid exterior.  There are two hydraulic sliding doors at the back--one leads to a small storage room and a galley so small that you would hit both walls if you turned around.  The second door leads to the engines, the tiny retrofitted bathroom, and a small room with a couple of old cots on the floor.

Behind the main array of controls, most of them manual, a giant metal chair with a hole at the lower back has been firmly bolted down into the floor.  In front of the controls, the two eyelike main plexi windows cast a faint reddish glow over the whitish control array.  Myitt takes a seat at the main controls, bringing up a large floating pale blue holoscreen and sliding icons around through the air.  The screen is translucent, partially blocking the view in between the two "eye" windows, but in a moment she slides an icon that causes the entire screen to turn transparent, actually providing a new, larger window directly through the hull of the ship and outside to the parking area.

To the left of the controls sits another seat; this one apparently came with the ship, or was much more neatly soldered on.  In front of it sits a pedestal with what looks very much like an elaborate joystick.  These are the main Dracon cannon controls.

Around the short distance from the control panel to the rear of the cabin, a few off-white metallic seats have been molded into the wall.  The seat parts fold down, much like those in an auditorium or movie theatre.  In between each seat is a small amount of space, and the seats are quite large, as if meant to fit something bigger than the average human.

"All aboard?" Myitt calls back, as restraints of liquidy, pale grey living metal snake out of the sides of her impromptu pilot seat and secure themselves around her body at the waist and more loosely at the chest.  She mutters to the computer to close the exterior hatch as soon as everyone is inside.

---

Corliss takes his Velociraptor burger and looks at it, front and back.  "Huh," he says, squinting.  "I'm not too sure about this."  He takes a bite and munches thoughtfully.  "Hmm.  Barkeep, reckon I could have some tomato sauce please?"

The bartender looks at him blankly for a moment, then pulls out a bottle of ketchup and sets it in front of him.

"Thanks, mate."

((Yes, let's not let the bar die.  I'll make a new thread and copy that top bit into it, just to start off, okie doke?  I'll name it GESB: Operation Cocoa Puffs.  And to answer your question Chad, no, Corliss doesn't have anything that would be directly visible that would indicate he's a Yeerk.  Only if someone pulled open his jacket and looked in his interior pockets :P  He's not wearing any kind of uniform now, since working on the ship he's changed into jeans and a normal black t-shirt.))

(Morgan and his crew might opt to stay behind at the bar since he's not human and the trip to Earth wouldn't work out for him.)

"You sure you gonna stay?" Gaz asked Morgan.

"Yeah," Morgan replied. "You're going to a place where I'd kinda stand out. Go have a good time, tell me about it when you get back."

Gaz nodded and went out to her ship. Fletcher was still out there and followed her after she explained what was going on.

She got on board and on the communicator she said, "So, when we going to get this party started?"

(I will now bring my Andalite in.)

A young Andalite warrior flies his fighter through real space in search of a secluded place to figure out what to do about his problem. What he had done was disgraceful, and he didn't know how to fix it. On his scanner showed a planet he hadn't heard of before, and as he was low on fuel he felt that could be just what he needed. He found what looked like a bar, with a few ships parked around it. He parked in a claring away from the bar, in amonst the trees, so his ship would be less noticable.

He left the ship armed with a shredder hooked to a belt, and scanned the area with his stalk eyes. He wasn't sure if the bar had any fuel, but with such a secluded location perhaps there was a fuel dock nearby. He cautiously entered the building and found the patrons to be a mixture of different species. Two of which were an attractive female Andalite and an older male who could have been a Prince. He was actually not happy to see a prince, as he wasn't sure how to explain his situation yet to anyone who may ask questions. As a warrior, he was not allowed to withold information to a higher ranking officer.

He walked to the bar to speak to the bartender. <Greetings. I was wondering if you had any fuel for an Andalite fighter.> He said, but the bartender said nothing. Instead he wrote on a piece of paper "Food or Drink?"

<Um, very well. I'll have some water please.> He paid the bartender, and the man gave him a container of not so clear water and a dish. He took them to a corner, and prepared the water to drink. He drank the water as he became engrossed in deep thoughts. His main eyes were half closed and his stalkeyes roamed lazily around the room.

Morgan remained in his seat at the bar. He would have liked to tag along with Gaz on the adventure, but they were going to a place where a minotaur would be more than a little conspicuous.

Corliss glanced back at the Andalite as he walked in.  The human-Controller shrugged, still chomping on the burger.  "Looks like you lot have got company," he says to Ossanlin and Alic.

Ossanlin smiles a bit over at Alic and send a thought to Mar.  <<I believe I shall miss you...I think you're a bit more human than you believe...or at least a bit more mortal.>>  Ossanlin chuckles to himself.  <<I do so wish you wouldn't dispose of your current incarnation...I daresay you could join Gaz for the trip...farwell my friend, I do hope to see you again.>>  Silently he wished Myitt and the others well.

Ossanlin hears the bar door swing open and a stalk-eye immediately turns to look at  the newcomer.  A young andalite male...interesting. ..there were not a great many Andalites who visited this place...none that were true Andalites that he could remember for quite some time, but not surprising he supposes...if he could find it, so could others.  The younger Andalite looked troubled...or perhaps uneasy.  Probably worried that he wasn't on a known starchart.  Or perhaps he was a rogue?  He turns his main eyes to glance at the younger male as he orders his meal, and turns a stalk-eye on Corliss.  <<Apparently so.  Maybe you should put on a sign that says "I'm a Yeerk..." That would be interesting.  Unless he's a rogue and a sympathizer...not terribly likely.>>  Ossanlin turns his head to smirk at Corliss.

Mar nods and wanders out of the Bar, looking up at the strange starry sky. I think I will miss looking at it like this. My perception of reality will change significantly. Mar then...drops dead. Quite literally. Staring down at the corpse is what appears to be a very vague version of himself with indeterminable gender.

Mar smacks its forehead. The entire affair went badly, in its opinion. Why did I behave like that? It must have been something about the body. Either way, there's one last thing I have to do before following the girl.

Mar then sends a peculiar message to Ossanlin. <<The remains are outside. Unless this type of thing is not unusual in this location, dispose of them. Although I am of the belief that it is not. Farewell, Andalite. >>

Mar then reappears near the Bug fighter, intent on following the ship.

*******************************************************************************
((Yaaay! I get to play someone else! :p ))

At approximately the same time as Mar's "death", a very shabby-looking Bug fighter lands near the Bar. It's either been through some sort of fight or it's just kind of always looked like that. That's probably due to the lack of concern of the owners most of the time. Exactly who owns this thing becomes more clear as the door opens up and the two owners walk out. Well, technically only one person exits.

The person in question appears to be wearing light body armor overlaying a rather typical jumpsuit. She has short brown hair and rather ordinary brown eyes, which doesn't exactly suggest her rather dangerous occupation. The two were in the Bar a couple weeks ago, but they found no clients and things were getting rather dull.

<Remind me again why we're coming back,> states the Yeerk of the two.

<Oh come off it, Kess. It'll be fun. It's probably gotten lively again in there.>

Keshin blinks, his boot stopping over a bizarrely dressed man. He laughs. "Whoah, a dead guy."

Keshin then walks past the corpse and into the Bar, smiling a bit. This might not be such a dead end for people in their line of work after all.

Alic was relieved when everyone had left. She was afraid if they had stayed any longer she would have changed her mind and gone. Besides, the bar was always interesting. Proving her point, an andalite looking to be around her age entered the bar.
<<Yes. I'm thinking more a neon blinking sign hanging above you with an arrow pointing down that says "yeerk". Brings more color to the place.>>

Alic smiled at Ossanlin, happy that they decided to remain at the bar. She was considering introducing herself to the new andalite. It wasn't in her nature to be so polite, but she rarely gets to meet one of her own kind.

Again someone new enters, and Alic wasn't surprised. The bar seemed to have a lot of people stumbling upon it lately. <<Jeez. As soon as everyone leaves we get a whole new crowd.

(Well someone could call him Corliss out loud and my guy will be like <ZOMG a Yeer filth name! I keelz yu!!)

Whatever happened when Claxter got back to his Prince, he'd be in a lot of trouble. The guy was brutal and made sure his subordinates knew he didn't like things going ways he wasn't planning for. He needed to think of a good explanation to hopefully avoid some pain. He could say that his navigational computer had malfunctioned and had gotten lost. Why in all the galaxy did he have to get assigned to such a viscious Prince?
