Myitt gives Mar her best faux sweet smile.  "Yes, Mar, it is quite tragic.  And as for the Andalite homeworld, it may not be the best place for a Yeerk, but I can think of far worse places to be."

"Is the Andalite home world cosmopolitan enough to have many humans, Myitt?" Breekan asks. "It seems like you'd stick out a bit. Or at least Tara would, but with you two being, er, is 'wedged' the right word?"

Ossanlin chuckles a bit at the comments.  <There are seas, yes, just like any other world there are climate zones and differences in biospheres.  Most Andalites enjoy living in the temperate plains zones.  And yes, Tara would stick out a bit, not to mention it would be very difficult to procure foodstuffs without revealing her true nature.  But being the son of two preeminant scientists as well as a respected War Prince means it wouldn't be that hard to get my hands on an Escafil device.  Tara could gain the ability to morph and I could bring her samples of various andalite DNA so that she could make an andalite morph.  That would be most interesting.>  Ossanlin chuckles knowing that Myitt is speaking in jest, though what he has said would not be that difficult to accomplish.

<Ahh but two grizzled war veterans like us can't afford to give up the Shredder...or Dracon in her case.  Not yet.  Much as Myitt will deny it to the bone, she respects her duty and responsibility, and won't give up on it.>  Ossanlin ****s an eyebrow at Myitt.  <She most likely will, however, complain at every possibly opportunity.>  Ossanlin's eyes almost glow again, but only because of the smile on his face.

((Ahh...so Tara, were you the one with the avatar named 'Naramir'?  'Cause if you were, then you were the one who pointed me in the direction of Quenya to come up with the name Celebrin.  XD))

((Yes I was Naramir, which I later modified to NĂ¡ramirĂ« because let's face it, accents and umlauts are fun! XD  It was supposed to mean "fire jewel" in Quenya, I had to look it up in the back of the Silmarillion XD there are some good resources online, too. ))

Tara bursts out laughing.  "Hahaha...Ozzy, the idea of me being an Andalite...I'm sorry, it's just too weird.  Kinda cool, but permanently?  Nah, just too weird, I like my human self.  Myitt on the other hand might not mind."  Her face takes on a sullen expression and she looks down at the bar counter.  "I would too mind."

<What, are you saying you'd rather be a Yeerk forever?>

<Maybe!  I've gotten quite used to it, alright?>

<Well, you could morph something else, like a human, and live on Earth after the war?>

<I doubt Andalites would ever give morphing power to a Yeerk.  I don't know.  I can't think that far ahead.>

<Well, I can.  I don't intend to go down in a blaze of glory.>

<I don't intend you to, either.>

<You're very confusing, you know that?>

<Yeah, I know...>

Quite suddenly, after a good thirty seconds of silence, Myitt looks up and says, "I won't give up fighting yet, of course, I can't really."  She grins a little.  "But I have every right to complain about it at every possible opportunity.  Ossanlin, I know this is all silly and hypothetical, but what would the Andalite Electorate fear more?  A Yeerk living in its natural form on their home soil, or giving a Yeerk the morphing ability so that it could become one of them, or something less..."  She struggles for the right word.

<Dangerous?  Disgusting?>

<No, no...>

"...less of a serious breach of security?  I know your average Andalite would never believe that a Yeerk says he doesn't want to take a willing host, but suppose for the sake of argument?  Humor me."

"There's nothing wrong with being a Yeerk. I wouldn't want to permanently become another creature. Then again, I've never had a host that hated me and begged for freedom. I've had jagill since the beginning, and he was cowed into submission before I got him. He's much happier now than he was when he was younger."

<Maybe you become like me. I teach you. You make good Hork-Bajir.>

<I'd rather focus on other things, really.>

"What happens to you guys if Myitt gets herself some new body?" Breekan asks. "Is that like, a break up? Do you tear up your pictures of each other?"

"Nah, Myitt would turn morph into a Human, and Tara would morph into a Yeerk. So the whole relationship dynamic switches." Temrash said, smiling like he thought it was funny.

((I hope you get off those things and feel better soon, Pattykins! :D And dude Young Han, Dave and I cracked up at that too XD))

"No," says Myitt, looking amused.

<No,> Tara says at the same time, then she laughs.

Myitt's grin broadens.  "You're a funny funny boy.  I think we'd still be on talking terms, if I had some other, nothlit body.  But I don't think the Andalites would ever let that one slide."  She glances at Temrash.  "You, too, you guys think you're comedians now?" she adds good naturedly.

Mar laughs. "The subject of forms always becomes very complicated with Yeerks, I suspect. And I can't really imagine Myitt ever wanting to be an Andalite permanently. Due to Ossanlin's kindness she no longer loathes them, but I suspect certain distant irritations are still present. That, and although you want to settle down..." Mar glances at Myitt. "...you have to admit that you'd be a little bored. Getting out of war is hard."

"As for me...I don't really know what form I prefer. Being human for so long has been terrible, but I admit there are a few good points. Emotions are very vivid, and some part of my mind I haven't used in a while seems to be active. Morality is big with them."

"I've met a few Andalites that I kind of like, and I believe they like me as well. That is, we can be alone in the same room and not fear an attack from the other."

"No, of course I wouldn't want to be an Andalite forever," Myitt says with a scowl.  "This is all purely hypothetical.  And you're absolutely right, getting out of war is going to be the hard part.  I don't think I'd mind a little boredom afterwards."  She pauses.  "You like being human, don't you?  In its own way, it's enjoyable for you."

Ossanlin ****s his head to the side.  <I don't recall ever mentioning permanence.  I meant she could morph to feed and if she wanted, socialize with others.  It would be a bit comical.  Of course, she'd have to morph back every two standard hours.>  Ossanlin chuckles again.  <You and I know, Myitt, that the Electorate would be far from comfortable with either of those situations.  If they could get over their loathing and hatred, I suppose an actual Yeerk morphing a different being would be suitable.  No need to split dominance...and it wouldn't be much of a security risk as long as the Yeerk becomes a nothlit.  The morphing power could not be used as a weapon in that case.  However, that would be very near to genocide though no death is concerned.  It would lead to the extinction of the Yeerk race.  That is not something I would advocate...unless DNA could somehow be preserved.>  Ossanlin shrugs a bit.
