Thordon answered Myitt first, "No, no space travel. Also, portals are very difficult. Before I became a wraith, the only way we could create portals, is if a large number of sorcerors from both worlds worked together to create it. The very first portal that joined our worlds was a random occurence. It stayed open long enough for our sorcerors to study it and learn to create our own.
"No, it's a large event, creating portals. Normally we only do it once every year, however this time I needed to create a portal to help those on the dark world. I hope they do well in my absence."
Thordon ponders on them before answering Temrash, "The portal I created was small compared to the portals we create for our trades between Anarion and Sijris. For our annual portal opening, the portal is very large. Large enough for convoys to travel between worlds. Once a year we trade items back and forth between worlds. Friends converse and vistit during the time the portal is open, we even have exchange students. Citizens stay and learn about our culture and our world for a year, as our citizens stay there for a year, then during the next portal, they change back. In some rare instances, they stay; but it's very rare.
"We have no official military on Anarion. We've never needed one. Our planet is very cooperative, we work to better ourselves and others. Every citizen has the power to tarse, affect our element. We are trained at a very early age to defend ourselves and our families. The only times we've needed to 'fight' was to keep wild animals out of our city limits; and when Sijris and Anarion were first joined. The first portal scared Sijris more than it did Anarion. They thought we were there to attack them, so they attacked first. Other than those few times, we've had no reason to have a military."
