Kara hesitates, not sure if she wants to get directly involved in the situation or not. It's risky, and they probably would not go along with it anyways. But still...

"I believe Ardiss had some personal contacts in that region of space," Kara says timidly, "Perhaps she could be of use somehow?"

“Humans? Don’t make me laugh!” Noticing his tail-blade swishing, he decided to let it go, just this once. “We are proud Helghans! We despise those ISA scum!” Motioning towards his men he said, “At ease, gentlemen. Lower your guns! That goes doubly for you, Wolffe.”

Hearing that he too was a commanding officer, Radec said, “Hmm… an officer eh? What rank?” as he picked up his ruined pistol, he placed it on the table and re-hooked his gas mask and helmet.

Alic took another moment to recognize the humanoid creatures called Helghans. <I apologize I didn't notice the difference, I should have. > She really was embarassed that after spending years with humans that she couldn't see that there was a distinct difference from Homo sapiens and this race that was new to her.
Almost bragging about Ossanlin, Alic replied <Ossanlin is an Andalite War-Prince.> It was proud but not over done. She blushed. <My name is Aliciania, you can call me Alic.>
Alic's attention turned towards Kara. <That could definately be of use, but can we trust her?> She was still doubtful of how much the yeerk could be trusted.

Temrash puts away his dracon beam. "Any help would be useful at this point. It took Seran this long just to get to the outpost, which means it will take us time to get there as well."

"I don't know if we can trust her," Kara admits, "but if she cooperates, it will add to her betrayal of the Empire. There will be no returning for her, even if she wants to. She won't profit from telling anyone about your hideout, if some stray memory escapes. It may make her safer for you."

"How can that vile excuse for a soldier possibly help us?" Myitt scowls.  "I'm more concerned that she'll use her first chance to coddle her way back into the Empire's favor."  She glances at Mar.  "I don't suppose asking for two deus ex machina's in one lifetime is too much to ask?" She smirks, looking at Corliss.

"Well, I wouldn't trust Ardiss as far as I could throw 'er.  And Mar, I believe Seran has a grudge against anyone crazy, like us.  He hates Myitt for some special reason."

"It's because I'm so likeable," says Myitt dryly.  "So.  We need a ship.  One will be faster than several."

"Skimmer's in need of repair," says Corliss.  "Bug's too small.  What do we do, then?  'Ey, what kind of ship does Ardiss have, Kara?"

"It's a Cruiser-class ship," Kara says, "equipped with two Dracon Cannons. It's fast and relatively small. Maneuverable. It doesn't have the best shielding, though. Ardiss took it because it was from a new shipment, so it hadn't been inventoried yet. The Empire probably doesn't even know it's missing yet."

"Do I hear someone say they need a ship?" Gaz inquired. "Can't beat The Vagabond as to speed."

"Pirates gotta be fast, you know," Fletcher added, "and well shielded."

"Never know what sort of mischief we might be getting into," Gaz said. "Now, I smell mischief and I want in."

"Great," said Fletcher, "she's got that pirate look on her face now. That...excited "I'm a pirate who wants to do what pirates do" type look. Trouble and all."

"We need a Yeerk ship, and a fast one," says Myitt tersely, looking up at Kara.  "Can you bring us to it?  We should take Ardiss with us, if only to keep her under close watch."  She looks around at her friends.  "Unless one of you would like to play babysitter." Myitt shrugs.

"My ship is built for speed, and has excellent shielding. It's designed for that. It's not really a Yeerk standard ship, though. It's not supposed to be recognized as one on first sight." Temrash said. "I could probably work on a cover story for it, though."

"Thank you, Temrash, but we need a Yeerk ship," Myitt says firmly.  "Even better that Ardiss' may not yet be registered as stolen."

"It is a risk," Corliss says, cautious.

"Yes, but we can use my ship's signal transponder to erase any doubt," says Myitt.  "You know I've been undercover before."

Corliss considers, nodding.

"Let's go, then.  We need to intercept Seran immediately, whether your operative has succeeded or not," Myitt tells Temrash.

"Yes. Seran needs to be killed, and whether my operative succeeds in his objective or not, this is something he just can't do. We can take Ardiss in her ship.  We'll keep a close eye on her for multiple reasons. How many of us can fit in her ship?"

Gaz shrugged and said to Fletcher, "I'll be out at The Vagabond making sure our supplies are ready for that run."

"I guess I'll stay here and keep an eye on the comp," said Fletcher.

"Sounds good," said Gaz, "I need to know if they change the itinerary at all."

"Got it," said Fletcher.

Gaz went out to The Vagabond and was checking the hold, guns and shields.

Kara nods, but she still seems worried. She bows her head, glancing back at where Ardiss' pool is kept, "Could....could someone else carry her? It isn't too far."

She seems hesitant, being thrust into a position of importance so suddenly, and she waits for the final arrangements to begin with a reddening face.

"Alright, then," she says quietly, "I guess we'll head out. The ship has room enough for about three to five people. It will be tight, but manageable."

Mar glances at Kara and the rest of the group awkwardly. "May I also come? I don't want to leave her alone, and I may be able to provide some assistance if the situation becomes drastic. It would not be a good idea, but it's a last resort. I know the ship is rather small, but we need a clear idea of how many people are coming."
