Parker saw Silver run outside, and Gaz rushed after her. He decided to follow them to the tree. He stopped in front of Sliver, crouched down, and lifted her chin with with his right hand and cleared her face of her hair with his left. He then unhooked his helmet and removed it. His eyes pierced into hers with empathetic determination, "It's going to be okay. Your mother's not going to go through what you and your father did. The pain will pass and Asda will be able to cure her."

Trey stops in front of his ship. It is as he left it; a beat-up shell that is listing to the right side so far that the still open hatch is hanging vertically in the air like some gaping cave. He stands beneath the monstrosity for a moment, playing with the bandages on his head and looking up at it's form sheepishly. How in the world do I get inside? he wonders.

---

Tamora withdraws her hand and returns to sipping her drink slowly. Her brows draw together ever so slightly when Elayne mentions a prior deal with Keshin. So, I was right, she thinks, wondering what sort of a job Elayne had commissioned for her, and what the payment might be.

---

Terenia finishes her drink and kicks it aside lightly. She looks around the bar, a growing sense of loneliness rising within her. While no one else in this place is particularly happy at the moment they all seem to have a companion of some sort. Someone, or a group of someones, to talk to implicitly. Such a strange concept, she muses, not quite realizing that she is staring at Myitt and Corliss' interactions.

<<Trust is not a strange concept,>> Efaen says, <<It is just one that you scorn. You know that trust ends in betrayal. At least, it does when you are involved. You destroy everything they have. That is why you are alone.>>

Thordon stands next to the boy under his ship and asks, "Now how did that happen?"

After The Director killed some time in his ship, he re-entered the bar. He noticed the commotion in the dark corner getting a little more agitated, The Earth-girl connected to Trey was now conversing with the boutny hunter and Terenia's sister. A new Andalite was speaking with the older Andalite from the ship that held Terenia's sister. Myitt had started drinking water, but still was drowning in self-guilt for some reason. A new four-armed patron was chatting up a female human with a strange combination of alcohols in front of her. He then saw Terenia brooding in her lonliness, watching everyone else in thier cliques. He walked up to the bar. Unfortunately, the only area open was between Myitt and Terenia, where the other four-armed being sat. He refrained from making eye contact with Terenia and ordered a pint.

Swordson seen the director walk in but paid him little attention. He had thought about trying to align himself with these andalites but he doubted that would happen they seemed to arrogant and proud to help others or take help. He seen that the director was drinking a pint so he ordered one for himself and slid off his stool and walked over to him where another four armed creature was standing. <<From that get up your wearing i would assume that you are someone important>>

((Quickest, I hope you don't mind my endless nitpicking. It's just...I'm an English teacher, it's what I do. You can tell me to shut up if you want to. :)

"Swordson seen the director" is incorrect English. The past tense of 'see' in this context is saw. If you want to use seen you would have to say had seen. So, either "Swordson had seen the director walk in, but paid him little attention." or "Swordson saw the director walk in, but paid him little attention."

If you want a detailed explanation about why it's grammatically correct you can PM me. Or, you know, tell me to shut up and get off my teacher soap box. :P ))

"Um..." Trey blushes slightly, "I'm not exactly a star pilot. My dad was unconscious and...well, I had never flown before, let alone landed." He shrugs, "At least I didn't blow the thing up. Although I doubt she'll ever fly again. It'll be enough of a feat to get her facing the right direction."

---

Terenia takes notice of The Director's return and decides that is her cue to order another drink. When the bartender brings The Director his pint she holds up a hand, indicating that she would like another fermented grass drink. She does not acknowledge The Director's presence.

((Quick, what "other four-armed creature" are you talking about? Asda, or Thordon? Cause Thordon's outside now. I was saying that The Director took the seat that Thordon had abandoned.))

Thordon scratched his head, "Yes, it's also amazing that you hadn't hit the building. Well, resetting your ship is easy enough. Although repairing it isn't exactly my field of expertise. I can energize any power source and move anything that has a magnetic field, or is attracted or repulsed by magnets. But mechanical repairs are a much more complicated matter."

The Director saw the new four-armed patron approach him. After he made his comment, The Director looked at his black jeans, shirt, and trenchcoat. He gained a confused look about his ace and asked, "How does a t-shirt and jeans denote importance? Even the trenchcoat, I thought, was commonplace. How did you come to the conclusion that I have any authority at all?"

Keshin grins wryly, glancing up at Elayne. Oh, he remembers the deal they made about the pilot. And it still stands. However...

"I was under the impression that you didn't want to leave right away, my dear," Keshin says with a shrug. "You seem to be really hitting it off with Napoleon over there. So I've taken my time until you mention otherwise. If you want me to begin, then I can start right now."

Elayne surprised herself by laughing at Keshin's name for Mar. It was somehow very fitting. Then she turns her eyes back on Tamora. "Don't cut a deal with this Yeerk," she says, still smiling. "It's the worst choice I've made since coming here."

To Keshin she says, "You're right. I'm comfortable here now that my timeline's been realigned, thanks to Myitt and Ossanlin the others. I want you to transfer the payment to Trey. You've seen him, yes? The young man with the bandage on his head."

((must have misread it sorry))

Swordson stared at the director and said, "It must be different here in this universe. In mine your trench coat would signify importance and power. My apologies."

Trey blanches slightly, glancing back at the bar, "Yeah, that would have been bad..." he says, trying not to imagine what would have happened if the ship had rocketed into the building under his less-than-skillful control. He shakes his head, as though trying to physically eliminate the image from his mind.

"I don't think the ship will be fixed anytime soon," Trey admits, "but I have to get inside it to tell for sure. Which means making it face the right direction."

---

Tamora's expression freezes, her teeth front teeth clenching around her straw and stopping the flow of drink. She glances between Keshin and Elayne, as though waiting for them to elaborate. When they don't, instead moving on to issues of payment, Tamora pushes her drink away from her and straightens up, looking Elayne in the eye.

"What exactly do you mean, 'worst decision'? What happened?" She asks.

Good, she's worried, Elayne thought, turning her eyes on Tamora. "My timeline was altered. Keshin is from my past, you see. Probably as you are, considering you're from the same timeline as Terenia. I was me one moment, and the next I was a host, controlled by a not-particularly-friendly Yeerk and having only the foggiest of memories of my previous reality." She paused, tapping on her chin thoughtfully. "Truthfully, though, I was lucky I wasn't eliminated altogether. What I told Keshin certainly had the potentially to wipe me out of existence."

Keshin nods over at where the guy with the bandage on his head went. He's definitely seen this guy around. He appears to be a friend of Elayne's. <Though exactly what connection they have I'm sort of vague on.>

<Wasn' he one of the guys that came in on the crashed ship when the bloodied guy showed up?>

<Yeah...I wonder whatever happened there. Guess it isn't really our problem.>

"Yeah, we can get that guy a pilot if he needs one," Keshin states. "He does seem a bit helpless and out of sorts, and I hear his ship crashed. But on the other hand, I would appreciate it if you didn't interfere with my deals. When you give information as payment for a service to a bounty hunter, you should expect him or her to tell it to another client. We don't really care what happens to reality so long as we still exist."

((Shen, just for clarification, Trey and Thordon are outside the bar under his overturned ship. Did you mean that Keshin nodded toward the back door, where the ship is located?))

Thordon looked around the area behind him. No real big areas to fit his ship, with all the piles of refuse. He looks to the boy and asks, "Well, where would you like it? The ground is too unstable here, what with the large gouge your ship created; and there's no real room for it to sit behind the bar without setting it on a pile of other ship parts."

((Ok, I'm going to try to switch into present tense. I've been stubbornly resisting for 7 months, but I guess it's about time. ;)))

Elayne nods in appreciation as Keshin agrees to help Trey instead, but at his last sentence, she smirks. Turning to Tamora with a bland smile, she says, "See? Just be careful with this one. You're not his concern, at least not after you pay up."

Then the pleasant expression returns as she looks at Keshin. "Thank you for your flexibility. I'll be with Napoleon if you have any questions," she jerks her thumb towards Mar as she starts to walk away.

Myitt heaves an exasperated sigh.

"It's no use sitting here," she complains to the bottles behind the bar counter.  She looks down at the empty glass.  "What the hell am I hiding from, anyway?  I'm just bad...bad, bad, bad."

She slides off her chair, taking the glass with her, and pauses to hold on to the empty bar stool next to her.

"Where d'you think you're going, love?" Corliss asks, mildly amused.

"Shut up, I can walk," Myitt grumbles, staggering over to where Terenia is standing.  Corliss watches from his seat at the bar, frowning.

She pulls up a bar stool and sits down heavily, looking Terenia up and down.

"You're drunk," she says, sounding not so sober, jabbing a finger at Terenia.

<Oh, brother,> Tara sighs, feeling quite lightheaded.

Then Myitt giggles and looks away.  "You know why I'm using this body to try and forget about the last few days?"  She glances back at Terenia, looking her in the main eyes.  "Hmm?  Come on, I wanna know.  Let's hear your theories."
