((I'll give you guys a quick description of the Skimmer, interior and exterior, so you know what to expect:
Exterior: Like the black, crouching spawn of a lobster and a spider, its body is segmented with a curved tail that ends in three flat engine pods (almost like a lobster or a shrimp's tail); in the front are four red plexi eye-like windows, similar to the two I always pictured on a Bug fighter, and a spiny "mouth" area like spider jaws that houses the Dracon cannon. Its four spindly landing gears project out from the sides and underbelly of the ship when landing, resembling the joints of a spider or perhaps a grasshopper.
Interior: The main hatchway leads to the off-white cabin, grey metal floor tiling. At the front are the weapons controls to the left, the navigational controls at the center, and an elaborate z-engine display to the right of navigation. There are seats at each of the three stations, plus two passenger seats on each wall. At the rear, much like in Myitt's Bug fighter, are two doors--one leads to a large storage room, and the other leads to the rear compartments of the ship. In the Skimmer, the rear compartments are all connected and you must travel through one to get to the other, due to the segmented nature of the ship. In order, they're: the pool room (which is dimly lit, grey metal, very warm and a little humid, and has a computer console, a couple of folding chairs, and a big tall metal tub currently covered with a plastic cover), simple quarters that house a maximum of three or four Hork-Bajir or humans, and the engine room. Each room gets slightly smaller as you travel closer to the tail, but none are so small that a human can't access them. Hope this helps!
))
Myitt rolls her eyes. "Don't listen to Mar, Elayne," she says as she helps her on board her Bug fighter. "He's a smooth-talker. And no, Mar, the biggest thing you can do to help me is sit down and buckle up. Okay?" To Elayne she smiles a bit sheepishly. "No, don't worry about it, just...you know what, buckle in tight at the weapons controls, I don't want anyone's brains getting knocked out if things get rocky. The restraints are living metal, they'll know what to do. And for the love of Pete, try not to touch the weapons unless we get entangled into an Imperial firefight; I don't want any friendly fire."
She seals the hatch once they're inside the cabin, snapping commands to the computer while sitting at the navigational controls and firing up the engines.
"I'm too stressed out," Myitt says anxiously, fiddling with white, glowing wires hanging underneath her control panel. "Do you guys like music? I hope so." She sits back and taps at a hovering holoscreen, and the ship lifts off the ground with a small jolt.
Hanging from under the controls sways a Sony discman, playing some kind of burned compilation CD. 'Gallows Pole' by Led Zeppelin streams softly into the off-white and metallic grey cabin.
"Corliss," she says to the computer, hailing her brother's ship, "this is Myitt, I'm in the Bug. Got your location. What's going on? Are you there?"
---
Corliss smiles at Alic. "No problem, mate, I'm glad you're all okay. Reckoned you'd need a lift. Is everyone on board?" He glances back at the hatch, making sure that everyone has come aboard.
His onboard link system chirps. It's Myitt, of course. "One Imperial down, another, a Hork-Bajir, is off in the trees somewhere. I'm trying to get a lock on their ship's position, but it's pretty damn well hidden. There might be something here...in the raw data..."
---
Myitt pilots the ship a bit higher, above the trees, getting a good vantage point of the forest and the bar, and the commotion going on somewhere behind it.
"Oh, I see the bastard, alright," Myitt says with a knifelike grin, tapping at a holoscreen. "Honestly, Corliss, when's the last time you updated your scan system? Oh, but they are well hidden. I almost didn't catch the scan anomaly. Good job, whoever you are. Servant of Visser Three, I guess it makes sense they'd have only the best."
---
Corliss sighs and sits back, shaking his head. "Of course, I see it now. Thanks. Bloody hell. Come over here, already, we're almost ready to leave." He looks back at the others. "Where's Ossanlin?"
