(I think Claxter was following her. In my last post I was talking about him following her after she left with Terenia.)

Claxter had lagged behind while he was deep in thoughts, but realised that Efaen had fallen out of sight. When he turned the corner of the bar he noticed she was nowhere in sight.

<Efaen? where are you?...Efaen!> He realised she may have decided to run off completely. He had lost her! what would Prince Ossanlin think!? He let her out of the ship, and she ran off! Stupid stupid stupid! He was in so much trouble if he didn't find her.

<<Come on Efaen. Don't play games. It won't improve the sistuation.>> He said privately while trying not to attract attention.

Temrash's comm link signaled something was up. His own ship had picked up something that could be a stealthed enemy ship. "I think we might have other guests soon." He messaged Zoshonel to be on his guard in case an attack came, and stealthed his own ship.

((Aw, I'm probably going to miss the new guy's entrance aren't I? I get off at 5p Pacific. I hope you guys don't get carried away. I'm not requesting you wait, I'm just hoping out loud.

Parker will definitely pick up the ship's movements once it reaches the bar, his motion detector would catch it, visible or not.

Chad, if the story progresses to the point that the new guy's ship enter's the vicinity of the bar, would you control Parker? If you have any questions, I'll PM you my work e-mail.))

Keshin nods at Elayne quietly. The normally sarcastic Yeerk looks like he doesn't want to talk much with her. "Yeah. This place is a bit far out from the Bar. I think. That's how the distance looked from there."

Keshin rolls his eyes at Myitt's comment. "No. I don't think we're exactly the best of buds. So the four-armed guy can glow? Is everyone here involved in bizarre dealings from beyond the stars?"

Mar groans, rolling his eyes. "Trust me, friend. You do not want to get too far involved with my mind. I only consider about 30% specifically mine, anyway. But I suppose you would know the difference. Your mind was...troubling." Mar frowns and paces about the grass, his hand on his chin. Mar then turns to Ossanlin with a look of worry. "Did something happen between you and the Empire?"

Mar glances at Thordon briefly. "And yes, that's fine."

(Gelia, Gaz, and temrash are all inside the bar. You can have her talk about wanting a job and weighing the choices between working for Temrash or Gaz or even Morgan. Though I am interested in having another character work for Temrash. Zoshonel does, but he's my own character, so it's no quite the same.)

((Alright, thanks.))

Gelia stepped over to Gaz's and Morgan's table again.  "Ah, am I interrupting something?"  She asked.  "I have a question to ask both of you."

((My bad, Chad. I misinterpreted your post. I'll just go with it :) ))

Efaen hears Claxter's thought-speech faintly, far in the distance. She hesitates, enjoying the solitude of the moment, but also yearning for his presence.

<<I am in the woods, Claxter,>> she responds privately, although she doubts anyone else is near enough to hear, <<about a hundred yards in.>>

She closes her main eyes and breathes in deeply, enjoying the scent of alien flora.

---

The Imperial ship stops mid-descent, still far enough from the surface of the planet that all landforms are obscured by cloud cover. The Hork-Bajir leans forward, inspecting the computer readout.

"The target appears to have separated from the group," he says, his speech a gutteral combination of Galard, Yeerkish and the native Hork-Bajir tongue.

"All the better for us," the human replies, "The read-outs suggest a wide variety of sentient lifeforms, and I would prefer to distance myself from those who can sense us."

"Sense us?" the Hork-Bajir asked, "but we are cloaked."

"Cloaking devices are fallible, Iskret," the human says, "I would like to acquire the target with as little difficulty as possible. At least one of those life forms is Andalite - a real Andalite, not some girl playing pretend. We get in, get the girl, get out and high tail it back to the Blade Ship, understood?"

"Yes, sir."

The human pilot entered in new coordinates, adjusting the ship so that it landed further from the bar. He chooses a small meadow far from the ship graveyard but relatively near the spot where Efaen stood awaiting Claxter. The ship remained cloaked, touching down on the grass gently.

"Alright, suit up," the human ordered, grabbing a holster and strapping it to the waist of his uniform, "In and out, don't forget."

Claxter went through the forest and found Efaen in a meadow. This too was quite the nice spot. Watching her standing amongst the flowers was like looking at some picturesque hologram of beauty and tranquility. He walked up to her.

<Well it seems the second time is the charm. Unless some other time-space entity intrudes on us. We are...alone at last, at least until Prince Ossanlin finds and lectures us.>

Meanwhile Temrash's state of the art sensors told him the ship had landed, but they were quite the distance away. There was nothing out that direction that he knew of.

(Parker is inside the bar with Temrash, right?)

"What do you mean, 'other guests'?" Myitt asks Temrash snidely.  "I didn't know you were in the business of announcing new arrivals to the bar."

"You don't mean an Imperial presence?" Corliss suddenly demands.

"Yes, and I charge by the entry." Temrash responded to Myitt. " That will be four credits. Just put them on the table. And yes Corliss, I do believe they are Emperials. At least they are flying Yeerk craft. Of course with all the Yeerks that seem to come through here, myself included, the cances of them being Loyalists is actually slim. My readuts say they've landed a good distance from the bar in the woods out back. I guess we could wait until they come here, since there's no one out that way. everyone else is in or around the bar, or by the water."

Myitt smiles at Temrash's joke.

"I reckon we should stick with Terenia, on my Skimmer, and get Efaen on board as well," says Corliss.  "Just in case.  Where'd Efaen and Claxter go, anyway?"  He shines his flashlight into the woods.

"Don't do that," Myitt scowls, lowering the flashlight in his hands.  "Do you want to put up a big neon sign while you're at it?"

"We need to get them back here, quickly," says Corliss.  "It doesn't matter if they want to be around us or not."  He glances at Ossanlin.  "Unless you can take them to the Apex Mirage, Ossanlin?"

((Chad, the cloaked ship is in the meadow. Efaen is still in the woods. The ship just landed at the closest open spot away from people.))

Efaen smiles at Claxter, moving forward amongst the trees, beckoning for him to follow.

<It is nice to be alone,> she confides, <Initially the silence disturbed me. I was so used to having another voice in my head. It was almost too quiet without it. But, I like being here with only you. I can choose whether or not I want to divulge in my feelings. I can choose whether or not I want to be close to you. It is a freedom I never want to lose again.>

--

In the pool, Terenia still is unfocused. Corliss has been gone for awhile, and she is suddenly feeling rather alone. She boots up the communications array, telling the computer to contact Corliss.

"Corliss, are you there? What's going on? Did you find Efaen?"
