The two Mortals agreeing with each other sparked the Daemons curiosity, were they really trying to protect a place or was it merely a deception? Such an interesting place, it would have to visit more often and bring a few…friends.
“You Mortals are quite clever! Clever indeed! Such interesting emotions! Yet it is your scent and those emotions that give you away!” Its plumage darkened to a dark red before brightening to a multitude of colors. “You should learn to suppress them!”
It nodded at the females pleading and ‘nervousness’ although the nerves were a real emotion, possibly having something to do with a Greater standing in close proximity.
“Clever, pleading are you? For a Greater not to go somewhere?” It chuckled, this was such an amusing place, it noted absently that the armoured human had retreated to the bar, not of any important note.
“And it seems you do not wish for any of the Greater to go to this ‘bar’, perhaps to spark curiosity and send this one on its way?” The faces in its flesh smiled and gibbered soundlessly, as the Daemon turned its attention to the slowly approaching Andalite
“Ah! Here comes the Strong-Willed Mortal, are you going to add to this little ruse or dispel it?”
The faces smiled rather creepily at the Andalite, one of them however silently railed in anger, appearing as if it wished to break free from its flesh prison. The face became more violent in its writhings when a being of power approached.
A cruel smile twisted the Daemons mouth and it laughed jovially.
“Why of course there was violence here! What fun is it if there isn’t some? Did quite a bit of damage to one of my forms they did! Quite entertaining!”
It eyed the newcomer, sizing him up before drawing itself to its full height, a towering 9’3.
“This being of the Warp greets you.”
The Lord of Change brought its head a little closer to the being, watching with an unblinking eye.
“Do you play the Great Game?”
