"And I don't think they'd like it if I walked over you to get where I'm going. You know them better than me, so I won't make any assumptions. But I am excellent in combat." He said. "You've got Myitt, who's not in excellent shape. Cordiss, who's drunk. Mar, who's injured worse than Myitt. Ossy who's unwilling to fight unless he absolutely has to. Breekan who'd be more concerned with prtecting Keirdan. And Shal who I'm unsure has combat ability. being in a Hork-Bajir body, most of my recent injuries have practically healed. Except for the blades, which will take a week to grow back, I'm practically in top form, and this container won't hinder me much. Sorry if I missed anyone, or misjudged anyone in my little speech, by the way."

Shalner glares at Termash, fully agreeing with Alic. She stands up, Keirdan in her arms, and walks in silence over to Breekan. She pops open a panel on Breekan's back, and shoves Keirdan through it, taking care that the knife she is still holding does not nick either of her brothers. She seals the panel behind the boy before he can protest.

With the boy in as safe a place as any, Shal moves to stand yet again by Alic. She clears her throat, and responds in a calm, low voice, "You will not leave here with the Yeerk." The colors of her eyes begin to pulse again, changing from their normal burgundy to an even deeper shade of crimson. She breathes deeply and steadily through her nose, trying to remain calm. She stares nervously at the panel through which she pushed Keirdan.

Temrash was a tad surpried about Breekan's panel. He had forgotten about that. He was about to comment, but Shal spoke.

<Wha...she talks?> Jagill said, astonished.

<I guess so.>

"May I ask why you are siding with Alic? How is Ardiss' situation any different from Myitt's? They both started out unsympathetic to their hosts. Myitt change, and so may Ardiss. She just needs more time. Basically, she has until this machine runs out of juice, plus three days, before it's too late for me to save her. And I plan to do that." Temrash placed the container behind him, and gripped it with his tail. That way, both arms were free. He held it steady against his back.

(I need some sleep. I'll pick up tomorrow.)

Alic's eyes became wide at the sound of Shal's voice. She thought that she couldn't speak. Then, to Temrash. <You don't know what any of us are capable of. > Her eyes glistened with excitement.
<There are many of us, and you may be risking it all. Do you really think no matter how injured or intoxicated anyone is, that we would let you just walk out?>

Her tail was high and it was swaying back and forth.

(One more post.)

"If you and your friends would kill me so quickly, then I suppose we are not as close as I had hoped. Have a little faith." Then Temrash leaped up to grab a rafter, and swung himself past Alic and Shal. He landed just beside the doorway, and opened it. He gave one glance back, flashed a grin, then rushed out of the bar.

*Ossanlin watches the situation calmly...a strange thing the Ellimist had done to him...his entire point of view had changed dramatically.  So many things insignificant, while others seemed more significant than they should've ever been.  So many things were happening around him so quickly, yet he was more deliberate than ever.  The human was under much stress, obviously, and who could blame her?  He almost senses that Tara grabs the wrong Yeerk, but says nothing...somehow this was the way it was supposed to happen, he felt it.*

*He watches the exchange between everyone, sensing Alic's smoldering rage.  He is surprised when Corliss speaks so freely of killing her, and then watches her disengage back into the pool, the real Myitt with Tara again.  He nods silently as Myitt speaks of not letting her go, and is suddenly surprised by Jess' vocalization.  He almost smiled despite the situation at that, at least she was still there.*

*Ossanlin could sense his part in this coming up, almost like he had some sort of sense of his own life-thread, almost some sort of precognition of his own timeline.  Just a feeling, he knew his time to act was coming up.  He watches as Temrash defends Ardiss, silently agreeing with him, a promise had been made and he would not let the Yeerk known as Ardiss die.  Then, Temrash sweeps up the container and swings overhead and out the door with it.  Before he is halfway out the door, Ossanlin springs into action, rushing out the door and pursuing Temrash at a dead gallop.  Jagill was fast, no doubt, but he could only lope and an andalite gallop was faster than a hork-bajir lope any day.  Ossanlin would not allow harm to come to Ardiss, but he wouldn't allow her to leave or be taken away either.*

*Ossanlin continues to pursue Temrash, his arms crossed, each resting on the hilt of a katana, ready to draw with lightning speed.  His tail is pulled down against his body to streamline as he gallops.*  <Temrash!  I won't allow you to leave with her.  I made a promise not to hurt her and I won't allow harm to come to her, but she can't leave.  She cannot leave Temrash!  You only have two choices...you can keep running, but you do have a slight burden and hork-bajir are meant for climbing...I'll catch you.  Your choices are between returning peacefully to the bar so we can talk, or fighting me.  I do not wish to raise my blades to you but I will if you force me to.>  *Ossanlin's face is a mask of determination, peace was always the better option, but he could NOT let Ardiss escape.*

Seeing Temrash jump up Alic ran to the door right behind Ossanlin. She was quite agile and would have been surprised that Ossanlin beat her there, if she didn't have her mind set on stopping the hork bajir controller.

Wolffe grinned "Aye Sir, and it wouldnae do ta have mah reputation tarnished, even if Ah was ta lose to ye" And slugged back his drink, slamming the glass down on the table only a split-second before Radec "If ye ken tha' yer've got wha' it takes ter beat me, then ye welcome ta try, Sir" Since Radec was drinking he was considered Off Duty, which meant that Wolffe could boast about his drinking accomplishments without fear of reprisals, especially since he had won every drinking Competition he had ever entered and now no sane (or sober) Helghast would drink with him.

Deucalion nodded "Thank you sir" Before putting his drink down and replacing his mask back on, he picked up his gun, slung it over his shoulder and went for a walk around the bar, his interest piqued by the myriad of aliens and even the odd human, but he mainly did this to make sure there were no I.S.A around. He did keep a closer eye on the pair of antagonists though, as a fight could soon escalate into a full scale brawl.

((Yeah, I can understand Wolffe, too ^^ Interesting characters you've got there!))

"Ardiss is not like me," says Myitt indignantly to Jagill/Temrash.  "I was no interrogator.  And she just isn't cracked enough to be a host sympathizer.  She just hates her job, the coward."

As Temrash grabs Ardiss and runs for the door, both of the rebels are almost instantly up in arms.

"****," Myitt scowls, hurrying to the door and drawing her Dracon with her left hand.  "She can't leave here, Corliss, that's for damn sure."

"I'm with you on that, mate," says Corliss, looking back at everyone and drawing his own Dracon.  "Stay with Kara, she's going to need help."

"Then hurry the hell up!  And be careful," Myitt hisses, going back over to Kara as Corliss rushes out the door.  "Kara, I need to know where Ardiss' ship is located.  Can you help me?"

Corliss follows Ossanlin in a hurry, out of breath by the time he's close enough to speak to him.  "What the hell, mate, can't we ever get a break?" he laughs, incredulously, between breaths.

Alic sprints ahead and leaps around to cut off the hork. She stops just feet in front of him and whips her tail forward, her blade reflecting the sun. She wasn't near out of breath.

<It stops right here.> Alic was almost smiling. <Set her down and leave peacefully.. Or we can settle this the hard way.> She would be happy to get revenge on what had happened to her previously, he had caused her much physical pain. He thinks she's not strong, but he forgets who her father was and what he did to his hosts kind. Alic could be just as heartless.

Breekan is stunned into silence the moment Shal speaks, and is only broken from his daze when Temrash bursts out. He offers her a quick, panicked hug, and rushes out the door, taking to the air quickly. He unleashes his arm-mounted blaster and swoops over to join the others, firing several warning blasts in front of and to the sides of Temrash.

"Basic Slaughter-Philosophy!" Breekan shouts down, the air howling around him as he flies. "Learn to ****ing count!"

"No one is on my side at all?" Temrash mumbles. Regretting that the treeline is so far away. He should have known he wouldn't be able to make it. "What else is there to say? I've said I know a way to help Ardiss. If you don't like my plan, then come up with another. But you're not killing her." He doesn't move from his spot. His arms dangle at his sides, but his hands rest ever so close to his dracon beams. What setting did he have them on, again? Full, if he remembered correctly. No holding back on that Hunter from earlier. He was surrounded on three sides. He smiled that old smile of days long gone.

"This isn't a fair fight. There aren't nearly enough of you." He said coldly. Starting to revert to the stage where he slaughtered dozens of enemy soldiers.

Knowing she'll be no help with her knife, Shal sets it down on the bar, and pauses in front of Myitt, holding her hand out. "Shredder, please."
