Kara shrugs, "Can't say I've run into anyone with mythical powers. Normal abilities are more than enough, I think. Besides," she allows a slight sneer to fall on her face before going on, "Andalite mythology is hardly a reliable source. Who can tell what is and isn't real in this galaxy anymore?"

"'ey," Corliss says, addressing Kara again.  "Who the hell are you, then?"

Keirdan stirs, and sits up. He rubs his eyes. "Where's my pirate?" He inquires, in a tired, irritable voice.

She turns to Corliss and gives him one of her asymmetrical smiles, "You can call me Kara. That's what most know me by. And you are?" She holds out her hand in a mockery of a handshake, giggling a little from the liquor.

Alic was waiting outside, debating on whether to back in, or to go meet up with Ossanlin. Either groups didn't seem like something she would enjoy being around at the time. She heard the conversation inside with the girl Kara and could have laughed. Andalite myths, if she only knew! Crayak, Ellimist, a myth? Her and her friends have dealt with both one too many times. Earth had more fairy tales than she could count, and they were definately untrue. They encouraged their children to believe in these tales, so she did not believe this human had much room to talk.
She had been waiting for a response from Ossanlin and he had not given her one yet. Alic decided instead of waiting around the bar, she would head down and meet up with her other friends. She started to walk to the ship where they were, happy to be away from the old, crowded place.

Shal looks at Alic, gives her a half-smile, and raises her hand in a greeting.

Kara shifts nervously in her stool, peering past Mar and Corliss into the gloom of the bar, taking in the other occupants for the first time.

Keirdan notices Kara, and stands up. He approaches her, and looks at her face for a moment before blurting, "What happened to your face, lady?" He reaches up to touch it.

For a moment she seems a bit flabbergasted by his abruptness. The hand not clutching her glass moved to touch the rough, angry line gently, brushing his hand out of the way in the process.

"Oh," she laughs hesitantly, not quite sure how to address him, "This? This is what happens when you make an Andalite angry. It was a bit of a cruel joke for him, you see?" She points at her right ear, which is nonexistent. "The foul beast thought to trap me in here, starve me out. He only got halfway before I was able to kill him." She shrugs a bit, "and who are you?"

"I'm Keirdan and I can get the bad guys with my eyes!" He covers his mouth immediately after saying this, and glances nervously at Breekan. "Oops. I mean. I'm Keirdan, and I'm a Pirate. ARR!" He reaches up to touch her face again.

"Oh. Um..." She seems uncertain about how to proceed, obviously made uncomfortable by his closeness and his comments, "That's....nice, I guess...."

Mar chuckles, gesturing with his hand and focusing as hard as he can. One of the bar stools lifts off the ground rather obviously. Mar groans as he realizes how much effort this is now taking him, and promptly lowers the bar stool back down with his hand.

Mar smacks his forehead. "In short, I really hate being mortal. But mystical, impossible abilities are quite real, as are the higher beings with larger amounts of mass than the average. In a bar where you're surrounded by the reluctant subjects of the local universe's malefactor, it would be unwise to question this. As it is unwise for me to be using my powers in such a solid state without practice. I haven't been like this in a very long time, but I'm getting used to it. It's the only way to avoid Crayak."

Mar then glances at her oddly. "And the others bring up a point. Aren't you human?"

She stares at the barstool that had just recently been lifted into what seemed like thin air, wide-eyed, "You used a force field." She says uncertainly. She seems to shake herself free before answering his question, "No, I am not a human. What human would find themselves in a bar so far from Earth? I am Yeerk, of course. What else could I be?"

Keirdan touches Kara's face, then climbs up on the stool next to her. He begins to spin the stool, and sings his pirate song. He stops, he stares at Kara expectantly. "I'm hungry."

Mar grins. "So, you are much the same as my beloved Myitt. Another self-serving master of the universe who prefers to not be part of the Empire, most likely. Otherwise you'd have no business being chased by bounty hunters. As for me...it wasn't a force field. I have a magitechnological device with me, but I probably can't use it in this state. It's merely a broken copy. Do you wish for me to do something less replicable? That might be somewhat difficult, but possible."

Mar laughs. He's having a lot of fun with this, and the warmth is rising through him.
