"Bloody hell," Corliss whispers as the hunter rants and raves, pocketing the detonator and shaking his head.  Remembering the shield, Corliss picks up the chair he'd been sitting in, swinging it at the bounty hunter as the hunter charges Temrash and his sibling.

Mike let out a sudden 'meow' as he was hauled into the air, his body going stiff. He wasn't sure for a moment if this kid really was a kid or not and fear bolted through him. As he felt his body being crushed between the cold bar stool and Keirdan, he felt a strange sense of relief. His fear returned then because he realized if this -was- a kid then this bobcat was in trouble of accidentally being squashed or dropped. But he kept himself in control and let the boy play with his body. He felt he was doing some good after what had happened with Myitt and just let bygones be bygones. He tried to purr, hoping to make the boy as comfortable as possible as he was twisted and pulled into odd shapes by him.

The moment the hunter lifted his arm , Alic leaped forward. She was smiled, the adrenaline rush was amazing! It had been so long since she's been involved in some action. There was no way she could allow that sword to touch anyone, especially her friends.
Sounding like a whip, she struck her tailblade at the hand holding the sword. Alic had been trained well by her Father when she was young, but she rarely used the skills and hope she still had it in her.

Breekan grabs Shal by the ankles and tries to pull her towards the bar as trouble erupts just yards away. He pulls his blaster from its holster, and points it at Temrash, ready to fire if he approaches. He undoes a panel on the side of his suit, and it flops open, blasting a cool breeze of air and showing a plain white room inside.

He tries to steady his breathing as he speaks. "Keirdan, Mr. Bobcat: things are getting a little scary out here. If you go in through the funny door on my back, I'll get you whatever toy you want.  Sound fun?"

Zin can't help noticing the smaller cat. They aren't exactly un-alike despite the size difference. "What species are you?" He doesn't think it's a small Vardian, he's only the size of a cub, and already out on his own.  He decidely goes quiet though when the guns come into play. Sure, he can disarm the guy with his mind, but he'd rather not make the effort. It's the downside of having an energy basis: Using too much of one's powers is a real drain.

Eskon meanwhile is wondering if he picked the wrong time to wander in.

<See, it's not just humans who don't get along. Maybe the species aren't so different in the end.>

<Oh be quiet. Truthfully your kind would fit right in though. >

<It would be fascinating to study some of these species. I used to dissect animals as a boy, but then you already know that.>

<We'll see who dissects who. I'd love to play my sadistic streak and make you do it to your female.>

<That attitude will get you killed, just wait.> Gilbert betrays a little emotion as he snaps back.

<Yeah and then you'll probably get someone even worse than me.  Admit it, you secretly like me.>

<I want to throw you in a salt pile. That's my opinion.>

<Not that you'll ever get the chance.>

<We'll see.>

(yes those two go at it a lot lol)

((Zin might also find Breekan's species, Catshife, interesting--he's a humanoid panther looking thing with bat-like wings. :P  Don't worry, my characters will be very interested in yours, they're just kind of...busy right now xP ))

Shalner starts, and kicks at Breekan, her eyes turn a deeper shade of red and her body re-solidifies. She stands up and walks straight for the bar. Without hesitating she picks Keirdan and Mike up, shoving them towards the door in Breekan's back before retrieving her knife from the sheath it's in under her pants leg. As she straightens up, she stares at the blade, running a finger over it's shimmering, deep red surface. She stands next to Breekan, staring at Temrash.

In the confusion, Keirdan allows himself to be shoved through the door, and attempts to keep his grip on Mike, but not quite managing to hold him as tightly as he'd like. The cat could easily get away, or let the boy hang onto him.

The "door" shuts behind Keirdan (and possibly Mike). Breekan stammers. "Erm, good instinct, forceful execution. We'll uh, get your eyes checked later." He repositions into a more confident fighting stance, visibly relieved to see the child out of danger.

Temrash's bpdy tensed when another person raised a dracon beam to him, after he rushed to Myitt's side. But Shal kicked him, and stood beside him. As doubtful as he was about this strange person, he had to focus on his greater enemy. Alic had managed to stop the sword with her tail, and he was caught off guard. Temrash leaped on top of him, to wrestle the sword away. The hunter screamed in fury. He threw Temrash off, and made to attack Alic. Temrash drew his dracon beams, but the hunter turned sideways. Shield aimed towards Temrash, while he jousted against Alic. Temrash found a good position, then held a dracon beam at the hunter in the hopes of getting a shot. He held the other towards Breekan.

"Not a good time to be pointing firearms at me!"

Mar smiles as he notes that the young child is out of the way. He's shaking and shivering, but seems to be returning to normal. A number of other people have entered the fray, and the situation with the bounty hunter is becoming complicated. Do situations in this bar always become more complicated by the second?

Mar then walks among the others and stares at the bounty hunter. He calmly states,

"Do you have some kind of grudge against this man? You must have noticed by now that he's more trouble than he's worth. If you were sensible, you would have left already."

Corliss misses the bounty hunter with the chair.  "Damnit, that didn't turn out the way I'd planned," he murmurs, after recovering.  He sets the chair down, breathing heavily.  "I think you'd better listen to this Mar fellow," he huffs, brushing his hair away from his sweating forehead.

"Yes, please," says Myitt nervously, ducking Alic's tail and pointing her Dracon at the hunter without firing.

The hunter's face is contorted with anger, frustration, and a few other emotions. He takes a swift look around, then after a few seconds storms out of the bar. Temrash puts his dracon beams away, hoping it's over.

"Well. Looks like he's had enough for today. Probably hopes I'll die of Kandrona starvation tomorrow anyway. Which I hope you'll be able to prevent." Temrash said to Myitt. "Thanks for the help. Looks like whatever they're paying him for isn't quite enough for all this." He slumps onto a bar stool, and asks the barkeep for something that will calm his nerves.

Alic had thrown her tail forward again to attempt to block the hunter's attack, but this time she wasn't quick enough. The sword had made a deep cut into her chest. She staggered backwards and looked down with her stalk eyes, keeping her main eyes on the hunter. Nothing a morph wouldn't fix..
Wanting to get a chance at him again, Alic took a step forward, then noticed all the weapons pointed at him and decided to not get in the way.

<Coward!> she yelled after him after he had left the bar. Again she looked down and noticed the blood was starting to make quite a mess. She concentrated on being human, thinking having a mouth to have a drink sounded good right now anyway.

Breekan puts his blaster away. "Sorry about that- with the fracas going on in here, I wasn't quite sure who I should be ready to get fired at by." He ****s an eyebrow. "Do you reckon it's safe for minors out here?"

"I have no idea. How safe for them is it in there?" Temrash asked.

<Safe as you in me?> Jagill asked.

<Maybe. But I don't breathe oxygen.>
