She scowls and takes a sip of her milk before she starts ranting,"Putting me into some sort of desk-like job. How many years have I been fighting for those bast****, and they want to put me at a daspen desk job. I might not have a tail, but I've better aim then the half of them with a gun, and my arisths are some of the top fighters out there now. My ship's only gone down twice, and I'd bet I could at least match any one of them with my blade."

Myitt hisses softly, glancing briefly at Ronny and biting her lip, then looking back at Sub.  "I can't even get them to agree to a weapons trade, or hell, even a diplomatic meeting.  Just because we're an 'armed group of Yeerk insurgents'.  Doesn't matter that we're fighting practically on their side."  She exhales.  "But hey, look on the bright side.  Maybe a desk job ain't so bad?  It'll get you out of the line of fire for a little while, right?"

Sub sighs, also glancing at Ronny before lowering her voice and leaning forward a bit,"I've been trying to work something out for you guys on my end. Don't know how the hell I got this far with them. Been wonderin' the past few years why they trust me at all. But, hey, if I can do more good here..."

She leans back, talking in a more normal tone again,"I like being in the line of fire. I like the fight. I don't care how 'homey' those fu**in' domes are for those guys, it just isn't my thing, sticking in one place for a long time, even if it is a dome ship or a relatively friendly planet or whatnot. I'd get all, I dunno, twitchy."

Myitt laughs a little, silently.  "I wish I could say I liked my job, but as long as we've got connections like you, it's gotta get easier.  Maybe."  She shrugs, keeping her voice low.  "Anyway, I know what you mean about staying in one place.  Sometimes even this place looks good after being holed up so long at the base.  There are only so many math proofs and tactics reviews you can go through before you start daydreaming about beer and cable TV."

Sub laughs,"I kinda miss cable. But I think that's more Nikki coming out in me than me myself. Not that she got to watch a lot before I came along. I do miss real food. Like, a good steak. Andalites just don't get the point of a good steak. I've been forced to become a salad freak over the years. That and 'supplemented rations'." she shudders,"You can tell that they don't have that good of a sense of taste."

Sub very calmly gets up and throws her chair over Myitt's head, trying not to laugh. She gets another chair, and drags it over to her previous spot before sitting down. She sighs contentedly,"Yeah, you're right, that is better.
