Amy wasn't used to someone that looked younger than herself mutter about being too old.  "Well compared to you I'm still young I guess.  Are you sure you can handle him on your own?"

<Thank you,> Taylis said.  <Amy will want to know about my decision.>

Fiona waves a hand. "Sure. Well, probably." She thinks about it, then shrugs. "I've been managing to elude him for two years now. Part of that is from knowing him so well. Part of it's being more experienced at this sort of thing than he is. And part of it's that he has a hard time attacking me when I look like this." She pauses, and smiles slightly. "And I may or may not let him think that there's a way to get rid of me without killing her."

"What is your relationship with him and why does he want to kill you?" Amy asked.

Fiona rubs her eyes. "About six years ago, he started dating my host. Almost a year after that, I came to possess Fiona. Sometime over the next three years, we... might have gotten somewhat attached." She looks uncomfortable. "Anyway, he told me about the Yeerks and his part in things... though I'd already pretty much figured it out." She smirks. "He had a tendency of leaving for work hours early every three days or so."

"He wants to kill me--or at any rate, get rid of me--because he wants his girlfriend back." She kicks at the bar, frowning. "How was I supposed to know he actually cared that much? Enough that I didn't matter at all.

"Well great," Illim mutters, turning towards the bartender to order a drink then thinking better of it, considering his finances. "Just try not to look too suspicious, alright? You've got nothing to worry about from them. They're probably proud as pea****s they freed you from whatever you can't remember. I'm the one who has to worry."

She looked to him then and ceased her tapping, missing the static. "I can't really do that. The CG would rather have me back in their hands. And my apparent Grandfather is no longer among us...or the living. Being on the run doesn't help me much." she sighed. "But it was a thought."

Amy quickly wiped away all emotion from her face.  She was talking to a being that had interfered with a perfectly fine romance just like Larry's Yeerk had.  She wished that she could rip away the being, whatever she was, from Fiona, and reunite the couple.  "Is the death of your host the only way you can leave?"

"I'll go tell her. I'll be back for you later." Temrash said. "Let's go back to the bar and finish having drinks, Kevlin. We'll bring the dog too. Come dog." He said, hoping that it would understand a command even if it was just an animal. He started making his way out of the ship.

<Perhaps you could chronicle your situation, and all that you've found out. It may help you and others understand your powers more if the information is written down.>

"Sure. Lay low." Derrel said as he sipped his drink. He wished he had a weapon.

"Trust me, I've tried." Fiona takes another sip of her drink. "Also, exorcisms don't work. Well, I mean, they work, it's just that they get rid of me and the person I'm possessing. It just doesn't end well."

Amy bit her lip to hide the her feelings.  "Let me know when he comes.  I... could help you."  Why was lying so easy?

"The only help I'm going to need is talking some sense into him." Fiona sighs. "I don't even know why I'm bothering. The outcome's going to be the same, what does it matter how it happens, right?" She goes back to laying her head on the bar.

Terenia takes an internal breath, mentally preparing herself.

<Yes, I'd like to. I know that you will know everything that Mike says, but I think he'll still speak freer if you aren't there.> There is an implied apology in her words. She feels guilty, like she saying that she does not trust Corliss.

Efaen finishes her work and opens a new task on the computer.

<Computer, set self-destruct sequence,> she orders. The computer beeps in compliance, asking for a verification code. After a moments hesitation she dictates a series of Yeerk numbers and letters.

"Self-destruct will begin in five minutes," the computer warns. Efaen reaches into a lower compartment, pulling out a spare holster and Dracon Beam. Securing the holster around her waist she scans the room for anything of value. Terenia's spare Kandrona supplies are sticking out of a hastily closed drawer. A portable Yeerk Pool is folded up in the corner. Tacked to the wall is an oddity; an outdated Earth calendar that is showing the month of August. Seeing nothing of worth, Efaen strides down the ramp, closing it behind her.

She ticks off the minutes in her mind, putting as much distance between herself and the ship as possible before it destroys itself.

"I don't know what you mean by 'the outcome will be the same,'" Amy said.  "Do you believe this won't matter?"

"It won't. It's time for me to move on." Fiona sighs. "Hell, it's not like I could give him what he wants, anyway." She runs her finger over the bar. "I just want some closure. That's all." And to say goodbye. And to make sure they'll be all right.
