<Oh please...you really want to tie an open, liquid-filled sloshing plastic container with your best friend swimming around in it to the end of a swinging, suspended rope?  I guess I don't have to kill him, you'll do it for me.>  Ossanlin chuckles as he runs a hand over the engaged energy-matter shields of his ship, a small but pleasant current of energy running through him.  The phasic shield-matrix felt like a wall of impossibly smooth glass, perfectly rounded.

<I believe it would be in the best interests of everyone that you land and accept your Yeerk personally.  We certainly wouldn't want anything untoward to happen to him.>  Ossanlin phases through the active shields, a small portion configuring its matrix to his biological format.  For a moment he IS a part of the shield.  He then commands the hatch to open and leaves it open as he trots up the ramp into his vessel.  All the doors had locked down due to an attempted breech.  He removes his ARC computer from his battle harness and plugs it into the control-panel leading to flight-control, using a combination of digital code and thought-speech to open the door.  He docks the ARC computer to the main control panel, again using a combination of digital code and thought-speech, as well as bio-scans to remove the ship's lockdown.  He keeps the shields active and cycles the engines once to make sure everything is in working order.  He glances over at the sludge-filled tupperware container which had to be quite cold by now.

<I imagine your yeerk is rather cold...you might want to begin those landing procedures human.>  Ossanlin taps a few buttons on the main console.

"No," Tamora says, looking up to Cody, "Don't land. We can bring the ship down, but don't land it. If we get it within a few feet of the ground you can jump out and get your Yeerk. I'll take her back up and bring her around again to get you once you aren't around Ossanlin anymore."

Tamora takes the Dracon that Bear had nudged over, giving him an appreciative nod. Otherwise she ignores him and their captive.

---

Terenia nods, wide eyed. Following Corliss' directions would not be too difficult. The last thing that Terenia wanted right now was a conversation with Visser Three, even if Efaen was ready and willing to run back to him with open arms. The thought of being in the ship alone while Reven interrogated her, though? It made her muscles stiffen with anticipation. She had been interrogated far too many times in the past to look forward to this one.

"I promise," she says softly.

(Hey cobra, are you going to post for John? Or did he just leave the fight? Also you might want Bear to be less intuitive if he's supposed to just be a dog.)

Cody hadn't thought that all the sloshing and twisting of a tank suspended by rope would hurt Sukohn. He didn't want to have done all this just to get a dead Yeerk out of it. "Fine. I'm going down. If anything happens, just book it for the Empire. Bringing home a souvenier should help you." He said as he lowered the ship enough to get down. He entred the ship and made for Sukohn's tank.

<At last.> sukohn said to himself as Cody was finally returned to him. He quickly made for his host's ear, and crawled through to his brain. There was a period of silence as Sukohn went through his memories, and slowly his face turned into one of surprise.

"My my. It seems Cody has had an exciting time. Getting into all kinds of trouble, as well as surely making trouble for the child left in charge of him." He said as he turned to Ossanlin. "You mentioned a reluctance to let us leave this rock. What do you plan to do with us, if not let us leave, oh benevolent Prince?"

((Chad...the shields were still active...Ossanlin would've had to let you in.  He certainly would've drawn a weapon and held it on Cody all the way through the process...also if Cody's fighter does go back up into the air, Ossanlin will react to that as well...I know you're just trying to move the plot along, but there are some things that can't be rushed.  I'll say Ossanlin let you in and drew his weapon as you entered so you don't have to alter your post, I won't post it as an action, I'll just say it happened.  But before I actually post an action response...I need to wait and see what Jessi does with Tamora and your bug.))

((Sorry Kelly, I managed to miss your post somehow. Thanks for the reminder.))

Elayne leans over to stuff her feet into her boots, hiding her confused expression from Mar. Why should new alliances be a problem, she wonders, unless they fade as soon as those who make them leave the Bar?

Clearing her frown, she stands up and walks to the ship's hatch, opening it. "I don't think you should be too hard on yourself," she says to him. "You had to sleep just now, and you've probably been needing a break from your life for a while."

She hesitates before offering, "If you want, we could split up for a while. Maybe that would help you focus on what you need to focus on. Not like I'll be bored... Trey probably needs some help, and I should start working on my ship's repairs soon, anyway."

Tora's vision and hearing are shaking the effects of the explosion, but the smoke and heat inside the Bug are making her think slower than usual.

A crash sounds behind her, and she swivels an eye stalk backwards to see what caused it. The top row of the palate of plastic-wrapped dry goods has fallen to the ground because the heat from the nearby engine, which she now begins to worry is on fire, has melted the plastic, giving off a sickly chemical smell.

She puts a bloody hand to her nose to protect her lungs and continues to make her way to the door. Just get outside, she thinks. Then you can breathe.

((Plus Chad, it's not exactly a "tank", Sukohn was in a little plastic tupperware container x3 Sorry this post is so short guys, gotta run!))

As soon as the ship hovers close to Ossanlin, everyone's back has turned away from her.  Myitt's expression turns resolute and she takes a deep breath.

<Here goes nothing,> she murmurs.

"Hey, grass-eater!" she yells at the top of her lungs.  "Ossanlin, I'm in here, don't trust them!"

((Note: Technically Mar shouldn't be able to do this as is. He should only be able to determine whether someone is dying or not. But I want to get at least one of my characters back in the story. That, and it's a damn amusing thought that Mar might be so far away from his immortal self that he can get manipulated by it for unknown purposes. XDD ))

Mar nods quietly, thinking on what Elayne has said. "I just don't want you to get---"

Mar's thoughts are interrupted quite quickly by the sense that someone else he cares about is close to getting hurt. An outer voice he is only barely aware of states that one of the possible universe outcomes of the current situation is the death of his Precious. It tells him nothing else whatsoever, not even Myitt's current location. Mar begins to pace the inside of Elayne's ship. He then turns to her again.

"Myitt appears..." Mar frowns. He has no idea why he would know this. Even the outer self is concerned with Myitt's viability? Strange how he's coming dangerously close to being a pawn in his own plans. "...to be in some kind of trouble. That is...all I know. I think I can make out where she is with effort, but why...never mind. It doesn't really matter. I cannot just leave her to die after everything I did to keep her alive."

Claxter calmed down a bit after the other pilot stopped firing at him, and he began to monitor Cody's ship. It seems it was near the Mirage now, and had dropped someone off. He still couldn't afford to fire at it without orders, but he watched from a safe distance.

Ossanlin's head jerks involuntarily as Myitt's voice echoes through the open ramp and into the ship, Ossanlin commands his shredder to stun and sharpens his aim, his other hand flying to the second shredder and drawing it in one fluid motion, both now trained directly on Sukohn/Cody.  <That was Myitt's voice, what has your host done Yeerk?  I swear if he has hurt Myitt, he will burn to death very painfully.  You would be short a host, so I suggest you let Myitt out of your ship or things will get very complicated.>

Ossanlin gives no outward sign that Myitt used the word "them", implying at least one accomplice.  His brain turned quickly.  They had brought Cody and Sukohn here alone.  Myitt certainly didn't mean Sukohn as she had no way of knowing Sukohn was back with Cody.  That left someone who presumably knew how to pilot a bug.  It couldn't be Kesshin...he was still out of it...There weren't that many people here that could pilot bugs, at least not crazy people who would help an Impe.....Ossanlin's thought stops dead in its tracks.  He keeps his facial expression stony and cold, but inside he growls with anger.  Tamora...it was the only sensible solution to who might be in the bug.

"Luckily for Myitt, she has yet to be harmed. Zorish must have trained his host well, to be so attached as to take revenge on his killer. However, she does not want to harm a fellow Human. Rebel or no. Now I would not have done what Cody has done, but I guess I'll roll with this plan. You are an Andalite of high stature, and have multiple allies that could shoot my ship down in case I want to escape. You certainly have Terenia grounded and unable to escape." Sukohn said casually. He wasn't overly concerned about being aimed at.

"Now. Myitt is currently my only bargaining chip. If someone blasts a nice big hole in my ship, Myitt could die. If the ship is merely disabled, Myitt could be killed anyway. I would like to leave this planet with everything that belongs to the Empire. That includes Tamora, and I suppose Terenia as well. Though she has made it clear that she wishes death on Tamora, so I wouldn't be insistent on taking a hostile person with me unless she resumed her Andalite form and was kept under stasis or sedation for the trip."

"I don't mind dying, and the Yeerk Empire would suffer little loss if I were in fact dead. You and the rebels would likely be at a loss if Myitt died. I am open to suggestions for us to reach a mutually beneficial situation. I'd rather not spend the rest of my life here with Andalites and rebels, worrying that any minute the only Imperial in the area may be killed off by her strange sister. Especially since Tamora is a Human pet, and not one of my kind."

Blue eyes widening, Elayne gestures rapidly towards the open door. "Then go, and I'll go with you," she tells Mar. "I don't want to see her get hurt, either. And I wouldn't question where the knowledge came from or why it showed up, at least not yet; there may not be time to do anything but act now."
