((The way I figure it, it's something that's happening just to me within that one moment of time, so it will seem like I never lapsed out...that's what I was going for anyway. I was just too tired to post the rest of it last night. :p))
*Ossanlin surveyed his surroundings again, all the people outside frozen in place, but he suddenly saw movement and saw what looked like an elderly human man with a long flowing beard and long white hair approaching him. He had not before noticed the existance of the man.* <Who are you?>
"I'm so sorry, I had forgotten how daunting it is to you mortals when so much of my attention is concentrated on you. Of course you already know the answer to your question don't you?"
<I do, the manipulator himself...>
*the man came to sit on a nearby stone outcropping, sighing as he sat.* "I'm sorry that you think so lowly of me Ossanlin, I'm only trying to stop the destruction of the Universe as you know it. You know if my enemy won, he would remake the Universe in his image, and the Yeerks would be made into an overlord race, more powerful and capable than any other beings in existance."
*Ossanlin focused all four eyes on the old man, squinting a bit.* <You use us as pawns in your game with no concern for us. All that matters to you is the silly game that you play with our lives.>
"That is not entirely true Ossanlin. I'm sure with your extended awareness that you are somewhat sensitive to my power, and His is just as much as mine. We battled once ourselves Ossanlin, but the damage to the Universe was so great that we agreed to let the mortals decide who would win. Crayak was worried that there would be no one left to serve him and his evil purposes, I was dismayed by the great losses of life and the amount of destruction. We agreed that mortals would decide their own fate. In the end, it is you and your brothers and sisters of the Universe to decide how it all ends."
*Ossanlin shook his head, not sure if he should believe the emulation of the old man or not.* <For all I know, you could be another general of the Crayak.>
"Search your feelings and your senses Ossanlin, you know that this is not true."
*And somehow Ossanlin did, and he was sure of the old man's identity as well.* <You could've chosen any form to emulate, yet you chose human, why?>
*the old man leaned forward a bit and adjusted his position, leaning back a little again on his staff.* "For several reasons Ossanlin. While you know that I am not evil, I AM devious. The Crayak has devoted all of his power and most of his awareness to the Yeerks, he has decided to place all of his power with them and try to beat me with sheer force. I have convinced him that I have done the same for the Andalites. That is the way his mind works. But I have only invested enough power and awareness in the Andalites to allow them to hold the Yeerks at bay. The rest has been devoted elsewhere, diversified. The humans are my true weapon against Him. He thinks they are merely more fodder for His Yeerks, but the fact is, the humans have a great strength of will and a desire to maintain their freedom and individuality. The Yeerks will not enslave them, and in the end I believe that they will defeat them, with the assistance of the Andalites."
*Ossanlin shook his head again, trying to take it all in.* <And why are you telling me all of this, why now?>
*the old man grinned a bit at him, winking.* "A worthy question Prince. I meant for you to become a Silver Blade from the beginning, that meeting with Stef was not by chance. Unfortunately the Crayak was paying attention and managed to distract you away, leaving the transformation only partial. But now, thanks to the Crayak's actions through the child Keirdan, you have gained full control of your Silver Blade powers. Instead of cursing Crayak for foiling your transformation originally, I should've been thanking him. Because of the partial transformation, you have kept your regular Andalite strength. Because of this you have more energy than other Silver Blades and recover your energy much quicker. By slowing the process, he has made you more powerful. Because of this, you have now become the general I have wanted you to become. Your honor and caring for all living things, your lack of bigotry, and your devotion to your friends make you an ideal warrior for my cause and the good of the Universe."
*the old man pointed his staff at Jess, Breek, and Keirdan.* "They are all generals of the Crayak. They hold no love for their master, but they obey Him because they must, He does not give them a choice. Yet through all of this... *glowing spots appear beneath Shal's and Breek's feet* "You have become friends with these two...this is very significant. There is hope for them. If you can truly get through to them, to convince them to defy their master, there may be some hope of recovering them from His darkness. And her... " *the old man points his staff at Myitt.* "A being supposedly favoring Crayak has bonded so deeply with her human host that she has broken His spell. And you have befriended her as well. If more Yeerks could be won over to our cause, Crayak would be foiled with no doubt. So you see Ossanlin, you are now one of my generals...with your new powers, you can more directly and effectively oppose the forces of Crayak. New hope lies with you, Silver Blade."
*Ossanlin drops to his knees, bracing his hands on a nearby bench. A general of the Ellimist? This could not be possible. The Ellimist was devious, whether his reassured feelings of trust were genuine or inspired by the being himself Ossanlin did not know, but he did know that the Ellimist could not be trusted far. He might not be outright evil, but he WAS ruthless, and that could be almost as bad...*
((There's more guys but this has gotten really long so I decided to break it up, I'll post the rest later today probably.
What have I gotten myself into? :p))
