Chad

"What was that? I think I heard something!"

"A rescue attempt perhaps?"

"wake him up!"

Chad mind began waking up, but he could not move his muscles. His body wasn't in pain anymore. At first he thought it might be sleep paralysis, where the mind wakes up before the body does. He was wrong.

<I have found nothing noticably abnormal in your brain that would allow you to perform telekinesis.>

<A Yeerk?>

<Yes. I am Odrett. Your new master.>

<No thanks I'm forcing you out.> Chad attempted to force the Yeerk out of his body, but he couldn't get his power to work.

<I control every part of your being. Including your powers.>

Odrett got up, and got his barings. The other controllers asked him to investigate the noise, so he went to the stairs and began going up.

Sierra

Sierra smiled.  "Thank you.  And they say chivalry is dead."  She rolled her eyes and walked through the door.

Cody went after her. He projected a gravity well round her to last twenty minutes. THen, he crushed a taxxon. Its guts spilt all over the stairs. They continued down. A hork-bajir shot at him. He deflected it and threw a ball of gravity at him. It crushed hole through him. Continuing down the stars, he saw someone.

"Chad! We've come to get you out. But how did you escape?"

Chad

"Escape? I'm still in the building." Odrett said. Chad tried his hardest to warn them that they were too late. That they should run. "Is it just you two? Are there others here?" He said as he continued up the stairs.

<Once I am sixteen feet away from Sierra, I will be as close as possible, but still out of her range. She won't know it's too late until I take Cody down. Just a little farther.>

<No!>

 He Hid himself in the cave rafters. This was not going good if Chad was now a controller he would have to find some other way of distraction. He had to keep consentrating or his Mental Stealth would wear off. As long as he consentrated, the minds around him even psychic minds would not be able to percieve him. He would wait then strike when he was needed. Wait.

Headmistress
"<Cody is a controller watch out you guys. He is not going to be easy.>" the thought speak ranged to Sierra and the twins.

Sierra

Sierra received the headmistress's message.  She didn't react at all.  Instead, she did something Chad, and therefore the yeerk wouldn't expect.  She squealed like a fangirl, and ran at Chad.  "Chad!  We missed you!"  She was almost instantly in range.  Lunging at Chad, she tackled him.  "Don't do anything without my order."  She said, forcing her power onto Chad and the yeerk.

Chad

Odrett expected caution. He expected suspicion. He did not expect Sierra to lunge at him. Now she was on him, and had given her an order. He was confused and bewildered.

"Uh...ok. But...but...why?"

Chad was silent. Being a psychic, he was less effected by the power. He didn't want to ruin it, by talking, though. Let the Yeerk be confused. Just as long as he could get out of there.

<Does she suspect anything, or is she just being pushy?>

<If I knew how to do a mental shrug, I'd be doing it right now.>

Cody eyed Sierra strangely.

"Um, we don't have time to attack each other. We've got get out off here before it to late."

"Yeah, let's go before they come back." Odrett said. He couldn't seem to move up the stairs, though. <Annoying powers, Sierra has. If she can't be infested, she'll just have to be killed. I will make my move, somehow. Perhaps I'll even be able to use her to my advantage.>

He leaned a bit on Sierra's shoulders. "I just want to tell you how stupid I was back there. And how grateful I am that you came to save me. will you forgive me, Sierra?" He said with a crack in his voice.

<That's not even like me.>

<Oh, don't you remember crying for help before blacking out? Try not to act so tough to your master, when he can read your every thought.>

Cody said.

"Chad, how did you get out of where ever they were holding you?" As he spoke he moved upstairs, motioning them to follow.

Sierra

Sierra rolled her eyes.  She knew for herself that Chad was infested.  She noticed the jerky motions; the yeerk was having difficulty fighting Chad and her order.  She helped Chad up.  "Let's go.  We can talk more when we get back."  She was careful not to let Chad get more than a few feet away from her.  She wasn't an idiot.

He could barley keep himself from laughing. This was just too hillarious. This was almost as good as the time he pretened to be a shark (actually it was just a fin).
Thank goodness he had the brians to set the marble to destroy entire the computer system as well.
 As soon as the door closed took off his ninja uniform and went out. He decided to put the retractable quarterstaff, something clive lent him, up his sleeve.

Hopfully the twins and Sierra would recognise him if he had to suddenly kick Chad's butt. "Though most likley" he thought, "I'll be blasted into freaking oblivion."

The Headmistress
Meanwhile the headmistress was attempting to confort Rory and attempted to make conversation. "So, what is on your mind?" the headmistress asked. Of course the headmistress knew perfectly well what was on her mind in fact she found it hard to ask questions without knowing the ansewer. When thoughts come before words conversation was tiring.

"What did you do?"  She said angrily.  "What could have possibly possessed you to send children out to fight the yeerks.  I know what they can do, I should.  But you can't tell me you thought this was a good idea.  These are kids.  And That's not the only thing."  She took a deep breath.  "I assume you all have the little weird abilities like Acre did.  So why couldn't anyone notice he had another mind living in his head.  Nobody noticed Merlin or anybody else in his brain.  Of all the things to happen, he gets shot right after helping me.  Someone must have seen me.  What the hell went wrong?"  She slumped into a chair.  "He was a good guy, he was even nice to the yeerk because he knew I was still in there.  Now he's dead."
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

"Acre's possessing mind was that of a former psychic who had been living more than 19 centuries in the heads of others he was an expert at hiding his presence. As for the children I send them to fight yeerks because they are the best suited. The armed forces of any country could not fight the yeerks to even half the level of what my students can do. They are mearly our first legion soon more will follow. By the way what is your last name."
