(At this point he's following mystery guy. I figured he'd hang with him for a bit, unless the guy totally brushes him off or something. I will repeat the post:)

Quote
Chad followed him, making sure they weren't followed. They came up in the woods, and he covered up the hole with stones and trees. Now that he had time to think, he wasn't sure how to introduce himself. What should he say, and what should he keep to himself?

"Nice work. You're pretty cool. You think we did lasting damage to that pool?"

(I missed that somewhere.)

Chad didn't feel like going back to the school, so he went home. He spent time with his parents, and made more tea. Then he began to plan for the next mission. Help would be good, but the others just wouldn't be a good group to count on. After resting, he went to spy on Star Interprises to see if he could find out anything. He left his suit, as it made him conspicuous.

(Okay another school day, friday starting... Now)
(This is when I shall reveal the identity of the stranger)

The students in the dueling class were often people with at least enough interest in history and physical education to allow them to take it as well as having justifable psychokinetic abilties who comprised a 15% minority of the school. The students from the first class came in ready to study techniques but then saw the note on the board. "Report to the auxillary gymnasium" the note said. When the students got there however they did not see their old teacher but one far younger and more acute. "You will not need your books or notes today." he said.

The students sat down cross leged in a semicircle around their new teacher. "Now," said the new teacher "I am Clide Worthington. I will not be like your last teacher as in the fact that we will not be using paper or pencils in this class we will be using more powerful instraments such as quaterstafs, katanas, shrikens, broadswords, shields, dirks and laser guns." The students murmered some vocaly some telepathically. laser guns? of course ninja weapons weren't used before in fact the class mostly centered on a psychic underground version of fensing used in the 16th and 17th century. But laser guns was this a joke? "Yes laser guns." he continued, "we are about to face an extraterrestrial army so naturally we should be equiped to fight what they possess." then he quickly summoned a dracon beam and fired.

"Now does anyone here know ninjutsu." one student raised his hand, Daron. He was of half arabic desent and had been in america prior to his ability much like thirty percent of the school. He was eger, ready he get to use ninjutsu to show off his ablities. He jumped up. "Right choose your weapon." Daron quickly sumoned the shirikens. The students made room and went to the sides. Clide readied his Dracon beam. "Go."

Daron quickly flung the dracon beam away then let the shirikens fly. However, Clide bent sideways and pulled out another dracon beam and shot (in a very matrix like manner). Daron went to the ground stunned. "End." Clide annonced. Daron got up grogily. "First mistake you disarm me and then disarmed yourself you could have just sent one shiriken. Second I have pockets and although the weapon is a bit large I still had one on me. Third, though this depends on your opponent's knowledge, it was easily predictable that you would throw them stright at me they are THROWING STARS afterall." though Daron was infuriated later in the class he began to see that the professor had a point.

The rest of the class consisted of the class pairing up and learning how to use the new weapons which ranged from broadswords to whips. When the first class left they knew on thing for sure. There was definatly a change in reigime.

(I would think maybe some of the characters would be in dueling class just a hint  ;) )

(Acre isn't showing up.  I need to post this for the previous day and move on for what's next.

Acre

Acre escorted her back to his apartment.  She was leading him on, and he knew it.  Another person wanted him solely for what he could do for them.  What a great feeling it was to be wanted.  That was all a lie.  Everyone had their angle for him, they all wanted him to do something for them.  The Headmistress wanted him to use his abilities to fight, his uncle wanted him to help him cheat, The twins wanted him around so they could feel good about themselves.  Even Sierra and her sister wanted something.  But he could live with most of this.  He was glad to be the whipping boy.  It helped with the pain.  For them and for him.  seven or eight years at the school and he had learned a lot.  Far more than anyone gave him credit for.  Far more than he felt necessary.  But he still couldn't control his biggest weakness.  It didn't matter.  The yeerk was playing him for a stupid teenage boy, probably to infest him or something.  He was letting her string him along like a fish on a line.
"So Galahad,"  she had begun to call him that after he had talked about his code of honor, leaving out the more important parts, "I really hope your apartment is cozy.  It's been rather cold lately."  She sidled up close to him, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Yeah it has, but don't worry.  Once the heats up, it'll be hot enough to roast marshmallows."  she smiled and he laughed.  It was all so right, so normal, he wanted to die.  He was going to do a horrible thing, and it might just push him overboard.
She was playing with his binoculars when he saw them.  The others in the group wandering a few streets down, going a separate way.  He cursed silently and threw up a special wall of air.  It bent the light, causing them to be near invisible, just vapor rising from the underground sewer systems.    Of course anyone inside could see out just fine.  He immediately turned down the next street and walked a few blocks in the other direction before he let it wear off.
"These glasses things are absolutely amazing.  And you always watch the birds?"  She asked.
"No, I watch people too, but birds aren't as boring."
"I see."  She said, thinking it over.  "But really, people are so different, how can it be boring?"
"People are all the same, so is most anything else.  It's all about what you can get from somebody else.  Helping yourself before others is the new creed.  I just hate feeling used all the time.  The only person who didn't want me for their own personal benefit was my dad, and that's just because he left a few months after I was born."
"My parents died a few years back, a car crash.  I know how you feel.  But I joined a great group for us older kids and it turned my life around."  With a slug in your head, he thought.  Pity filled him, along with anger and something he couldn't quite place.  He shrugged it off.
"Not interested now, but maybe you can tell me more inside."  They finally arrived and he let her into his apartment.  She sat down on his small couch while he turned on the heat.  She took off a few layers and got comfortable, and he cleaned up the trash lying around.
"Some bachelor pad, you live here alone?"  She asked innocently.
"No, I'm never alone.  I'm very sorry for what is about to happen."  She stood up and he turned toward her.  She bolted for the door, but he caught her in a cocoon of air, trapping her.  He lifted her up and pinned her to the wall.  She took a breath to scream, but the air around her mouth turned to liquid sludge.  "I am so sorry about this.  I wish it didn't have to be like...it is.  But I follow the commands of my master."  She stopped struggling and slowed down.  Acre's voice changed into a deeper and darker sounding one.
"Nos deus abominor vos inter nostrum famulatus."  He said.  "In case your host is one of the many fools, it means that we gods do not want your filthy kind desecrating our servants.  Even without our gifts they are useful, as well as required.  You may wonder why I'm telling you this, it's because you will die soon enough.  By this boys hand, or by my will, or maybe just from starvation.  I assume you haven't fed in two days, without it, you shall die, and I shall enjoy watching your suffering.  Whether the host continues with you is irrelevant.  I plan to send a message, as do my brethren as we remove your scum from our slaves."  He laughed loudly.
"You can't let her die."  Regular Acre said.  Whap, the sound of something hard striking flesh dully echoed in the room.  Acre was knocked backwards and it was clear that he had been hit hard in the eye.  It was darkening and beginning to swell in seconds.
"Do not contradict me ward.  Or you shall suffer more punishment than this."  The air around her mouth softened to let her speak.
"You're one of this planets false gods aren't you?  That explains so much, but why act here, why not bring us out?"  She smiled smugly.  Acre smiled and an invisible hand struck her across the face.  She coughed and looked stunned.  Then she spat at Him, spit and blood was blocked by a wall of air.
"The world is working to our ends whether it knows it or not, their rebellion furthers our cause, should they decide to rebel directly at us, well.  We'll lose many useful creatures.  He laughed and the gag of air returned.
"I'm so sorry."  Acre murmured.  Then he stood rock still for nearly 2 hours, not even breathing.  Then he collapsed.  Staggering to his feet, he walked over to Rory,  "I'm so sorry.  I think he's insane.  I don't know what he's talking about half the time but I can't bear to see any woman suffering.  I'm not as strong without him but I can maybe free you.  He'll kill you if you don't run.  I know it.  He closed his eyes and focused on the invisible bars holding her to the wall.  Then he looked surprised.
"What did I say?"  The voice said angrily.
"I'm sorry, I was just going to help her get more comfortable.  I wouldn't set her free."  Acre was lifted up by the neck and launched face first into the wall.  It hurt worse than he had meant it too, but it was a good pain, something he deserved.  He had broken his nose at the very least.  Then he had an epiphany.
"I will show you what defiance means."  The voice said.  Long cuts striped his arms and blood began to ooze out.  "And your fate will be worse alien."  He said to Rory.  Then Acre collapsed onto the floor and lay there supposedly unconscious for nearly 4 more hours.  He kept his blood from spilling to much, he didn't plan on death.  But his nose would need medical attention at the very least when this charade was over.  He had to plan for what he would do tomorrow, and He couldn't allow himself to sleep.  He could lose control of the air holding her.
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

Cody left the weapons class, that was something new. He murmured softly.

"They didn't have that at my old school."

Chad wasn't really sure what to look for at SI. There might be a Yeerk Pool entrance, but he didn't see much point in going down there now. He snuck around and managed to get into a computer that was already on. Not that he was a computer whiz or anything, but he may find other information. He also looked around for suspicious disks or other things. The worker came from his break, but was discreetly knocked out before he saw anything.

The Headmistress
The telephone rang it was a foregin call. "Ms.Bridge?" said the indian accent. "Yes, this is the head mystic I take it." The head mystic was the leader of another psychic school located in india however they were slightly more spiritual and revoulved around the trianing of the students to fight when the Dark Ones came. For this they had a satelite to detect any strange frequencies. Mostly this satelite was used by both schools to detect any psychic out bursts but that was not the case here. "You realise that thier has been another powerburst in england but this time it is far more powerful than before." the mystic continued. "You think it was one of the Dark Ones." "Yes" "You know the last time this happened it was a bomb." "We reasearched the location and it appears that the signal came from in apartment in brighton rented out to a student known as Acre." The headmistress grew worried she had only half belived it before, but acre had full controll of his powers but he did have a rough childhood was it Multiple Personality Disorder or was it really a Dark One.

(You decide acre.)

Sierra

Sierra pulled away from the headmistress's door.  Sure, it was wrong to eavesdrop, but who doesn't?  She frowned as she walked away.  Because only one half of a conversation was decipherable, Sierra determined either the headmistress was on the phone, or she was crazy.  But what was this about a head mystic?  And who were the Dark Ones?

The headmistress suddenly detected something. "<Sierra get in here.>" she said in version of her thought speak. Her "voice" was quick and sharp. She was not in a good mood.

Sierra tensed.  She had heard the headmistress.  Swearing under her breath, she trudged into the headmistress's office.  "Yeah?"

Acre

He had left her with a semi permanent flow of oxygen, to make sure she would stay unconscious but alive.  He had set it up so that if the yeerk escaped, it would fall into a bucket of ice water, some creatures go into hibernation in extreme cold so it would slow the need for kandrona in the slug.  If he was lucky, he'd have a live specimen, if he wasn't, well.  He'd have a dead slug.  He shot off through the sky at his full speed toward Taunton in Wessex.  He covered the near 240 kilometers in under three hours, completed his task, and returned before sun up.  By the time he crawled into his apartment, he was exhausted.  The power he had used to cloak himself as well as travel at such speeds had drained him.  He forced himself on though, he couldn't go to sleep just yet. He checked on Rory and evaporated the gag that was keeping her under.  While he waited for her to wake up, he checked the bucket.  inside there was a large slug.  He couldn't tell if it was dead or not, so he added more ice and put it in his small freezer.  He sat down and waited.  She awoke after about ten minutes.
"Welcome to the land of the living, and possibly the free."  He said as she opened her eyes.
     "I-I can move."
"Yes, yes you can, please don't panic, the slug is in my icebox."
     "So you won't kill it?"
"I was right then, the cold puts them in hibernation."  He muttered.  "I hope I didn't cause you too much distress or pain.  It wasn't my goal, or my choice."
"I noticed, you should get that nose looked at.  But won't he get mad when he comes back?"  She looked around, scared that the thought might bring him back.
"He's gone for now.  He's not a big fan of the day time.  In either case, he has the slug, and I'll be the one to take the flak for it.  He won't kill me.  Only one in several billion can allow him to have direct access without destroying their bodies.  They come along when problems need solving.  I'm just the next in line."
"But, there aren't even that many people around.  When does he do it?"  He lasts through time, he's almost a god.  You have to remember that.  Though he had a start I think.  I'm pretty sure that he was Myrddin, or Merlin.  From King Arthur and all that."
"But that's just a legend."  She said.
"Apparently not.  So I guess I'm his new protege, I'm the next Merlin, or the next Arthur.  I dunno.  He's used a bunch of other people, most weren't as noble as me.  Rasputin for one, though it seems a little soon for a new one.  In either case, each person he becomes changes him.  Right now he's a real pain, but my code is hopefully bringing him back.  Hopefully to as nice as he is in the legends of Arthur."
"So you're taking up a code to change him?"
"No, this was always my code.  I tried not to lie to you, but you were-"
"I was one of them.  I understand.  But you've saved me, and I owe you more than I can pay."
"I don't do this for pay, another part of my code.  In either case, I don't know what to do now.  I need rest, but I can't have you here.  I also can't have you seen outside.  I need to have you stay with somebody."  He picked up a piece of paper and wrote down a few directions.  "These are directions to a friend of mine.  No, she's at school or the hospital, that won't work."  He tossed the paper aside and wrote out new directions.  "I lied to you about the school.  Forgive me, but it might be the safest place.  They'll know you're there but ask for Jane Bridge the headmistress.  Tell her I sent you and show her this.  I figure she knows it by now."  He pulled out a feather.  "I'm going to make you invisible but it won't last more than 15 minutes.  If you run fast, you can make it, take the slug too.  It'll help."  He slumped over on the couch.
"What about you?"  Rory asked hesitantly.
"If this doesn't kill me, I'm going to pass out for a few hours, maybe days if I d overestimate myself.  It's happened before, so please forget about me.  Tell everyone that if I'm not back in a week, I'm dead.  They can look for my body.  But I'll be ok."
"You saved me, I can't leave you here to die."
"You won't, he'll deal with me.  You have to promise to wait a week.  Promise it."
"Fine, but let me help you."
"I don't see how you can."  Acre muttered, he slowly laid down.
"I know some basic medicine.  I wanted to be a nurse before it all went bad."  She helped him elevate his head.  "If you aren't careful, the nose will kill you.  Forget about Merlin."
"I never said his name was-"  He yelped in pain as she straightened his nose back into place.  "****, what the hell.  That was blo*** awful.  Why'd you go and do that?"
"To fix your nose.  You don't want a bent nose forever.  Now do what you're going to do, and I'll be off."  Acre cursed and used the last bit of power he had to make her for the most part, invisible.  Then he passed out.

Rory

She shut the door and took off at a dead run.  After the training she had done she was faster than most.  Following the instructions and avoiding people who might recognize her, she was able to make it to the campus in 12 minutes. Which was good.  Because Acre's power had gone out at nine.  She ran through the gates.  The school day had started so the grounds were mostly empty.  She decided to try the front door.  She hadn't heard of this school before, but she didn't get out too much.  Entering through the front doors, she realized she had no idea who to ask for help, or where to find the Headmistress of the school.  So she began to follow class numbers.  Hopefully, she'd see the plaque or a map soon enough.

The Headmistress
"Sierra, you have already overheard much so I guess I should tell you... During the first and second century a network of psychics was forming of course that is basic history. This network spaned throughout Europe, Asia and Africa. There is almost at least one school for each continent. Anyway teachings back then were done from master to apprentice, not by a higher education, much like the jedi in star wars in fact that was one of the results of a info leak in 1970.
Some of the students in the roman empire, a group of eight rouges decided that they would destroy the gods and rule themselves or at least join their ranks to help restore an order to the world. Later they scaled Mt. Olympus. They did not find anything accept what you would see, snow and ice they came to decide that the gods deserted Mt.Olympus years ago and that they needed to take there place and restore order so they sought the path to immortality.

This lead them down a dark road they soon became arrogant and stubborn. After many years of experimenting and theory during which many were killed and were exiled from the psychic community they found a way to immbune themselves as inteligences without bodies like ghosts they called this theometamorphisis literaly translated means god transformation. Then one decided to test the power of this theometamorphisis he killed himself and transfered his mind into that of his master.

The others congradualted him and tried it themselves and it worked in there new bodies. However the master was horrified by this and when his student was caught offguard he unleashed a powerful blast of mental energy killing, himself and two of the rouges. The others were impacted and thus they were weakened and sought the earth for bodies especially those of psychics.

I had never believed this tale myself but it appears that it is true"
