They arrived. One knocked on the front door while the other ringed the doorbell. The two boys checked their hair, making sure they looked exactly the same before waiting for a response.

The earth beneath the ground shifted a bit, as they waited and the ambient temperature grew colder.

Ryan and Hector exercised their abilities a bit while they waited.

Sierra

Sierra sighed when somebody knocked at the front door and rang the bell.  Overkill much?  "I'll be right back Cara."  She turned and her fake smile fell off her face.  She walked slowly toward the door and yanked it open.  "What."  The way she said it, it sounded more like a statement than a question.

Ryan and Hector

"Sierra wanna go hang out with us?" They chorused. "We want to play with you."

They were one to play tricks and sometimes good company at times. Others times not so.

Ryan stood on his tiptoes. "Whose the other one?" He didn't recall Sierra having a sibling. "She could be a significant other." Hector offered, their limited ability to read minds very limited.

Sierra

Sierra looked back.  Cara had gotten up.  Sierra rolled her eyes.  "Cara, you really should stay in bed."  To the twins she said "She's my sister.  She's...not well."  It was Cara's turn to roll her eyes.  "By not well, she means I have cancer.  And besides, Sierra.  I'm dying anyways.  Might as well have some fun while I've got time."  The pleading look Cara gave her broke Sierra.  "Ryan, Hector.  Is it ok if my sister hangs out with you?  I really can't and,"  She lowered her voice so Cara couldn't hear her "it would mean a lot to her."  For once, Sierra's eyes were pleading.  The look was there briefly, but quickly gone.

"Well..." The twins looked at each other before nodding. Ryan leaned in. "You owe us."

Hector waved at Cara. He leaned in as well. "Does she know?"  The ambient temperature dropped a bit more where the trio were standing.

Sierra

Sierra sighed.  She hated owing people.  But it was her sister.  Sierra felt the temperature drop, and shivered, wrapping her arms around herself.  "She knows."  Sierra gave no further explanation.  As she and her sister passed one another she whispered under her breath "Be careful.  They're tricksters"  Cara grinned "I can handle them."

(Doesn't really matter.  Movie, park, theatre, whatever.  The sister doesn't get out much, so she won't care)

Ryan and Hector

Ryan and Hector smiled pleasantly at Cara. "You're far more pleasant to the eyes than your dear sister."

Ryan coughed. "So, where do you wanna go? Want to play in the snow?" He thought about snowboarding. "Or we can do something mundane like....kill moles or something." Crush them in their little holes.

Hector elbowed Ryan. "Ignore the idiot. What do you want to do?"

(Huh.  I guess I have to be Cara as well.)
Cara (Sierra's sister)

Cara laughed at the antics of the two.  Though she was a bit nervous about Hector's...or was it Ryan's? comment about killing moles.  "Well...I don't know."  The two weren't looking at her, so she surreptitiously gathered a fistful of snow.  "I suppose we could have a snowball fight."  With that, she hit one of the twins in the head with the snow.

The snowball caught Hector in the face, tipping him over on his back on the ground. Ryan giggled inappropriately before making a motion with his hand, the earth shook and the snow on the roof cracked and fell on Cara. She got covered.

Hector sat up, brushing the snow off. "Aw, that was mean." He pouted and let the snow freeze, esaling her in the snow. It wasn't that dangerous.

Acre

Acre stopped walking and looked down.  He was a few hundred feet up, and he was starting to take notice.  "Should have worn a coat."  He muttered as he began to shiver.  He sat down, hardening air into a stool, and used it to carry him through the air at a walking pace.  "Bet the birds never get cold."  He said and looked to see where they had gone.  "Strange, he said when he discovered they had disappeared.  "I suppose today's agenda is people watching."  He began looking at at the people walking around through his binoculars.  Just trying to pass the time.

Cara

Cara slipped on the ice, laughing.  "So, let me guess."  She points to Hector "Ice,"  she moved her finger to Ryan "and Earth.  Am I right?"

Ryan and Hector

The twins nodded, slightly put out by how fast she found out. "It's kinda weird that we're twins but we got different MO."

Ryan grabbed Cara, pulling her up. "You're pretty smart to notice." He was sure that his wrist movement was minuscule. And he was sure he didn't make the earth rumble. Hector grumbled, still brushing the snow off his clothes. He wrapped his arm around Ryan's shoulder, leaning on him. "So can you do anything interesting?"

Cara

Cara sighed.  "Well...it's complicated.  I mean, it isn't anything like you guys or my sister or whatever, but...I can sort of see auras.  Just out of the corner of my eye, and it doesn't really do anything.  For example, Hector, yours is tinged silvery-blue.  Icy.  And Ryan, yours is tinged brown and green.  Earthy.  Not that useful, but I can tell when someone is experiencing an extreme emotion.   Kind of cool, I guess."

The twins looked at each other before frowning.

"Cara, sister of Sierra, have you ever seen double auras?" Yeerk would have one, then the host would have one.

If their theory on what she sees is correct.

Cara

Cara grinned.  In a lowered voice she said "You're thinking of the yeerks.  That isn't quite what it's like.  I can only see human auras, so they don't show up.  As opposed to being a double aura, there isn't one at all.  I assume that the auras originate in the brain, and since the yeerks don't have a visible one to me, and the human brain is overpowered....  But I can't be sure.  I don't always see auras.  They kind of flicker.  I wouldn't be able to help with the battle anyways, though."
