This is not embarrassing, just a fun encounter...

I found out that my Norwegian textbook from school had a translated chapter from Animorphs in it!  :o
It was chapter 1 from Marco's first book, so not much from the actual plot there.

What was it there for?

For reading. It's a reading book. ::)

It even had some tasks related to it.

EDIT: I've now got the book and translated the tasks.
1. What special ability does Marco have in this chapter from The Discovery?
2. What's the "thanks" Marco gets for helping that old man?
3. What does Marco mean by saying that "I'm not exactly Arnold Schwarzenegger"?
4. How do you understand the term "doing a morph" in the text about Marco?
5. Why does Marco say in the end that everyone should care about their own things?
6. What's so fascinating about stories where the humans are turning into animals, do you think?
Task 7 and 8 are boring language-related tasks.
9. Imagine that you and a few classmates could turn into any animal possible. Write a story where you get lots of fun with that ability. ( Sounds like a fanfic to me. :D)
10. In the next chapter of The Discovery we get to know that a boy named Tobias, who's forever turned into a bird, more closely a red-tailed hawk. He forgot turning back to human within two hours, and that's why he has to live in a bird's body the rest of his life. Write about what happened when Tobias got trapped as a red-tailed hawk.
11. Find out as much as possible about the book series Animorphs, so you can hold a mini-presentation for your class.

In other words, most of these tasks would be easy-peasy for us RAFians, right?
I wonder how many Jake Berensons there are XD

There IS a Jake Berenson fan page and I'm like the only person "liking" it!

I look at different green things and think to myself, That shade could work for Andalite eyes.

Same goes for gold and amber since Semeir(my character, anyway) has golden-hued eyes. I think Andalite eyes can vary between shades of gold all the way to almost blue, though pure blue would be rare. There's also a ship's captain in one of my in-progress works who has a genetic rarity--his main eyes are one shade of green and his stalk eyes are another, he has the eye colors of both his parents. :) His name is Rubliss.

I tend to describe females being more into the gold area in terms of eye color, but a lot still have green eyes and some males might have gold. It's just more common for green = male and gold = female.

Hehe!

It seems more like I think of a general tailfight, not really anybody specific. Would it still fit?

A documentary on Saltwater Crocodiles came on tv today, and I was instantly watching it... One of my characters in an Animorphs RP is a Saltie. I didn't tell anyone why I was suddenly so interested....

Trying to explain to my Uncle why I am reading a book with a girl in a swimsuit on the cover (Number 32)

It's always great when you go to the local mall and get yelled at for staring because you are trying just a little to hard to determine if the the girl in the corner really could fit the description of cassie.
Meh.

I saw my little brother kill a fly, and I started to say "Hey--" because I was just thinking about the Animorph book where they morphed flies.

But I think it won't matter because we're sending her into hiding.

(You guys totally trashed this poor thread) As far as embarrassing animorphs encounters go, the looks on my friends faces when I get to talking about the Ani's and why the books are great always leaves me laughing with red cheeks of embarrassment.
Meh.

Just today, I heard somebody comment about having a mole removed, and I said, "Yeah, I need that like I need a slug in my head." lol
