Gordon Lightfoot's "If you could read my mind."
"You won't read that book again because the ending is just too hard to take."
Until then we fight.

^ Aw  :'(

I usually don't listen to music while reading (to "stay in the zone", so to speak), but if I read a sad part (or re-read a sad part), I will blast some music to cry to. I think I'm weird like that, but I love to cry, haha.
Harry Potter. Lost. Animorphs. Supernatural. Eragon. Psych.

Well, its not so much the story thats sad but the ending itself. Knowing its the end means that once you read it, thats it, its done. Thats the trouble with book series, the attachment to the characters. After all, you probably spent more time of your life reading the books than talking to your closest friends.
Until then we fight.

I totally loved Linkin Park back in the day and listened to that while reading the final story arc. Kind of ashamed of that now.

Not sure what I would listen to now, but I've been working on adding a soundtrack to this movie I made that has some themes similar to Animorphs, what with the paranoia and overarching conspiracy, and I've mostly been using Nine Inch Nails and excerpts from the film scores of Jerry Bruckheimer / Michael Bay movies.  ;)

Oooh, I've done that. All sorts of song lyrics would catch my ear, and I'd sit and think about Animorphs after hearing it.

I think one song I associate with the series is "Tension" by Avenged Sevenfold. It really captures the stress and responsibility they all felt, I think.
Hopefully I'll bleed lava otherwise life's not worth living.

I know what you mean, sometimes I'll listen to a song and think, "Wow, this really reminds of that book I read"

As for as music while reading, usually not because the lyrics in the music take my mind of the pages in the book. I can read with background noise, but usually I prefer quiet, but if I want music while reading its usually something long with no or minimal lyrics.

What does it mean to be free?

When ever I hear a song and think "That would go great as the soundtrack for a book." Its always animorphs.
