I was just thinking of book 7. Remember how there was a showing of a possible future? One without Ax? Well this is the series from book 4 to book 23 without Ax. Unfortunately.
My name is Aximili, and I am in the dome ship. I am crying out to my brother Elfangor in thought speak, but it isn't working. I don't know how much longer I can hold on. The oxygen is running out in here. I might not survive much longer. As I prepare my morning ritual I noticed that there was a small leak. I knew then the truth. I was going to die. I haven't aquired any underwater morphs. Then, I saw a bright light. A searchlight!
<HELP! HELP! Here! Here! Under the water in here!> But then I saw what was there. Yeerks. They were going to get me. They were so close! I ran around, trying to find a place to hide. There was nowhere to hide. Visser Three was going to get me and either kill me, or make a second Abomanation. Or, I could drown or use my tail blade upon my self. Drowning sounded easier. So, I prepared to jump out into the unknown waters, into death. I took a deep breath. And I opened the airlock. Then, I died.
My name is Cassie. I kept having dreams of the sea calling to me. They have stopped. But last night, the dream changed. There was an Andalite, younger that Elfangor. He was in some kind of a park under the water. He was Elfangor's brother. I don't know how i knew but I did. He was saying sorry to his brother for doing what he was about to do. He was about to drown himself. It was either that or Visser Three. I jumped out of bed and morphed owl as fast as I could. I then flew at top speed to the beach. There, floating in the water, was a single Andalite body. I went home, demorphed, and cried. I cried for about an hour then called the others. I told them what happened. When I talked to Rachel she said that Tobias told her that he had been having dreams very similar. I went over to visit him.
"Tobias? Are you here?" I called through the forest. A hawk swooped over.
<What is it Cassie?> He asked.
"I've been having these dreams about the sea calling to me. Rachel told me so have you, but last night, it changed. Yu know what it was, don't you?"
<It was about Elfangor's brother apologizing for what he was about to do.>
"I woke up in a fright from that dream, morphed seagull, and flew over to the beach. Do you want to know what I saw?"
<I did the same, minus the morphing. I thought I saw a seagull there. But the thing that reeally caught my attention was the body. The Andalite body. Oh man, Cassie, I think we should've listened to our dreams.>
Sorry to all of you Ax fans, and thank you Terenia for having a good idea for the possible future in which Ax wasn't saved.
