When did you know it wasn't Rachel?
« on: March 17, 2012, 04:53:50 PM »
In the Seperation when did you guess that there was two Rachels? :3
I think it was just after she and Tobias had the flight together, wasn't it the mall bit...? It was just before Rachel cried that it dawned on me what was going on. I'd read the blurb a couple of weeks before buying the book so I didn't quite remember all of it x3

I was surprised when Rachel nearly cried at the beach in the first place I was just like, "Hm. Guess Rach' finally snapped. She has a soft side! :'D" then when she went crazy with Tobias I thought she had just lost control of the morph.

Then again with the random swapped personalities, how she was going on about killing Bailey and then being all sweet, had no idea what was going on XD Perhaps Rachel had gone bipolar? *By the way, I mean NO offence by that! :)*

The last thing I noticed before it hit was Rachel saying "like" all the time, though I figured the ghostwriter had just played about a bit with her character  :o xD

I only knew when mean Rachel went in the room  XP
At first I thought that that was the same Rachel doing different things, and a ghost writer TOTALLY messed her up. And when nice Rachel demorphed (or mean, I forgot which one) I was like 'but, didn't Rachel already demorph?' But then when mean Rachel went in the barn, I was like 'Ooooh...' and when I finished the book, I went back and noticed that there were two since she demorphed and that it wasn't a ghost writer that wrote the book.

....I remembered the summary, so I knew right away. Also, it had been a topic that had been asked to K. A. Applegate about a gazillion times, and I watched the "Ask K. A." part of Scholastic's website almost religiously, so it was one of those "OMG, they're doing a fan suggestion book!" moments.

pretty much as soon as the shovel came down.  people being split into good and evil is a pretty common trope, and i had seen it multiple times before then.

Rachel gets cut in half.

"Oh... right... starfish can bud. They're doing a good-n-evil-half thing aren't they? Dammit."
