New icons?!

Who made all of these new icons?

:ketran: :shredder2: :iskoort: :skritship: :howler: :helmacron: :dracon2: :leeran: :nesk: :mortron: :mercora: :kandrona: :asteroid: :arn: :valeek:

I like most of them, but a few of them clash (inevitably) with my preconceived picture of what these species should look like (in part thanks to Monster-Man-08). Overall, great work to whoever made them. Richard?

For example, the Leeran doesn't look enough like a frog, and I didn't think the Arn were orange. I thought the Kandrona was more of a pink crystal-like thing. The rest of those icons are great artistic liscence, going by what the books give us.

These are cool and all, but lol I have no idea what half of them are supposed to be. Especially that angel/fairy-looking one and that sphinx-looking one. Maybe it's just late though and I can't remember the book descriptions of some of the aliens that well tonight :/

DinosaurNothlit made the majority of them. Isn't she amazingly talented? :) If you have suggestions, let her know in the thread Steph cited in the post above.

Yes, as Marie said, I made most of those (except the dracon and shredder, which are Myitt's (although I did make a dracon and shredder, too, but mine are hidden icons ;))).  To answer the comments, yes, I know the Arn aren't always orange, but given that they are described to come in every color of the rainbow, they could be orange if one of 'em felt like it.  And if you look at book 7, the Kandrona is actually described as a metallic cylinder that tapers at both ends.  And just out of curiosity, what is it about the Leeran that doesn't look froglike enough?  Do you think it's the face, or the pose?

Anyway, please bring your comments to the thread that Steph already linked to but which I am linking to again in case you missed it.  The Venber, Drode, and Crayak are just a few examples of icons that are Coming Soon, so please look at them and comment because it's a lot easier to fix any mistakes now than it is after they're finished.

By the way, 11:11, the fairy-looking one is a Ketran (we were given so little to go on from the books that I had to fill in the blanks as best I could, so I realize my interpretation of Ketrans probably differs wildly from anyone else's), and the sphinx-like one is an Arn.
