Question about morphing.
« on: February 24, 2009, 07:26:54 PM »
Do morphs age?

I've always wondered whether, for example, Tobias human morph grew older as he did (which wouldn't make sense to me, but I'm asking anyway), or it still looked the same as it did when he acquired it.

Morphs only age while you are in the morph. However, when you demorph and remorph the animal you are morphing it at the time of acquisition, so the aging is reversed. That's why nothlits continue to age according to the normal sequence of the species, but your fly morph that you continue to re-use doesn't die after seven days of 'morph time'.

That's also why if you wanted a lion cub and a lion morph you would have to acquire both a cub and a full-grown lion (or any other species).

yup.
it only ages while you're in morph (which is why nothlits still age).

i've wondered, if you're in morph does your body still age at the same time? i'm assuming yes, but that would be an awesome loophole to live longer. :)

I thinkt hat morphed bodies do not age, and your original form does, even when in morph. So Tobias contiuned to age when he was a human, but as soo as he got Nothlit'd his hawk form started aging and his Human body paused. If Tobias were to morph a human now, he would probably still be 16.

well they were 13 at the beginning, and 16 at the end...

I don't think so. the human-tobias morph tobias has is the one of his 13 self. since morphs don't age when not in use, it would still be 13 if he morphed it...

Oh yeah, 13. I forgot. 13 at the beginning, 16 at the end, 19/20 at the very end.

but that's because he trapped himself permanently in the andalite morph, cuz his hawk body would've died by then...

besides, book 41 isn't that good a place to get facts from because in the end, it's all sort of a dream...

I'm not sure where it said the gorilla morph aged though...
