How would I go about changing my username?

there's probably just a little button somewhere I just didn't see...

On the menu bar along the top, click 'Profile'

On the left side underneath Modify Profile, click 'Account Related Settings'

There you can change your name :)

I've tried that, but I can't change my username from there. It says I can only change my password and secret question. The username is just there on the page.

Ohhh, right.  I don't think you're allowed to change your username until you reach Sr. member.
