Maybe kids these days would like it too,
All the cultural references are so old though...

oh yeah. you're right....they may be best as vintage humor.

who knows, maybe they'll be a trend in a few  years of kids digging up 90's trends and fads.

The generations do seem to circle through. :) Remember the big re-emergence of the 80's a few years back? Lots of Care Bears and Smurfs and other classics.

It would be interesting if Animorphs was re-released, only with the references and jokes and whatnot modernized.

I can't really think of anything thats too vintage. I mean, we still have Cinnabons.
Until then we fight.

I wish they would do something like that but there isn't a market for it anymore.
I know!  Now all the kids are into wand-wielding brats and emo vampires that don't even die in sunlight.  What is this world coming to?

I suppose the "emo vampires that don't even die in sunlight" are the Twilight vampires ;) But who are the "want-wielding brats"?

This is really old thread (sorry) but I felt like I should respond. While I don't know many other people my age who read the series, I personally love it. I don't always get the 90's cultural references, I feel like it doesn't take away from the overall experience of the books. I mean we read Animorphs for the cool sifi and characters, not the pop culture references.

Lol, reading that post is kind of funny. Especially since now the Twilight craze died and has been dead for a while. I remember when that was popular back in 4th grade. :P Those were the stupid days...

uh...how to put this. the narrator will be voiced by whoever narrates the book. so if it's a jake, the narrator will be said by whoever plays jake. Spoken words (and thought speak) will be by whoever said it. so if Rachel said something, it will be said by the person who plays rachel.

How will the Ax reader simulate thought speak?

With an echo sound effect. That was they did in the TV show.
