Animorphs ending
« on: September 26, 2011, 12:48:17 PM »
I think that the ending of the series is really sad.
:( I hate to think that Rachel died in the end but I admired her courage even at the brink of death. Jake and Cassie didn't have the chance to be together again and Tobias blames Jake for Rachel's death..I think the only one who got a happy ending is Marco....but it was short-lived because they have to rescue their alien friend from another enemy...what a cliff-hanger. The start of the series is really fun to read but it got all too serious in the end. Great book series, though.  :kitty:
This really belongs on the Animorphs board. Also, you might really want to put your post in spoilers. Not everyone here has read the ending.

There have been so many threads of this that I don't think one spoiler alert would make a difference.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree.

some people liked it, and some people didn't Others grew to like it more over time. It was dark, and some people praise it and defend it because it would be silly for the ending to be all happy happy joy joy. Forgetting the fact that there is an area between And The All Lived Happily Ever After,
and a bolivian army ending where most of them likely wind up dead. Sure you could say maybe they survived, but I don't really see how. Who was going to rescue them? Elfangor lived through the same stunt because there was a dome Ship right there.[/spolier]

I've already ranted enough about the ending, so I'll just say there was very little I actually liked about it.

I think there are variables based on how much damage was sustained when the two ships hit...if the ship wasn't fatally damaged, someone *could* maybe have eventually got to them, but then again, the other guy probably wouldn't just stand there...so, IDK.
