Ellimist

I read the EC the other day, Ketran's don't seem to be vastly intelligent right? So how exactly did the Ellimist have the technology to amalgamate all those machines and compartmentalise himself. Was it only cos of his interactions with Father?

I think that was a huge part of it. Through his interactions with Father he was able to absorb the intelligences an strengths of hundreds of species. He could put that to work when it came to building himself into the machine-ship-version of Ellimist.

I actually thought that the Ketran's were pretty intelligent, I mean after all they were capable of space travel and they had that sophisticated net thing going on, I mean they definitely werent stupid or dim. But yes I do believe that the vast majority of his intelligence and power came from his interactions with Father

I thought it was a sad story all-around. Imagine your whole race dying! Yea, I think the Father was repsonsible for all the power the Elimist got. Though I wonder why The Father never did the same thing the Elimist did?

It's outright stated that he has the intelligence of all the minds he absorbed from Father. So yeah, that's it.

Wasn't Father the size of a moon? He would need a pretty big ship to leave. Even if he could, why would he want to? He did a pretty good job luring all the other aliens there
