Can't get into any other book series

Have any of you ever had this problem since reading the Animorphs series? I just can't seem to apply myself to any other book series. I just finished the Animorphs series for the second time and I tried to get into the Remnants series, but in my head I'm just like "it's not Jake or Rachel or Ax, etc." I'm so used to them as character's and I absolutely love the way the series was written. Exciting, creative, and so much more. I was just curious if I'm the only one out there that's having this problem.

I did get very used to the monthly stuff. I just don't really get how one person can write a 150+ page book a month, and some writers take a year to write a 600+ page book. Like the Ice and Fire series. Shouldn't those books be coming out at least twice a year? I guess it's all about how much time and motivation you have.

As far as characters, there are books with characters that are similar to the anis.
