Title: Getting rid of some older stuff
Post by: Darth Zakryn on November 25, 2011, 07:20:36 PM

I know, I must sound like a hypocrite after being gone for long periods at a time, but I always came back at some point. How many members do we have who never come back? For that matter, we also have a lot of really old threads. Why are they still here? I know, Animorphs is a small community, but really, if there were this many members or threads on serebii.net, for example, that never came back or were so old, they'd be gone. Well, this is just my opinion, however, as I am not one of those in charge of this website, and even if I was, I'd take a vote on it first. Remember, kids: Popular rule is not democracy. :P

I see no benefit in removing inactive members or threads.

Also, Richard, don't you clean out some of the inactive lurkers every year anyhow? Members with 0 posts that haven't logged in in quite some time?

Also, it's damn good you don't delete topics that are passed a certain time; and I thank you greatly. After being gone for 10 months, a lot of my favorite threads were almost a year old. I was able to track them down and revive 'em.

Yes, I remove members who have never posted after years of inactivity. That's not what Zakryn was suggesting, though.

I was actually talking about the stuff that had zero replies and were years old.
