Title: What did Marco's father do?

I never really understood what his job was.

Was he a computer programmer? An engineer? An astronomer?

And wasn't he working as a janitor due to his grief in the early books but suddenly he was working in an observatory in The Alien?

He is said to be an electrical engineer, but I'm no expert on what exactly that means. Obviously it involved science and computers for a lot of his work. I don't think he was directly involved in astronomy, he was just helping to design the computer software being used in a radio telescope.

He was working odd jobs (packing boxes or being a janitor, etc.) until the end of book 5, which was the 2 year anniversary of his wife's "death." He then told Marco that he had finally decided to stop grieving and move on with his life and starting working again.

Too bad we won't see Ruby next season. Stupid budget cuts...

Yeah it's one of my favourite shows. I own the first two seasons on DVD and I watched the 3rd online. Can't wait for the 4th in September! I haven't heard anything about budget cuts though...

Anyway this is kinda off topic. Feel free to post about this in the Media board (not sure if there is a thread already or not).

We know that Rachel's dad is a weatherman or reporter, and her mother is an attorney. Cassie's dad is in charge of the Rehabilitation clinic, and her mother works at The Gardens.

I'm not sure if it ever states where Jake's parents work.

Jake's dad works as a peditrician or something...some kind of doctor in #31. and Jake says in book 1 that his mom's a writer.

I think I can give some insight on what electrical engineers do. My dad's one.  ;D

My dad says they could work with power systems or computers/radios/electronics. My dad does the latter. They program computer systems and such things.

Jake's father is a pediatrician and his mother is a freelance writer.

Rachel's mom is a lawyer but I'm not sure which kind. Public Affairs I believe. Like Eli Stone.
