This is basically Animorphs, but in 2010..
I'll be playing Marco.
People have already picked Tobias and Ax
Which leaves us needing: Rachel, Cassie, & Jake.
Yeerks, Visser Three, and parents will be required as well.
I will start when The other 4 humans are assigned.

Well, I'd like us to start around age 15(yes, granted, it's 2 years older than the Animorphs started off, but still).
It starts like it did in the books, where we go through the construction site, and Elfangor gives us the morphing power,
But everyone's still the same, Marco makes jokes, Jake has the weight of the world on his shoulders, Tom is a controller, Ax doesn't start off with us. Although there will be one thing changed:if whoever decides to play Tobias doesn't want to be trapped in morph, they don't have to...
But I'd still like to stay basically faithful to the books, but we don't have to do the exact situation, Erek King will be freeplay (unless someone wants to play him), so that will be the main source of our missions.
I'm sorry if this still isn't descriptive enough, if you need more, just ask.

What do you expect from this rp? is there a plot? how old are the Animorphs? i think it needs a little more detail for people to want to join. :)

I might enjoy being Ax, but that means I'd have to wait a bit. Unless I posted things like what happens in the dome. I might like to be Jake, but then I'd have to act like I dislike being leader.
Being Ax would be more fun, so I call Ax.

So how exactly will a different year really change things, cuz if I didn't know the year they came out, I woulda thought the normal Animorphs series took place around this time :P

It's 2010. The internet is much better, everyone has cellphones with cameras and internet access, we can take detailed close up pictures with satellites, ect. It will be way different.

Yeah, it started around 95/96, so it would. We'll have to be a lot more careful about the Yeerks.

The only big difference betweeen the 90's and now is the use of cell phones and the internet

It's been about two weeks. Do you want to start and just NPC those not accounted for until we get more people, or keep waiting?

The setting is the same. California. We're just pushing the date up from 1996 to 2010. Everyone has cellphones with cameras and internet, and the internet is actually fast.

The dome Ship had finally made it to the blue planet's orbit where the Yeerk Pool Ship was hovering. It was no match for our dome ship, and as the pilots raced to the hanger morale was high. I had gone too to ask my brother Elfangor to let me fight, but he told me I had to wait until I was a Warrior. It hurt that I couldn't fly by his side, but I went t the Dome where Arisths were meant to go.
The Bladeship seemed to come out of nowhere. We weren't expecting it, and it dealt a decisive blow by destroying the Dome Ship before its main cannons could get a shot on it. The Dome fell into the ocean with me in it, and all I could think of was my brother's safety.

It would definitely be different. In 2010 there are surveillance cameras in restaurants, in front of fitting rooms and in zoo animal habitats. :o

I don't know if it's really going to work or not. It's been really slow and even though I think all the roles have been filled, I don't know if the volunteers are still interested.

suck. i haven't RP'd in forever! I was totally up for being Cassie or something. I think the problem is that there isn't really a Jake right now?

(Some people offered to join at points, but the RP just never gained enough momentum to get started. I'd still be willing to play Ax if we ever get everyone that volunteered together and begin.)

Well no one wanted either rachel nor cassie so u can have rachel, but i was sayin if i can talk to seal (probably anyone for that matter) i could talk her into bein cassie, however if someone steps up we can allow them to be cassie.
Or we can start and have someone else comein later and be cassie. like say cassie is off doin somethin like a vacation with her family

Slowly pulling on the brakes, Marco's bike arrived at the restraunt where the Animorphs had decided to have dinner.
Climbing off, and locking the bike, Marco ran his hand threw his hair as he looked at the sky.
So much has changed recently, He thought to himself and began walking inside.
Earlier that week they had met a dieing alien, and to top it off found out about a war raging in the galaxy. And that him and the kids with him, were the human races last chance at survival.
By touching any creature with DNA, they could replicate an EXACT copy of said species, on himself!
Putting a cheerful facade, Marco opened the door and walked in towards where his friends would sit, whom except for cassie would all arrive soon.

Rachel was sitting in the restaraunt with her cousin, Jake. They had met the dying War-Prince, Elfangor just a few days before, so they were all still pretty shaken up from the ordeal. Jake was trying to keep himself composed. Marco, who had just entered and spotted the two cousins sitting at the table, was twitching and constantly looking over his shoulder. Rachel, being the type of girl that she is, grinned and took the opportunity to insult her cousin's friend.
"Doesn't Marco look so cute today, Jake? He's shaking like a wittle kitty-cat."

Up in the sky around noon,flew a red-tailed hawk up in the thermals high above the same restaurant.But it wasn't a normal hawk as the hawk used to be a human a month ago.As a human he was sort of a dweeb he was big enough for his age,but not big enough to keep from getting picked on.But it didn't matter anymore,the hawk's name was Tobias as he flew he had a reddish like tail of long straight feathers.The rest of its back was motted dark brown.It had big shoulders that looked kind of hunched,like a football lineman ready for the snap.His head head was streamlined and his eyes were brown and goldish and fierce as it looked over its deadly weapon of its beak looking down at his city he had protected with his friends for a month now.
As Tobias looked down below him,he was checking around for any possible danger for his friends.

Cassie was sitting in the passenger's seat of her father's truck. She was staring out the window, watching the countryside zip on by. Cassie's family lived just a mile or so away from the town where her friends lived; the same town where she convenitently met a dying alien named Elfangor. He gave them the power to morph. Cassie, along with her friends Rachel, Jake, Tobias and Marco, became the Animorphs. It had only happened a week ago, but the memory was just as fresh. The way the Alien looked up at them, almost as if he were pleading. But they couldn't help him. Elfangor was killed by the vile Yeerk Commander, Visser Three.
The thought of Visser Three did more than damper her spirits. Cassie lost all interest in the scenery.
"You've been out of it all week." Her father said, concerned but making sure to keep his voice casual.
"Have I?" Cassie replied, absent-mindedly.
"Well, your mother and I have noticed things," her father said. "You've been jumpy. And you just seem to dissapear some days."
Cassie feigned a smile. She couldn't tell her father about the invasion of the Yeerk Empire. She couldn't trust anyone anymore.
"Don't worry. It's just school stuff. You know."
Her father smiled. The truck pulled up in front of the restaraunt.
"So...is it just going to be you and Jake...Or..."
"Dad!" Cassie cried, blushing. "I already told you; Jake and I are just friends"
Her father chuckled and shook his head. "Whatever you say, sweatheart."
Cassie shut the door behind her and watched her father's truck drive off. She took a moment to sigh before meeting the others inside. Hardly noticing that one of the others was already watching her.

Grinning at his friend, Marco high fived Jake.
''How you two posers doing?'' Marco said good heartedly as he spun his chair around and sat down, leaning forward on his elbows.
Suddenly his cell phone started wailing heavy metal music, from deep inside his pocket.
''Be right back. Thats probably my dad.'' He said and stood to leave, immediately noticing Cassie approaching, he muttered over his shoulder, ''Hey big man, here comes your honey bear!''
He then commensed to stepping outside and answering his phone.

Cassie spotted Marco walking towards her as she stepped into the restaraunt. She heard him say something about a bear to Jake. She instantly blushed.
Cassie walked towards the table where Rachel and Jake were seated; carefully avoiding the many waitresses and customers walking to and from tables. Cassie sat down next to Rachel, but across Jake.
"Took ya long enough." Rachel said. "We thought you weren't going to show up."
"I got held up at the barn. We have this skunk with an injured paw, and it was being a bit fussy when it came to feedig him his meds."
"No problem." Jake said. "We only just got here. Tobias has been flying around for a while, though. I don't think he's keeping track of time in morph."

Shaking his head, Marco closed his phone and returned to his friends and his seat.
''My dad just called and said he is staying late at work, so I dont have to worry about being home anytime soon.'' He said and gave a courteous nod of a greeting in Cassies direction.
Leaning forward slightly, ''So lets get down to business, and order us some tacos! Cause you know me likey tacos!'' He said but it was apparent he was tense, and reffering to what everyone was nervous about.
In a barely audible voice, ''I don't think this war is smart for us...''

"Well what would you have us do instead, genius?" Rachel snapped. "You expect us to just sit around while slugs get pushed into everyone's heads? Some of us have families, you know."

''Yeah well maybe dieing in the name of my dad, instead of being there and safe, is not my idea of something smart. Besides, where will we get morphs powerful enough to do damage? I doubt Homer is going to be enough.'' He said as he leaned back a little.

Cassie was just about to remind her friends that her mother was the head vet at the Gardens, when Rachel interrupted her.
"I don't see you coming up with any brilliant ideas. At least Cassie and Jake have morphed."

Leaning forward he sighed, ''Yeah. I know and same with Tobias. But all I know is this seems to big for a couple of...of kids!''
Turning to look at Jake, he stared in his eyes for a moment then sighed again. ''Fine. But how do we do it?''

Tobias raises higher and higher on his thermal and stays up in the air and keeping an eye on the area around where his friends where.
(If it is ok,can Tobias already be a nothlit since its been a month since that met Elfangor?)

(Because I like playing Tobias as a nothlit more.I just can never play a good Tobias when in his human form.)

It had been shocking, seeing such a proud Dome Ship be destroyed by the disgusting Yeerk Blade Ship. I had been waiting for my brother to come to me, and training to pass the time. No one was there to train, though, so I did simple exercises. every once in a while I would call out with the mirror wave signal, trying to alert my friends that I was still alive.
<Hello. Is anyone out there? It is I, Aristh Aximilli Esgarouh Isthill. I am under the sea in the Dome. Please come pick me up.> I called, more and more often as the days passed.
At one time I acquired a large predatory fish to help in my escape. I was beginning to consider venturing out on my own, but feared reprimand for doing so. Besides, the Yeerks were out there.

Turning his eyes to Cassie, Marco asked, ''Could you actually get us in though? And if so what animals do you have that can pack a punch?''

Tobias turns his tail as he rode higher into the sky as Tobias was thinking about when he was trapped a few days ago on purpose as Tobias was so tired of his life as a human that he trapped himself to get away from it all.<Clear.>Tobias reported down to his friends as he was sure they knew he was trapped,but he never asked if they did know it already.

Cassie thought for a moment. She imagined herself walking up to her mother and asking if she and her friends could just borrow some animal DNA for an important mission to the Yeerk Pool. The mere thought of talking to her mother about Yeerks was almost amusing...Almost.
Cassie shook her head. "There's no way my mom would be able to get us into the exhibits. We'd have to sneak in."

Marco tried imagining him and his friends sneaking into the exhibits, and couldnt help but chuckle, ''Smart Cass. Smart''

Ax had gotten a steady schedule going. He would spend certain times doing certain drills, feed, rest, and continue calling out for any Andalite in the area. He had actually morphed the fish a few times to get used to its mind.

Tobias flew around some more before he came down and landed on a powerline pole,as he folds his wings in and begins to preen his feathers and listens into the group's talking.

"Alright. So we do the Gardens." Rachel said, grinning. "We get in. We get some DNA. We head to the Yeerk Pool. We kick butt."
"Let's just slow down for a minute." Jake said, speaking for the FIRST TIME. "We still haven't thought of a way in. People are going to notice a bunch of kids running around all these exibits at once. It's not like they'll have golf carts avaliable to run around in. We have to be smart about this. Especially if some of the staff are Controllers."
"Jake," Marco said, pulling a face. "If we can't trust our zoo keepers, than whom, may I ask, can we trust?"
Jake ignored his friends comment and turned to Cassie. "You know the territory, Cass. What should we do?"
Cassie thought about it. She knew the entire layout of the Gardens--she'd been there enough times. But how could she get passed Zoo security?

Shooting a grin at the hawk he muttered, ''Yeah? Polly want a cracker?'' he laughs for a moment then continues, ''So when do we do this?''

Tobias grumbled some.<I'll show you who wants a cracker.>he says before ignoring it further and goes back to preening.

Days passed, and Ax became impatient. His brother had not come, and if he wouldn't come then Ax would find him. If he was able to, Elfangor would have saved him, so he must be in some sort of trouble. He morphed the fish, and left the dome, to seek out the city they had been fighting over. After swimming, demorphing, morphing back, and swimming some more, he eventually found a beach. There were some Humans there, and some might be controllers, but he managed to sneak up on a couple of sunbathers and aquire them.
Now with a new Human morph that didn't look like any particular person, he stumbled off the beach and practiced being Human.

Tobias looks from the powerline pole he was on,keeping his eyes locked on any danger that might be around,and keeping his ears open for anything that might try to sneak up on them.
