Sorry if this is explained somewhere, but I just can't find it. Just this morning I noticed this activity meter in the mini profile and I was wondering what exactly it measures to get the activity percentage.
Also, how long has it been there without me noticing?

It was just added last night. It determines how active you are in the last month - 30 days to be specific.

Also does the count start over each month? Or is it an accrued percentage?

Yikes my activity's lower than I expected! I've been so busy with RAF TAS I havent had time to post. Greeeeeat now I gotta balance things out lol

No accrual, 'activity' means posts in the last 30 days.

Ah, so for the past 30 days, cool. So it's not like this is your activity for Oct, or Nov. Gotcha. ;)

So it's saying that you've only posted once every 6.24 days over the course of the last 30 days.

so its the percent of days out of those 30 that you've posted? so the people with 100% have posted at least once a day or at least 30 times a month?
Either way great addition Rich, even tho my recent activity is just embarrassing

Yeah, it the average days you post, so if you post like mad during days 1-15 of August, then you don't post until September 16th, on the 15th of September, it'll show your activity as 0%.

It does look just a tiny bit awkward where it is, now that I think about it. Hmm.
Could it be put in the siggy somehow? It might look better there.
If not, could you try making it vertical instead of horizontal? Or maybe make it smaller? Oh, hey, is there a pie-chart option? That might look cool.

i think plaintext right below the 'posts' would look fine as well.
the gap it creates is my biggest issue with it.

Yeah, it looks a bit weird how there's no space between the bar and the avatar, so maybe it'd be better below. :)

I think it's good where it is, but there's an excess of whitespace between it and the post count, and not enough between it and the avatar. I think it'd look better if it were centered between the post count and the avatar, but that's just me.

The same thing happens to me. I think the reason is because it measures your activity over the last month. I always have 100% activity until I hit the point where the RAFparty was over a month ago. Because then those posts are subtracted. Without that huge pile of posts to bolster my activity, my bar drops like a stone no matter how much I post.
I could be wrong, but that's the pattern I've been seeing.

I guess I still don't get it. I post almost every day, most days around 5 times. I think there was only one day in the last 30 that i didn't post, yet my activity meter is down to 25.4%.
Can someone explain how it actually works?

If you made 500 posts in the past 30 days it will be 100%.
That's as specific as I can get, as it makes no further calculations.
So for example, I have a 9.6% activity... meaning I have made (9.6 / 100) * 500 = 48 posts in the last 30 days.
And again, by posts, I mean when your post count goes up. So posts in the bored board do not count, unless it's a RAF Party.

Ah, so you have to average 16+ posts per day to be considered 100% Cool.
I wonder if my bar will ever go down. My average per day posting seems to be increasing, I'm up to 30.76, and it used to be 30.5 a couple of days ago. ;D

Man, I should do that. My percentage is so low nowadays.
I think I posted over 1000 times during a RAFParty once, so it's definitely possible... xD
