Lately I've been writing poems for my story, I'll Be There for You. Here are a few of them.
One foggy night I gaze out of my window, searching for what I fear I may never find.
But she is there, my dear friend the moon, fighting against the clouds to be seen.
She calls to me, in sleep and waking moments, to join her.
I reply, "No dear sister, I must not go but someday I will join you in the sky"
One night, much like that one I gaze again searching for what I fear I may never find.
It had been many years since I saw her last, but again she calls me to her.
This time I take her hand and join her to take my place in that never ending starry sky.

The Moon
I look out of my
window and see the bright moon
Freedom in the sky

Free
Through my foggy bedroom window, I gaze at the moon.
I feel the light that reflects from it enter my heart.
It whispers a single word through many different voices.
Free.

it's titled 'V's poems'. i think it's just for her. i got yelled at a long while ago for posting in estel's thread ;)
-
Actually, it's okay if you put in your own but I would prefer if you didn't put them here. I mean, I wouldn't yell at you unless it's the morning or I'd had a bad day at school.
And thanks for the comments. I'm not usually all poetic like that. In fact, I got published in a book for the most ridiculous poem ever! Heeere it is!
I Like Pi
I like numbers, 1, 2, 3,
I like Pi, yippie!
Symmetry is really cool,
Rounding off makes me drool,
The radius is really nice,
Division is as cool as ice,
Puzzles are the best there is,
Fractions you don't want to miss.
Multiplication, addition, that's my path.
I have to go now and practice math.
There's a funny story behind that poem. I was in an advanced class (GT=gifted and talented) and we were supposed to write a poem to do with math. I wrote that and got an F because I didn't make a web and it didn't say what the things were. I submited it for a contest to be in a book, I won. Now that is ironic, I got an F and I got published.

Haha. Nice. That's really cool that you got published.
-
yeah, and I almost forgot this little piece of the story.
The other people in my school who got published got in the newspaper. My name was in it. Spelled incorrectly of course. Not one, stupid, picture. What is wrong with people theses days?

same here. i got one of mine published and my poetry project didn't get that page counted because 'it wasn't the correct format'.
