I apologize ahead of time if there's already a thread like this, can't seem to find it. Anyways, what did people think about the short tv show? Like it, hate it? About the only thing I didn't like about it was that the actors were like way older then in the book. They looked like college students, I thought they were kids in the books?

They were kids in the books. The series just didn't do justice to the books. I personally was happy with "The Capture". I was ticked at how they did "The Reaction" though. That one made me mad.
I guess they did a good job with morphing into the different animals. I was a little sad when they canceled the show...

I was happy at first, but it wore off quickly. The show really wasn't that good to me. They needed a bigger budget, and/or to be animated.

When I first watched it (while it was airing) I thought it was good, but when I rewatched it last year I thought it was terrible. The andalites were basically puppets and the only good thing was the morphing.

While the Animorphs tv show paled in comparison to the book (IMO it was more enjoyable to watch than a certain sponge or a certain obnoxious youtube star who didn't deserve his own show), it was this show that truly got me into Animorphs. So it was good in that regard, though they could have made it so much better . . . if it were animated instead of live-action? I have no idea which is more expensive, to be honest.

Since animals are involved, I can imagine animation would be cheaper. They wouldn't have to work with lame puppets, or have Visser Three spend most of his time in morph. I can appreciate if the show somehow got people to read the books.

The show started mediocre/slightly disappointing and got worse and worse.

The animation is a good idea, they need to do that. It'd probably be better then what they attempted to do. Though the show was what got me into this in the first place.
