Post by: theyoungphoenix on March 21, 2013, 01:23:51 AM
My personal favorites were #6 and MM #4.
Is anyone with me?

As a group, my favorites are 20-22.  As singles, 20, 16, and 13 are tied for me.  But 18 and MM2 deserve mention because those were the first I read and got me into the series, and even though MM2 has its problems (a lot of them), I still like it.

I liked number 48 (actually most of the Marco books are great) and the one where Tobias morphs Ax or the Taxxon. I like it when they morph aliens because it makes it feel more science fiction.

I loved most of the Marco and Ax books, as well as #16 and #29... but my personal favourite will always be Megamorphs #3 :)

Visser and the Ellimist chronicles, hands down. As far as the regular series goes, I really like the last two books, as well as the book with the beavers on the cover.

That would be #47: The Resistance.

OMG, how could I forget the Andalite and Hork-Bajir Chronicles?

I love the first book, reading the beginning of it is fun.

#47, #15 (even though it triggered the onset of my selachophobia), #19, #29, #3, #4, #18, Megamorphs 3 and 4, and all of the Chronicles. Off the top of my head and not really in any order.

My favorite books will always be:

#3: The best character piece in the entire series IMO.  The way it deals with Tobias's insecurities and his life as a nothlit is so heart felt and feels completely organic, and it hits on so many issues.

#26: Outstanding action piece, great story, and deals with the Ellimist and Crayak in a far more satisfactory way than any other story.  Love this book.

#5: Kinda the same reason as number 3.  Establishes Marco as a character and cements him as arguably the most compelling and best character in the entire story.

Andalite Chronicles: IMO head and shoulders above the other Chronicles books.  Gives us so much more interesting and relevant universe information than the other companion pieces.

I also love #19 and #29, the Aftran story arch, because it does so much to complicate the war and the universe as a whole by really showing what it is like to be a Yeerk and demonstrating that there are Yeerks who do not share the Visser's ideals.

I'm sure there are many others, but these are the ones that stand out the most to me.

False: 48 was Rachel's book. Unless you were just throwing the Marco books in there for no reason.

In 48 they go in Marco's body and the most I remembered were the bits with Marco narrating.

#13 was probably the best. I also enjoyed the David trilogy.
