Wow!
I was cruising the Guardians of Ga'Hoole website (another of my favourite books) when I noticed a link at the side for Animorphs, so I thought, "Hey, why not?"
It looks amazing!
There's quizs, new pictures, a brand new advert and everything!
Don't get me wrong, I'll miss the original site but perhaps this'll promote the books some more; we could be looking at a brand new TV Series!
Though, the new pictures they've got for the characters... Mmm... They're debateble... Nice, don't get me wrong, but for Animorphs...?

I guess most of you have already seen it, but I thought I'd post it anyway :)

Marco is supposed to be short, while Rachel is tall. The graphic depicts Marco as being within an inch of Jake's height, and taller than Rachel. Whether or not it's intended, it subtly indicates that Marco is somehow the leader or central figure of the series, which is a bit misleading, even if he does spend the series leading from over Jake's shoulder and generally having the most rational head on his shoulders of any of the human Animorphs. "Animal mode" doesn't depict their signature morphs... which is okay for now, since the new releases haven't gotten to the books involving the battle morphs in great detail, yet... so we just hope that the site metamorphoses over the series, at least enough that 'Animal mode' depicts the battle morphs, and both modes depict Aximili somehow.
Other than that, it's a nifty enough site in the sense that the quality of programming and graphics have certainly improved since the older site.

yeah, I agreed, Marco is now too tall. And I think Cassie is too well dressed.

Hm, I agree, I was too excited last night to pay much attention xD
I wondered about the animal morphs thing, seems Animorphs has a bad habit of swapping the morphs (Cassie's battle morph seeming to be a horse in the TV Series, on the front cover of MM1, Cassie's is a fly, while Jake's is a leopard... The PS1 Game seems to say that Marco's is a rhino for whatever reason, what was the problem with programming a gorilla??) Anyway, they're probably going by the covers of the old books, or had a problem with getting pictures *shrug*...
Marco... Maybe he had a growth spurt? :o
I really don't like their clothes either, I get that they're trying to keep it up-to-date but all the same. How are they going to explain that Jake and Marco play in an arcade instead of at home on an xBox? Unless they try and re-write it a little? I heard that the Famous Five books did that, but then again it really was from a long time ago (they changed shillings to pounds and so forth.)

Growth spurt? HA! Marco looks like a grown ass man! Personally, I wish they went back to his first model. The one the site had before everyone complained that he wasn't Mexican enough. Well now y'all got your Hispanic model and he looks like he could be the other models' father.

Yeah, I don't know why it had to be an either/or type thing with Marco's model...like I can understand why people had a problem with the first model, even though I thought he looked okay, but why did the one they replaced him with have to look 30 years old? Just like the TV show.

Well, I think a lot of folks are a tad uncomfortable with the ages of the Animorphs. I'd say that's the point: the whole series is about them being too darn young to save the world, but...
You gotta love moral guardians, especially when it comes to literature.
