I found this link to a video that shows how certain parasites can control the brains of grasshoppers and actually affect their behavior, making them jump into water and they end up drowning. I'm not sure if this should be in the general category, but it kind of reminded me of Yeerks, lol.
Here's the link, however if you get sick very easilly, you might not want to watch it.

I think the grasshopper parasites are called hairworms, here's a link to them crawling out of a grasshopper on youtube, it's pretty gross o.O;;

Nah I mean the zombie snails, I'm pretty sure no one posted the grasshopper worms x3 It's interesting though. And really creepy x3
I always loved that little exchange in Fight Club:
marla singer: i'll take the parasites.
jack: you can't have both the parasites, but while you take the blood parasites...
marla singer: i want brain parasites. (person at the register looks at marla)
jack: i'll take the blood parasites. but i'm gonna take the organic brain dementia, okay?
marla singer: i want that.
jack: you can't have the whole brain, that's...
marla singer: so far you have four, i only have two!
jack: okay. take both the parasites. they're yours. now we both have three...

There are always the various infections diseases that form the basis for most Zombie movies...

There are actually various parasites that live in the human brain and can actually alter human behavior (such as fear).
Such as Toxoplasma gondii which supposedly infests an estimated 50 million people in the US alone...

Interesting videos ^_^
PS: I was sure the woman on the first video had a French accent, when I heard her talking at the beginning... and I had confirmation at the end ;) Too easy to recognize the horrible French accent when we try to speak English! lol

lol, thats funny. could you imagine overhearing a conversation like that? My friends and I talk about really odd stuff sometimes. It's really funny to watch the expressions on people's faces, when they overhear only a part of what we're saying and think we must be insane. :)
