Okay, the thread's title says it all: Did you have a crush on an Animorphs character growing up, and if so, which one? Since I'm a straight guy, I've only added the female names which, admittedly, is quite low. I will leave it for another member to start the male version. ;) I voted Cassie, since she really WAS my crush growing up (one of them, anyway) and I tend to like black girls. So yeah... :P

(1). Jake in his more Badass Leader Mode at like fifteen.
(2). Chronicles or early-series Visser Three. You bet your ass. Kid Me was exactly the same person as Adult Me. Just stupider.
(3). Elfangor. What is it with the aliens? ;3

You could actually create your own thread about who you had a crush on. My hope was that someone would be inspired by this to create the male version, but if you want, I'll happy do that one too. It just seems kind of weird because of the conflict of interest... since I'm straight. :XD:

*Laughs* True, it's impossible to discuss that way. But it'd be interesting to record the crushes of the board members in general. Whether the attraction is physical or not, people are entertained by something often because it attracts them. >)

I had a crush on Cassie, but I didn't realise it until way later. (I didn't know that I liked girls back then)
There was just something very beautiful about her, I guess. Not even physically, or mentally or what, just... I dunno. The first book I read was #2, and I think it was the part where she was demorphing from Osprey and kept the wings, and looked like a weird kind of angel... That's what triggered the crush, I guess, lol.
It faded by the time the Australia book came out, though.

I'm gonna say Rachel and I'm kinda surprised to be the first one. I'll my girlfriends have been kind of, well, crazy. I'm attracted to the danger and they like me for whatever reason. I've actually dated two Rachels. Both crazy XD.

Out of the girls? Loren. She was a very strong, driven woman, but not quite as psycho as Rachel ended up. She had a good balance of determination/drive and empathy.
Aldrea was pretty awesome too, though. She's a close second.

Woot! It's great to see Cassie tied with Rachel! That's more than I could have hoped for. ;D I wonder how long it will last, though.

I liked Cassie and Aldrea. ^^ Cassie loved animals and Ive always been the same way. And...Im not really sure WHY I liked Aldrea...

For females i had a slight bit of a crush on Loren. She just sounds awesome. While I was reading AC(a year or 2 ago), I was sorta wishing that Loren or I were a male, that way it we could be together.

Definitely Cassie. I just love her personality. Plus her TV actress and new cover model are hot

While I'm straight, so it really isn't a crush, I'm gonna have to go with Aldrea. I don't know, she was just such a Bada**, I'd be besties with her in a heartbeat.
It was kind of funny, I fell in love with HBC when I first read it and thought it was like, eclipsed only by Elfangor/Loren in the list of ultimate romances.
Then I re-read it recently and I was like "Um...wow...she was kind of a b*tch. Manipulative, conniving, brutal, nasty, and pretentious to the nth degree. And Dak straight up knew it too. Why did Dak like her again?"
Even so, she was a girl that knew what she wanted and got that sh*t done. I mean, I think if you ranked characters based on pure BA, Aldrea would be number one or two (though I can't even think who number one would be, because she didn't have the villian decay that the Visser went through.)
She was part of the reason Estrid was such a huge disappointment, I mean, she turned out to be a total wimp. Ax deserved a girl like Aldrea. (IMO)
Man, the Animorphs should have let her just possess Cassie. Hmmms....*random plot bunnies spring into view*

Well, I'm straight, but if there was ONE crush I could have as a gay person, it would be Gohan from Dragon Ball Z. Hell, I had one on him growing up! Not the romantic kind, just the... inexplicable kind. :-[ Who didn't watch DBZ just wanting to BE him?
