Title: What Animals Should They Have Morphed?
Post by: wolfev on August 12, 2008, 03:14:34 PM
There are a whole lot of animals in the world. However, the animorphs could never possibly morph them all. So say what morphs you think should have been done in the series but were never.

I'd have loved to see them all morph hippopotami and swallow-tailed kites.

Nothing NOTHING flies like a swallow-tailed kite. It is one of the most beautiful things in the world, and it makes a falcon look downright clumsy.

Hippos are just plain funny, and they are VERY dangerous.

I wish they'd done the ants on the Helmacrons. God, they pissed me off. Especially on #42: The Journey.

It kinda feels lame how there were so many repetitive morphs on the auxiliary animorphs side. There were more than just the lioness, panther, rhino and all that 17 kids could have done. Reckon the Ghostwriter did a pretty slack job.

My morph wish came true when they finally got duck morphs late in the series. After all the talk of birds of prey not being good distance flyers, and having to stay so far apart to not look suspicous, why did it take so long for them to get some duck or goose morphs? Not only are they distance flyers, but they often fly in groups.

I wish Tobias had gotten an owl morph. That one seems pretty obvious as well, but I don't think he ever got one.

They did morph monkeys -- spider monkeys, I believe, -- in The Forgotten.

As for the pandas, good luck with that.  Pandas are difficult to find in the wild, and I imagine the zoo ones are pretty well guarded.  I know they had police escorts or something like that when a couple came over to America.  Unless Animal Planet's Growing Up Panda was mistaken -- or if I am.

I agree with you on most of those you named though, blue.  Well, except for scorpions perhaps.

This is off topic, but I find it funny that people care about saving Pandas. From what I heard, the reason Pandas are endangered is because they are so antisocial that they don't even get along with each other long enough to mate. If they are so screwed up that even one of the most powerful forces in nature can't get them to get along, then I think it's time to let them die.

I would love to morph a cat. Just to feel the agility and grace I have never felt as a human. ( I am not the most agile person around!) It would just be so awesome to have that feeling of confidence and never let anything scare you.

Lol, completely horrible side note. My roommates girlfriend came over for the first time, and my other roommate bought a teapot and said "The tea pot has rabbits on it and rabbits are a symbol of family, I guess because they breed so much and all. Its not like pandas where they are begging them to get together, like 'come on guys' and they are pushing them into each other"
But yea, back on topic. Morph a penguin, that would be fun.

to answer goom: a helmacron would be worthless, a flea would be much better to escape a tight spot cause they can jump.

true, but remember how acquiring the anteater 'refreshed' their size (since it was new dna)?
they could have morphed helmacron then demorphed.

A Garatron, those things could have kicked butt why they could defeat the Yeerks is beyond me. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh infiltration, duh.  A wolverine would also have been cool. (For those of you who don't know what a wolverine is: it is a close relative of the badger only larger and has gold fur)
Title: Re: morph wishes

and dont forget goom that a wolverines temper is way nastier, and not even a wolf will mess with it if it doesnt have to.

what was a garatron again? the really fast andalite lookin thing right?

Title: Re: morph wishes

:-\to be fair I don't think Sea Turtles would be very much use. I also think they should have tried to acquire the mutant "Aqua Hork-bajir" in the mutation.Oh and the atlantis peoples as well.
Title: Re: morph wishes
Post by: estrid on November 21, 2008, 05:21:18 PM
of course they wouldnt, BUT it would be cool.

i also think they shoulda done a kiwi bird, and an emu, and some sort of monkey(book 11 doesnt count cuz technically they never morphed, and a chimp is not a monkey)

piranhas woulda been cool

Puffer fish! I'd totally morph that.

Puffer fish also contain Tetrodotoxin, which is an extremely potent neurotoxin. In fact, the only more toxic animal is a poison dart frog.

Title: What Animals Should They Have Morphed?
Post by: SkyMorpher on May 02, 2009, 10:50:50 PM
What animals that never showed up as morphs would have been great morphs to use?

 My ideas

Bison/Buffalo
Deer
Giraffe (yeah I know it was in Alternamorphs)
Wildebeest
Sable Antelope (the horns are huge)

I often wonder what a bacteria morph would be like. Eww. I don't know if viruses can be morphed. And there's the "could they morph plants?" but that'd be a really usesless type of morph for obvious reasons.
More with the crocodillian morphs...someone else getting one that is.

I always wondered why they didn't use the dinosaur morphs after megamorphs 2. That would have been awsome.

Sario Rip rules. They lost the dinosaur morphs immediately after returning to their own timeline.
Which made sense in #11, since the ending of that book hinged on it being like that whole adventure never happened. But the point of MM2 was that everything hinged on the events of that book happening. They didn't lose their memories or anything, and the dinosaur timeline was part of their actual timeline, so they should have kept the raptor morphs. *biased*

And they should not have morphed velociraptors, as awesome as those critters are. Jurassaic Park did not represent them correctly; in real life, velociraptors were only about the size of a large turkey. ^^()

Apparently, I haven't posted in this thread, although I could have sworn I'd already ranted about how The Extreme was a totally wasted chance for a walrus morph. D= Walruses are so, so, so much more awesome than baby seals.

I believe someone mentioned walruses at some point. Maybe you posted it in another thread. Like the reread discussion thread, maybe?

Yeah. Utah Raptors would be a better depiction of what Velociraptors are made out to be in Jarassaic Park.
